đđââ summary ! you think haechan has started dating someone new and as his best friend, who is secrectly in love with him, you get drunk and leave him a voicemail.
pairing ! nonidol!haechan x fembestfriend!reader.
genre ! angst with happy ending, mentions of alcohol, yn is dumb, haechan is also dumb, some kys mention but nothing serious! some text messages.
word count ! 4.1k.
đđââ note ! i was preparing something else to be my first post here but selena and gracieâs song indulged me into writing this. hope some likes this !
the apartment was completely silent.
you had stopped whatever you were doing the moment donghyuck, your best friend, had asked for dating advice.
now you could only stare at those messages, it seems like your brain was opposing to process what just happened. did you really gave him, the boy you have been liking for around a year, advice on how to get a girl? how could you even do that? well, you suppose it was the right thing to do, it would have been weird if you didnât, right? he doesnât even have an idea of your feelings for him and as a best friend, that is what you should do for each other. but why didnât you try to talk him out of that date you know nothing about, maybe you couldâve kept to yourself the flower thing, not every girl likes flowers and he doesnât know anything about flowers, he thinks a bouquet of coriander is more useful!
taking deep breaths was your way of trying to calm down and stop imagining him with a mysterious girl that he never mentioned before. as you look down at your hands, you find yourself getting lost in your thoughts again.
i miss the way we'd stay up, we'd talk about forever when i'm takin' off my makeup.
just a couple weeks ago, after a friend group celebration over some of your friends achievement, he had stayed over at your place. it would not be the first time, you two have been friends for a couple of years now. âit was late and yours is closer anywaysâ you remember he had said and he was not wrong, it was late at night, you were used to those moments where even if you were tired you would talk about anything. and that night was not different, as you were taking off your makeup, he would be rambling like he was on a podcast about how simple life would be if he was a penguin. you werenât sure how that thought even occurred to him, but he was right, if you two were penguins he would give you the most pretty rock ever and you would be together forever.
you remember how you told him that as a fun fact, and maybe thatâs why he said something about how everything he thought about his future, you were the only factor that is always there. that made you think he might feel the same.
blinking a couple of times as you tried to push your thoughts away, you decided to keep watching the chinese drama hidden love, it was not your first time watching it and maybe, for some reason it was your favourite drama at the moment. as one of the scenes you loved the most developed on the screen, you ignored the tightening feeling on your chest, trying to concentrate on how the protagonist ârechargesâ herself by hugging the male lead after a bad day.
you hadnât realised that you were crying until that scene came and a sob escaped between your lips, a small pout forming on your lips as you paused the drama. you didnât want to cry, it was unfair, why would you be crying when he is probably having a good time. but was he? really? you werenât going to lie, you hoped he was having the worst date of his life.
as you took your phone and opened his chat, the tears that never stopped falling, seemed to be slowly slipping down onto your screen. a couple of minutes later, you opened his chat and stared at the last conversation you had, as your fingers began to move along the screen and you typed âsoo, how was the dateâ staring at the message you shake your head, it was not a good idea, you should wait to see if he says something, you thought as you erased the message.
a few hours later, not watching hidden love anymore, just scrolling on your phone, bored as you closed an app and opened another without doing anything specific, you felt your phone vibrate and a couple of message notifications. you thought about ignoring it, it was already 3 am, but those were hyucks and curiosity may have won you over.
and curiosity killed the cat, is not how the saying goes?

and whДn you're feelin' down, i can show you what you're made of
you are pathetic, or at least thatâs how you have been feeling for the past days.
itâs already been two weeks and you have been kind of avoiding him. you have tried not to make it obvious, with some excuse of having a busy day at work, you barely reply to his texts and every time he suggests meeting up, you come up with some cheap fast excuse.
you dare to say that donghyuck knows you better than even you know yourself, every single time you seem feeling down, he knows and for some reason, he was the only one able to make you feel better. he had to have noticed by now and just decided to not say anything or, maybe, he has been too busy with his new girlfriend that he hasnât notice.
the girlfriend, a mysterious girl of whom you know nothing about, he may have tried to tell you about the date but you shut his attempts down, every time heâd mention something related, you magically would have something urgent to do.
it felt like if someone searched âpatheticâ a picture of you would come up, he was in a happy relationship and you were miserable overworking yourself to get over those feelings.
i'm battlin' the lack of us, i've looked for medication tried every obvious replacement in bars, in strangers' beds until my faith was in the basement
you didnât want to lose your best friend, so you decided to work towards getting over those feelings for real.
for example, last week, after one of your girlfriends tried to convince you to go out, you went to a bar together. you werenât an alcohol person but maybe it would help to take him out of your mind. but man, you were wrong.
you had only one drink, don't even remember what it was, all you remember was spending the night thinking about how clingy he would be if you were there together. he has always been a clingy person, but when he is drunk, god, he canât even take his hands off of you. you would also use him as an excuse to reject every single guy who tries to talk to you, pointing him out while muttering âalready with someoneâ. and then, the night would end with you going home with him, while you take care of his drunkass.
another example takes place a couple of days later, another friend invited you to have some coffee with her and her friends. this plan didnât need as much convincing as the other one, for you some girl time would make you feel better. so, after picking a cute sundress and putting on some makeup, you went to the direction she sent you.
it was fun, girls talking about their work, friends, relationships and anything that comes to mind. you had a great time, grateful for those three girls that you barely knew. except, for that small interaction with a stranger at the door of the cute cafe as you were leaving, he was only asking for your phone number, he was polite enough for you to feel bad, why couldnât you try to meet someone new? your mind was occupied with hyuck, and your heart surely belonged to him. you donât want anyone else.
as of right now, you decided to try another obvious distraction, what is better than baking therapy? nothing. standing there in your own kitchen with all the ingredients that you needed to make an apple pie, yeah sure, you never thought of yourself as some prodigious talented baker but you could do some really decent pastries.
after cutting the apple into little pieces, you were making the filling, adding some sugar and cinnamon to the apple when the butter had melted.
you forgot to add less sugar but you were used to making the apple pie really sweet just for him, you remembered the first time you tried the recipe. you were standing exactly where you are right now, staring at the pan wondering if it was good or needed something else.
after a few seconds of wonder, you turned to look at hyuck who was sitting on the kitchen aisle. âtry thisâ was what you had said as you walked over to him with a ghost of a smile while holding a spoon with the filling. you opened your mouth motioning him as you placed the spoon close to his lips. he smiled, opening his mouth to try what you were giving him.
you looked at him expectantly as he nodded his head, âi think is a little bit tasteless,â before you even had the opportunity to react, he stands up and pours more sugar into the pan.
as you shake your head, trying to put that memory into the back of your head, you decided it was enough. it was only nine pm, you werenât going to be sad on a saturday night! but you also werenât going to spend more time in your kitchen, too many memories it seems. you decide to go to the closest supermarket to buy some frozen food and snakes, you can spend the rest of the night eating your feelings while watching romcoms.
-
the walk was less than fifteen minutes, really close to your apartment complex.
you went directly to the snacks aisle, the chips were the most important thing for a movie night. after putting more than what you needed in the cart, you were ready to pick your dinner for the week, until you heard his laugh.
you didnât even need to look to see if it was him, you would recognise his laugh anywhere. it made you stop in your tracks, what was he doing here? it wasnât even close to where he lives, and what was he laughing at? and with who? you looked around, it didnât take you more than three seconds to find him, he was there, at the cereal aisle. you squint your eyes trying to look at the person beside him and he was with a girl, probably his girlfriend. you could not even see her and you were not about to risk yourself to be noticed by him and introduce you to her, no, that would be horrible.
walking as fast as you could, you went to the frozen food aisle and picked some pizza. why was he there? does she live close by? oh, this made you want to throw up, you canât even walk freely without the opportunity to meet them, and no, you are not ready to see him in love with somebody else. you were going to drown your feelings, you decided walking to where you could find some wine.
after grabbing a really cheap wine bottle, you went directly to the autopay, ready to leave as soon as you could.
won't you call me when you break up? i feel so outta luck, i'm skipping cracks along the pavement. look, i'm emotionally bankrupt, we're so meant for each other, i mean, god, when will you wake up, wake up?
on your walk home, you were in your head repeating âdonât cry, donât cry donât cryâ but it wasnât that easy. was he really dating someone? you always thought it would be you.
you were acting impulsively, because being honest you arenât someone with a good tolerance to alcohol. i mean, you could drink a glass of wine sometimes but not a full bottle, let alone, you finish one yourself. but maybe heartbreak causes you to do things you normally wouldn't.
this was new, you have never been this drunk before. and who would have known you were a drunk singer, singing sabrina carpentersâ âlie to girlsâ from the top of your lungs while improvising a really bad dance. when the song ended, you spaced out for a moment, looking around the room, some chips bags on the floor and even chips, the wine bottle totally empty, one sock beside the bottle and your phone inside the sock for some reason.
you laugh as you pick it up and decide to look through your phone gallery. it was sad, for some reason you had more pictures of hyuck than anything else, you ended up staring at the photo more than you should, it was your favourite and you remember that day all too well.
you guys were going to a group dinner and of course, he offered to drive you to the restaurant. and there he was looking good as always while driving, he was only wearing an oversized hoodie and some jeans but he looked breathtaking. he noticed you staring and said something along the lines of âtake a picture itâll last longerâ and so you did.
as you phone vibrated in your hand, you were brought out of your mind, it wasnât a really important notification but it made you do another impulsive thing. you went through your contacts looking for that specific one, the only one with a heart, âhyuck<3â you smiled as you finger pressed the call button.
your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice message system, **** is not available, at the tone, please record your message
a sulky expression took over your face, looking at the screen you muttered a âboo, is he asleep?. . . oh, i'm leaving a message right.â a giggle escaped your mouth, âdid you know how hard it is to get over someone? youâd find them anywhere,â motioning with your arms as you shake your head, âi look to my bed and i see you, i look to my couch and i see you, even when i look at anything in the kitchen. . .â
as you remember something you laughed alone, âsabrina was right when she saw forks everywhereâ.
playing in the sock where your phone was a couple of minutes ago you signed, âwhy do you like the things so sweet? i put too much sugar and i donât even like it, maybe is because you are sweet. . .â you were really wondering that, âi think i will give the apple pie to my neighbour, he is nice, you know him too, he asked me when were you coming over the other day. . .and i do miss youâ as the confession slipped your lips a tear fell down, âcan you. . . break up with her?â he never told you he was in a relationship but you knew.
âsh-she canât make you apple pie! oh, well i donât know that but at least not how you like it! you also have a weird sense of humor and she wonât get it like i do! and i love your sense of humor, and she wonât love you being dramatic about anything when you are bored but i do! or how clingy you are and how even more clingy you are when drunk but i do! and. . .â you hesitated to keep talking for a second, âand i thought you liked me back! god, i was so convinced that we were the whole best friends secretly mutual pining to lovers trope and that we were so meant for each other and that you didnât saw me just as a best friend and. . . an- â
âyn, are you at home?â a silent yelp left your lips as you brought both of your hands to your mouth, dropping your phone.
oh, you picked up, um
âyn?â as you heard him call your name again, you felt yourself sober up, quickly picking your phone off the floor and hanging the call without saying anything.
you were about to lose your mind, as an incoming call appeared on your screen you turned your phone off, oh you had fuck up, he knew about your feelings for him and he probably felt disgusted or mad and probably donât want you in his life anymore. you started pacing around in your room, you have to kill yourself, thatâs the best option to evade the humiliation and rejection. in other circumstances you would deal with that but not together and not coming from hyuck.
-
you know i'm always here, so don't ever be a stranger
you could feel yourself stirring awake as some sun rays come through your windows. you opened your eyes, looking around without moving, noticing you are laying on the floor of the living room.
you remember taking a shower last night, did you really fall asleep on the floor? no, maybe you slept on the couch and fell, yes that makes more sense. sitting up, you reach for your phone on the couch and turn it up.
sunday. 11 am. it only took two seconds before more than a couple of messages popped up on the screen, you blinked as the drunk confession made is way to your mind, oh, right, thatâs why he wants to talk. but you donât, you want to pretend nothing happened, so you did, you decided to ignore him.
you got ready to do nothing all day, after taking a cold shower to wake yourself up, there you were standing in the kitchen to do your breakfast. cereal was the best and fast option, right? you could eat that and later make one of the frozen pizzas you bought yesterday.
as you were about to pick a bowl, you heard the front door open. "oh god, i know thought of killing myself a few hours ago but it wasnât that serious," you cried out in your mind. wait, did you just hear the keys? no, it wasnât some serial killer who randomly decided you were going to be his victim, it was donghyuck. you were regretting giving him a copy of your keys.
without thinking about it, you quickly hide yourself under the kitchen aisle, and that was not the best hidden spot.
âi can see you, you know,â you covered your ears with your hands as you closed your eyes, âpretty,â and there it was that stupid nickname, âletâs talk.â
âno, let me alone,â you shook your head as you felt him looking at you while kneeling down beside you. âno, i donât want to talk with you.â
you hear him laugh, âpretty, we need to,â he tried to take one of your hands off your ear but you moved away from him, âwell, just hear me out. . . i canât ignore what you said on the phone,â as those words left his mouth, you let out a dramatic cry, âoh, you are now going to be the dramatic one? i thought i was the drama queen.â
âyou are,â you replied without looking at him, and that made him smile.
âpretty, i know you are the only one who can make a really sweet pie just for me, i thought you liked it that way though,â you side eye him but this time, he didnât notice, âiâm not sure about the not understanding my humor, she-â
âla la la. . .â you interrupted him in a childish way, âi already know you donât like me, i donât want to hear it.â
âshe, i donât know who is the she or the girlfriend you created for me,â that made you look at him, a pout on your lips, he was really making fun of you right now.
âthe girl you went on a date with the other day!â you pointed him out, as a frown made its way to your face, âthe one you were with at the supermarket yesterday!â for some unknown reason, that made him laugh, and now you were more than ready to maybe punch him, âwhy are you- stop laughing at me.â
âpretty, there is not a girl- well, actually there is, i have one in-â you left out a loud gasp pointing at him again, he was calling you pretty and he has a girl, oh the audacity of his man.
âi donât want to hear it,â he laughed again but this time, as your body was kind of facing him, he took the opportunity to hold your face between his hands, making you look at him.
your expression was something that made him smile, a mix of a surprised look on your eyes and a pout on your lips, âwe are best friends secretly pining mutual each other or whatever you said last night,â he shook his head, âwe are,â now you were blushing, you really said some stupid things, âi donât just like you, yn, i have fallen in love with you, i love every single thing you do,â well maybe that drunk confession wasnât that bad, âhow you are actually very caring but pretend not to, how you do things for others without even noticing, or how you make a little dance when you are excited,â he started listing things,âoh, and donât even get me started with your little habit of pouting, do you know how many times i have been wanting to kiss you?â
you were biting your cheek to prevent you from smiling as you were about to throw yourself to him, you remembered something, âwh- why you went on a date the other day then?â you questioned, looking at him with a frown on your face.
âoh, it was not me, it was jisung,â his thumb was about to touch your lips but no, you were now really confused, you covered his hands with yours and put them away.
he was playing with you now, âwhat,â he now knew he had to explain so he quickly put his hands up and started explaining.
âyes, he was really nervous cause he like- he told-told me to ask you-â and now, he was the nervous one, âhe trusted on your girl opinion or some- something like that he was saying and-â you were mad, that was obvious and hyuck had no idea of how he was going to fix it up.
as you push him away to get out under the kitchen aisle, fixing your pajamas as you stand up, he did the same. âyou made it seem like you went out on a date. not him, not someone else.â you pointed out.
he tried to reach for your hands but you quickly hit his hand, pointing your index finger towards him, âmy bad, i- mark put this stupid idea on my mind and i was trying to get a reaction from you,â you gasped, he really thought mark was some genius and followed his plan? oh you were in love with an idiot, âand then you shut down, it wasnât like you were just avoiding me and then. . . you called me and you were drunk and crying, i knew it was my fault so i tri-. . .â
you interrupted him as you rolled your eyes, âoh, shut up. i thought you were dating someone and that maybe, i donât know that i lost you fore-. . .â
it was his time to interrupt you, âpretty, iâm sorry,â he was standing right in front of you, his hands quickly hold your face before you hit him again, âi thought i had left very clear how you were never going to be a stranger for me,â you were mad but also just a girl in front of the boy you love, his words made you pout, that was too sweet, âyou are always, part of m-. . . god, stop, donât pout. . . i wi-â he decided to just do it.
when he leaned in, you felt yourself closing your eyes just waiting for him, the moment his lips brushed over yours, you felt as if a hundred butterflies erupted from your stomach. he pecked your lips softly and opened his eyes to study your reaction, you kept your eyes closed and a light blush covered your cheeks, you looked really adorable.
he smiled while putting his hands down, making you open your eyes at the loss of contact. as you were about to protest, you felt his hands around your waist pulling you impossibly closer to him, goosebumps swarming every part of your body as you hands went to his neck.
you closed your eyes waiting for him to kiss you again, and he did, laughing before his lips touched yours, this kiss was different. it started slow, almost like showing you how much he liked you, but then it was deeper, needy and more desperate as if he needed you.
you were the one to break away from the kiss, âjust-â you opened your eyes to find him already staring at you, âjust because you are cute and a good kisser doesnât mean i forgive you!â
he flashed a smile at you, âyou think iâm cute? and a good kisser?â

> paring: haechan (lee donghyuck) x readerÂ
She paced back and forth after looking at the text messages from two boys. One offering to take her to her ball and the other basically already saying he would. The decision has technically been made for her, but if she wanted to back out there was still time.
âUgh!â She already knew the answer. She knew Ari was still sore about the Mark thing but more importantly she and Haechan had a weird thing going on. She actually enjoyed his company when he was quiet, and even sometimes when he spoke.
Her roommates were both out, not coming back until tomorrow which left her to get ready alone. It wouldâve been nice if J had been able to take her, but she knew not to be too beat up about it.
Haechan texted her when he was on the way, and her stomach flipped. She poured herself a shot to calm her nerves. She took two more before continuing her makeup.
This ball was super important, a great way to network with upperclassmen who were already in powerful places while hanging out with her peers. Plus she loved an excuse to dress up. There was a chance that people would know him, but she doubted anyone would question anything. The thought of his roommates crossed her mind, did they know he was taking her?
When he knocked on her door she turned down her music before opening it. He stood on the other side, flowers in hand. She couldnât help the smile that rose on her face. âFor me?â Her eyes never tore from the pink tulips.
âYeah. Theyâre your favorites arenât they?â He shoved his hands in his pockets while she admired them. Holding it close to her chest she opens up her door for him to enter. âWhereâs your roommates?â
âOut.â She makes her way to the kitchen, he follows behind her. He leans against the wall while she pulls out a vase. âAri is likely drunk and Hana is with Jae.â
âOh yeah, I think he took her to that big amusement park like an hour away right?â
She nods, fluffing out the bouquet in the vase. Picking it up she turns to face him. âThank you by the way. Theyâre beautiful.â
âYeah.â His eyes drift to the floor, âyouâre welcome.â
Walking past him she brings them to her room and places it on her desk. Turning off the music she grabs the last of her things before meeting him back in the living room. Heâs on his phone when she arrives, but she merely puts her heels on.
Soon after she's sitting in his car, glancing around. It smells sweet on the inside, like cherry vanilla. Jâs car smelled rather musky in comparison. He plays music while they drive, but it's music she often finds herself listening to. She hums along as they drive, looking at the pretty sunset on the horizon.
He walks around the car to open the door for her and she takes a deep breath. Itâll be one of the first times the two of them are alone together in public. When the door opens, she puts a smile on and steps out. She already sees girls in beautiful dresses heading towards the door.
She holds onto his arm and he says nothing, he politely stops with her and smiles everytime she stops to talk. Heâs nothing short of a gentleman, even going as far as to pull her chair out for her.
âThis place is nice.â He looks at the huge chandelier hanging over the dance floor. The roof was also entirely made of glass. âCanât believe Iâve never been here before.â
âMe too, they host this part here every year. Doesnât communications do something similar?â
He shakes his head, âClosest thing is maybe the awards ceremony or the film festival. Still not as nice as this.â His eyes follow girls that chat amongst themselves, dresses in all different colors and lengths.
Champagne began to come around, one of the hosts gave a quick toast to thank everyone before the party really got started. Haechan watched as she chatted with her fellow peers, how funny and charismatic she could be in conversation. Some people were quite reserved or awkward, and he stepped in the best he could with some of the guys. Truth be told he didnât know many people in her department.
He was grateful when the food came, she had excused herself to the bathroom a bit ago and hadnât returned. He pulled his phone out again to check his messages. Joy had been somewhat blowing up his phone when he said no to her booty call. Quite frankly he was over feeling like he was her boyfriend, especially when he hadnât signed up for it.
When he looked up she was chatting with another girl across the room and he took a moment to look at her. She was beautiful, his hair cascading down her shoulders, her dress complimenting her skin and figure in the perfect way. He noticed other guys ogling her since they walked in, he had been silently grateful she was holding onto him. Even though her makeup was nice, he didnât know how to tell her she looked good. He was going to earlier in the kitchen but ended up chickening out.
âYour girlfriend is so gorgeous.â The girl next to him said. His chest swelled with pride when he thanked her. While paying her a compliment as well, he noticed a corsage on her wrist. Should he have gotten her one?
âI got us some drinks.â She came back with two cups, âgot a little held up.â
She found after her first plate she was no longer anxious around him. They talked lowly about all the people she knew in the room, their knees touching. She noticed how close his face was when she turned to get her purse, quickly scooting a bit away.
By the time dinner came she was two drinks in and feeling amazing. The catered food was some of the best the school had to offer too. Haechan hardly talked while he ate. Girls had already been on the dance floor and she merely watched her classmates. He offered to go with her but she only shook her head.
âGreat way for the food to digest.â He nudged her and she rolled her eyes.
âYouâve seen my dancing skills.â She tilts her head a bit and he chuckles.
âScared Iâll show you up huh?â His coy smirk doesnât leave his face. He sings along a bit before standing to his feet. He bends down to eye level to talk to her. âIf you change your mind you know where to find me.â He winks, not giving her an opportunity to say a thing.
She pulls out her phone, noticing a text from J apologizing again for not being there. She looks up at Haechan whoâs singing his little heart out beside a group of girls. Heâs busting out a few moves and she couldnât help but smile. Sheâs never seen him so dressed up, the suit fits him nicely. She bites the inside of her cheek at the thought, texting him back to say it was fine.
She decides to suck it up and join him, and his attention is quickly placed on her. As if the other people he was with didnât exist he twirled her around. A slower song played after and with much hesitation she decided to dance with him.
âYou look really nice.â He says, âA lot of girls keep telling me how pretty you are.â
Heat raises up her neck, âreally?â She canât hide her smile, âyou donât look too bad yourself.â
âYou know I once called this girl annoyingly cute and obnoxiously funny.â He lets out a breath while she had been holding hers in. âAnd she got super angry with me. Too bad for her, I kinda like it.â
She scoffs, âright.â She didnât have much else to say. It felt weird being with him, being this close. He called her cute and funny, which mightâve been the weirdest thing to happen today.
They took a short break from dancing, and she got whisked away by a group of seniors. They had all been drinking and laughing with his date while he was in the bathroom. When he approached the group, she politely introduced him. He put an arm around her waist as she chatted about her most recent project. It didnât seem to deter any of them from their subtle flirts.
He counted her drinks for her as it seemed like her cup was never empty. The other guys actively ignored him as they chatted with the girl beside him. She tried to rope him in occasionally, but they hardly paid it any mind. He squeezed her side to capture her attention and she turned her head. Her big eyes glance at him expectantly, she slowly blinks as he leans close to her ear. âDo you want to go?â He whispers, she nods. He pulls back and excuses the both of them, switching to grab her hand he whisks her away before any of them could say a word.
She says nothing as sheâs tugged towards the courtyard. It has been decorated with lights through the multicolored trees and large bushes. It felt like a scene right out of a movie.
âWow.â He says, snapping her back to reality. She lets her hand fall away while looking at one of the bushes. Her hands played with one another in front of her, she was glad he was there. âYou okay?â His voice is soft from behind her, his breath tickles her neck.
âYeah, just glad for some fresh air.â She nods, âI thought they were actually interested in my proposal. It didnât seem like that was the kind of connection they were looking for.â A sad look crosses her features. Haechan frowns, he moves beside her and pushes her hair behind her ear.
âIâm sure youâll have no problem finding work.â He looks at her earnestly. âThereâs a lot of other seniors who Iâm sure arenât scumbags.â
She chuckles, âthey were assholes.â
âYou donât need them.â Her head ducks down, he places a hand under her chin to lift it. âBelieve in yourself.â
A smile grows on her face and she rolls her eyes. âShut up.â
He rolls his eyes too at that, in the next moment he places his lips on hers. She breaks the kiss, her hands flying up to her lips. He stutters, as he notices her shocked face. His brain is empty, not having a thought to grasp onto to form words- let alone a sentence.
She pulls his tie down, bringing him back to a kiss. His hand guides her face as his other hand pulls her close.
A fit of laughter along with the burst of music scares them, the two jumping apart. A group of girls in a fit of giggles are chatting, not even noticing they were out here. She clears her throat and steps away from him, pretending as if it never happened. âItâs pretty cold out here.â She chuckles, she starts making her way back inside. He looks at her back, running a hand through his hair with his eyes shut.
