I'm Quinn Fabray, I just graduated from college and ready to start the next step in my life. I'm moving (or have moved) into a house with my boyfriend Puck and we're expecting our first child together. It's a boy and his name is Isiah Puckerman (the middle name is something Puck can tell you). I've met great people in my life, but sometimes those great people end up not being so great. p.s. I am lion by day, and a fabrosaurus by night.
No, there's plenty of ways. We can put up a flyer in the lobby of the apartment, you can put up a flyer at work I'm sure. We can put up some at the college down the street, we could also look online at babysitters.com. You should probably just leave all this to me.
This reminds me though, we haven't been on a date in awhile. Since..before he was born. With you working a lot and me being tired all the time, it's impossible. However, now that he's going on 5 months.. maybe it's time we look into a babysitter?
The cutest thing in the world is watching Puck and Isiah napping on the couch or in bed on the weekends. He looks more like Puck every day. Especially with that hair of his- which is so not ready to be cut into a mohawk.
“Do you want a sandwich? I’m starving,” Quinn stated before waiting for Puck to answer. She struggled to get off the couch but eventually had done so. The contractions always seemed to kick in when she was either trying to sleep or moving about. If it was something Quinn learned over the past week it was how to ignore them and push the pain out of her mind. However, today they seemed to be a little stronger and she couldn’t just ignore what she was feeling. But this was Quinn, she was going to suck it up until they were three minutes apart or her water broke. And as soon as she stepped foot in the kitchen and stopped to catch her breath, it seemed like Isiah was reading her mind.
Quinn could feel the liquid making itself known between her legs, and she knew it wasn’t her bladder misbehaving. She looked down at the grey sweats she had on, the front of them forming a wet spot. “Uh, Puck,” Quinn started to say as she stared in disbelief. “I need you to go to our room and get me a pair of shorts. the ones I wear to bed. Oh, and the diaper bag. Isiah’s decided he wants to be a Leo like me.” Quinn had momentarily forgetting her own birthday was less than twenty-fours away. She finally looked over at Puck and smiled, knowing the way she had just worded telling him their son was on his way into this world wasn’t exactly a normal way.
NOAH PUCKERMAN:
Puck had been enjoying his weekend with Quinn as he enjoyed all the time he had with her. He always had Saturday and Sunday off in the sense he didn’t have to go in to the record company to do work. Business trips had yet to start since Puck requested he didn’t have to seek talent in other cities for his first year because of his pregnant girlfriend. He had gotten lucky his new boss obliged to the request and let Puck know he had some time before it would be required of him to go. Apparently Downtown Record’s owner was a family man, too.
With that being how life went, it was also easy enough for Puck to ask for Monday and Tuesday off which he had done well before the week came up. He wanted those days off to be able to spend Quinn’s birthday with her, but he had yet to tell her he was going to be able to. Truthfully, her birthday hadn’t come in to conversation at all despite it being so soon and Puck wasn’t sure if he had gotten the dates wrong or if she was testing him. It somewhat threw him off, but not enough to cancel the dinner reservations he had made and even the spa treatment he had paid for for her to get during the day. He was even going to go with her even though it seemed like a chick thing, but he wanted to spend the time with her so it didn’t matter.
Right now it was the day before her birthday and it was a relaxing evening, just the three of them, with their two pets as well, hanging out. Axl had yet to leave Quinn alone from what Puck saw which was cute but also annoying since he couldn’t get real alone time with her without putting the dog out back. Missy Kitty was a little more sneaky so Puck had given up on being able to catch her and put her else where since he hardly knew where she was half the damn time. He was aware the baby was due soon, but just as Quinn had not talked about her birthday much, she also didn’t say that Isiah was on his way so Puck just went along with things. Of course that didn’t stop him from spacing out from time to time and when Quinn asked for a sandwich, he didn’t respond because he was having one of those moments.
It wasn’t until he heard her call his name that he slipped back to where he was and looked at her as she listed what he needed to do. Her last sentence didn’t make sense to him at first since he didn’t know jack shit about astrological signs so hearing “Leo” made him automatically think about Lions which Lion Quinn was something the blond called herself from time to time. It finally hit him a second later, though, and he sprung to his feet, “He’s coming now?” Puck asked in disbelief, like Isiah was a guest Puck had no idea was coming over and had done nothing to prepare for. In some ways, it felt that way. Had he really done everything? Was Isiah going to be able to come in to where they lived now and know it was home just as Puck wanted the kid to be able to? Was Puck going to be the dad he thought he would be? He had literally gotten no doubts the entire time of the pregnancy, but now he was and it was the worst time because this was when Quinn needed him most. That reminder sprung him back in to his boyfriend and almost father version. His girlfriend and his son both needed him and he wouldn’t be a let down. Not now, not ever.
Puck used the years of basketball playing to help him sprint to their room to grab the shorts, the diaper bag, his keys, his wallet, Quinn’s purse, and a pillow (though he didn’t know why) from their room before coming back down. Quinn’s purse was on one shoulder, the baby bag on the other, and the pillow tucked under his arm with the keys in his hand after putting his wallet away and her shorts in the same hand. “Okay I got the stuff, we’re ready to go.” He told her more frantic than she had been when telling him their child was coming. As he was there in front of her, he paused and calmed down as he looked right in to Quinn’s eyes. “We’re having a baby.” He blurted out and that familiar prideful, happy, excited look filled his eyes and formed in to a smile on his face. He quickly kissed Quinn before she could even object to it because there was always time for a kiss in Puck’s mind before he started walking toward the door and opening it for her.
QUINN FABRAY:
Quinn took a few deep breaths as Puck made his way to their room to get the things they needed for the hospital. They were minutes, or if the world hated her, hours away from having their son enter the world. She couldn't believe it. Their one year was just months awayh, and they were having a baby. "Ow," Quinn whined as she leaned forward, her hands holding onto her sides. The contractions were getting closer together and the pain being something Quinn hadn't been used to. "Hurry up," she urged even though she had yet to strip herself of her pants like she had wanted to. Contractions and wet pants together weren't having Quinn feeling comfortable in the slightest.
When Puck finally arrived, before Quinn could do or say much, he was kissing her and leading her towards the door. She loved him for it, however she wanted to strip herself of her wet bottoms before they did anything else. "wait, wait, wait!" Quinn said her voice growing louder on accident. "Give me the pants," but she hadn't bothered waiting for him to hand them over before she was snatching them out of his hand and struggling to get herself out of her current bottoms. "I should have just stuck to dresses for this last month," she complained when her legs were finally free from her pants. Then came having to put the shorts on. "Here, help me," Quinn shoved the shorts at Puck so he could help her.
Once her shorts were on, Quinn was ready to go. "Let's go have a baby," she said with a smile that quickly turned into a look of pain due to the contractions. "God I hope he doesn't have a big head like you," Quinn groaned as the contractions got closer together and the pain got more painful. "We are never having sex without a condom again, or sex in general. I cannot go through this pain ever again." After that, Quinn began to whisper a bunch of curse words under her breath, clutching Puck's arm with one hand and the side of her stomach with the other, ready to get this baby out of her as soon as possible.
