Happy Friday everyone!
Finally got my international driver’s permit! Hopefully I won’t have any problems staying on the right side of the road

Hi, my name is Fatima. Nice to meet you! This is my first blog so bear with me....I'm boring on paper but a hoot IRL. No really!
Starting in March, I will be teaching English in Japan! I'm in love with the country and am happy to be able to live there. Honestly, I didn't even know this job existed at first. My friend and I backpacked through Japan back in Aug/Sep 2014 and I met someone who's boyfriend and I both went to UIllinois. She told me he works for Interac as an ALT and thus the idea was planted!
After graduating with my Masters, I became interested in the chance to live in Japan, but didn't want to move there though until I had actually visited the country. There are so many wonderful things about Japan: the culture, the people, the FOOD (Okonomiyaki ftw), and I'm so excited to go back there.
I look forward to this new journey and hope to keep everyone updated with little tidbits from my time in Japan! どうぞよろしくお願いします!
Oh the things you'll see in Japan
You probably know what a kotatsu is, but I bet you don’t know the cool history behind it~
Kotatsu! The national treasure of Japan! I can't wait to own one!
