there is this really good episode where sisko and dukat are stranded together on a planet in the tradition of the gorn episode or the darmok episode and dukat must have seen the other shows cause he tries to stear the conversation into an epiphany of mutual understanding and respect despite their opposing political views, and test the limits of the Tolerant Left, because they are both gentlemen and he wants to express that it was never anything personal. and sisko just. doesn't let him do it. it ends with sisko finally dropping the diplomatic shit and being like you murdered 5 million people. we have no common ground. sisko can be such a hypocrite sometimes but man he draws a hard line and i respect it.
