Legion Transmogrify System
Don’t sell or disenchant any gear quite yet! The transmog system is going to be greatly improved in legion. I mean, no more full banks, bags or void storage. Here is a list what is currently known.
Information is from the beta, so everything you read is subject to change.
● There is a new tab, called “Appearances”, located in your collections. This tab can be found under [Shift + P], same as your mounts, pets, toys and heirlooms (see image above). In this tab you’ll see all your learned transmog appearances (fitting for the class you’re playing). The grey/blue outline indicates that you haven’t learned that appearance yet. (see image below) It also shows how to obtain an appearance. But you’ll still need WoWHead, IcyVeins, WoW Roleplay Gear (or whatever tickles your fancy) to actually locate the appearance.
● To learn a appearance, your character must be able to wear that item (following the original transmog rules). Once a transmog piece learned, you can do whatever you want with the original piece. Sell, enchant or whatever. The transmog appearence stays in you appearences tab. Even tabarts, enchants and shirts! Say Hello to bank space!
● Every transmog piece is sorted in categories. Head by heads, shoulders by shoulder, you get the point.
● Transmog pieces you learn are account wide. (Pieces still have the normal transmog rules. So still no warriors in pretty pink dresses, sorry.)
● But this isn’t the greatest thing! Ever created a cool or cute transmog? But changed it because you wanted something else and actually wanted back to the cool/cute transmog? The new transmog system introduces: save outfits. Oh yeah! Never again search endlessly trough gear items to get the cool transmog back, in legion it will just take a click of the button (and some gold…). You don’t need to be at the transmogrifier to create outfits, this also can be done in your collection, appearances tab.
● Head, back and shoulders can be hidden. But you have to visit the transmogrifier to do so. You can no longer hide head and back with the interface options.
The image above shows how the interface looks if you where at the transmogrifier. Click the disired gear piece you want to change, and all collected appearences apprear in the right box.
