When a twenty-something waitress is presented with the opportunity to leave her small town for a convention on the other side of the country, she takes it. Joined by an actual rocket scientist and a girl who may-or-may-not be an alien, she somehow ends up on-the-run from the government in this supernatural, sci-fi adventure.

Along the way, she meets a colorful cast of characters, including: a detective who practices witchcraft, a cheeky demon who wants to become her familiar, a bounty hunter who's their roommate, and a conspiracy theorist with a penchant for sticking her nose where it doesn't belong.

Lately, I keep having this thought that maybe Bubble is the true antagonist. Like he’s a virus who is influencing Caine and keeping everyone from leaving the circus.

My theory is Pomni was exploring an abandoned office building when she found the headset leading into the digital circus. The reflection they share in their eyes is the window in front of the computer screen, which belongs to the server where the digital circus is.

Obsessed with “K-POP Demon Hunters,” but I wish Celine had a more prominent role, so Rumi’s conflict with her would feel more impactful. They should have had scenes with her. OR she could have been the manager of Huntr/x, having an arc where she pushes the girls to do better and culminating with Rumi’s confrontation with her. Bobby could have been the assistant manager, who still has moments where he supports the girls and eventually takes over as manager in the end when Celine steps down.

I’ve always regretted not doing something more with the androids and machines in Kingdom of Night from “Remember Me.” I’m thinking about making huge structural changes regarding the androids’ base of operations and the machines that were encountered.

Sometimes, I know exactly how the scene is going to go, and I can vividly imagine what the characters are doing in my head. But when it comes time to flesh out the outline and fatten up that description, I just can’t put the words together. Even if I finish putting the bare bones down, I have a hard time pushing myself to do more. It’s frustrating.

I actually wrote something this week, which I haven’t done in a long, long time. A couple lines and even entire scenes were added to most of the stories I’ve published on Archive of Our Own. I’m working on the next chapter of “Descending Shadows,” but I’m stuck on the first sentence and it still might take me a while to finish it. Wish me luck!
