I mean truly the important thing is that I don’t under cook the bloody thing so that we don’t spend Thanksgiving in the hospital with worms. I know how to make mash potatoes and gravy and I think I can figure out how to make dressing. Come on we’ve been married for how many years now? I think we handle a Thanksgiving. I make Christmas dinner how hard can this be? So when you come home tomorrow, grocery store, spending time with the kids and then bath time with your wife?”

“You’re such a dick, thankfully you’re a cute dick or I’d be offended. I have been cooking more, poor Jude was so sick of those frozen kids meals he pretty much fed his entire thing to the dogs.  So I can’t stick that thing in a drum of oil and deep fry it?”

“No, I haven’t, but there’s a first time for everything. I am staring at you so hard right now. I’ve been watching the cooking channel, I THINK I’ve got this.”

“I’m sore, but it’s nothing I’m not used to.”

“So, first order of business when you get back is a nice hot bath with your wife. Then you get help me figure out how we’re going to cook Thanksgiving Dinner.”

From her actions he was tempted as hell to get things started right then and there, but since this was their first time he wanted room to move around, and the only spot he could see that happening was the bedroom. Softly he groaned as lips sucked at his flesh, the start of a bullseye of a bruise already in the process of forming. He led her toward the bedroom, and once by the door he allowed her lips to linger before finally opening the door—wasting little time to pull her closer to his own frame to reconnect their lips for a passion filled lip lock.  

Luxe was by nature a big mouth and she wanted to tell him all these things, but she didn’t have a chance to get any words in edge wise, any time she’d open her mouth it was crashed and smothered by his and she found herself not caring about whatever was on her mind, she just wanted to keep this going. She had never met someone who got into her room so quick, she thought maybe she should have slowed things down a little bit, but at the same time, she couldn’t bring herself to. Her arms wrapping over his shoulders keeping herself so painfully close to him.

He was honestly surprised there weren’t bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep that had occurred over the last few days. It had nothing to do with the fact that he was on plane after plane, but for the simple fact he couldn’t get used to sleeping in a bed without his wife present. “I’ll wear it to the gym tomorrow.” He reached for his phone, noticing a voice mail he hadn’t checked from a few hours prior to him arriving to the house. Since it was from his Mother he went about checking it, a shake of his head made once he realized what it was about. “My Mom left me a message asking if we were coming to town for Thanksgiving.” Usually that was something he was all for happening, but after the fiasco that took place the year before, Colby wasn’t sure he wanted to head to Iowa for the holiday.

“I want it to smell like you, not stink up our sheets.” She was playing with him of course, her arm brushing into his. The mention of his mother though made her recoil in thought, “Do we have to?” She hated that she was saying that, she truly did but the fact of the matter was she didn’t like how his mother seemed to be so opinionated about Saraya’s children and how she wanted to take Julian from her. Not having Jude around Saraya was completely unacceptable for not just her but Jude. He wasn’t a clingy child in the slightest but comparing the brother and sister Jude was more reserved, and after his mother had yelled at Noir for having her outburst about holiday plans last year she didn’t want to expose Noir to that again, almost knowing that her mother in law would do that again. “I mean, I’ll do whatever you want, but we never get alone time anymore, I was thinking we could have Thanksgiving here --- just the four of us.”
