So as I am looking for inspiration, I decided that I wanted to look for local talent versus mainstream designers for this WCW post. I was also looking for a designer that was emerging and all around authentic.

Meet Megan Kothari, the founder for Aaryah Jewelry!

A local from Englewood cliff, NJ who has rose from a line of jewelry makers since the 1900′s. She attended FIT and worked for L’oreal for about 2 years before pursing her own brand Aaryah.

Aaryah (Arya) in Sanskrit (1 of the 22 languages in India) means precious and rare. A mix of tribal and contemporary concepts made by Indian artisans in local communities.
