on the shipping topic: i'm here for a good time not a long time. rp is so unserious, so i will be down for exploring all kinds of dynamics and themes. that being said i do pay attention to how different kinds of muses are treated and i'm not here for the way female/WoC/lesbian muses get snubbed, not just my own but those in the spaces near me. take that as you will, i plan to surround myself with those who treat each other equally and with respect.

i love worldbuilding but i'm aware lore that isn't contemporary isn't always easy for everyone to adjust to so feel free to message me to work out a happy medium.

i am a plot centric writer so please be open to communication and working off each other! once we break the ice and start to interact i do kinda expect to be able to get more deep with each connection and verse we build.

on a personal note, my activism is not centered around online spaces or signaling but that being said i am very pro-palestine and anti-racism. peoples social views matter and i won't tolerate willful ignorance or those who make social issues about themselves.

lestat, at his core, trying to put the people he loves above himself kills me. being hurt and angry with louis but still dropping everything to show up for him when he asks. putting aside his own devastation upon seeing regina to try to not to feed louis's delusion and put a stop to something that is harming him. even with the band, despite how grueling he's been in the recording process, he tries not to give in when they ask to be turned into vampires. he wants this album but he doesn't want to hurt them, he's afraid his blood is rotten and turning them will ruin their lives :(

his head cants to the side and he lifts a hand, gesturing to the stilled mortals around them, arrested in the midst of their noisy lives to provide some privacy for himself and his fellow vampire. ❝ you were annoyed—❞ he says it simply, as if it were obvious ❝ —so i put your annoyances in time out. ❞ undoubtedly, he himself had lent to her irritation, to that little glint in her eyes, a familiar spark before a storm. it's an expression he knows he would see in the mirror if he paused long enough to look that closely at his own soul. either way, he is not likely to sit still himself. he has never been much good at that. the best he can do is make everyone else in the crowded diner be quiet long enough to keep whatever brews behind caroline's eyes at bay. or to unleash the madness. he is not one to judge or dictate. lestat turns, looks to the booth behind them and reaches over to pluck a mug from between the hands of a mortal woman frozen in the act of yelling at her own offspring. he offers the steaming beverage to the vampire in front of him. ❝ chocolat chaud? ❞

many of hannibal's mannerisms and movements are for his own amusement. more so, usually, for his own curiosity. he likes to poke and prod ( he is a doctor, after all ), test the limits of the environment and those around him. unfortunately for lestat, it's easy to push. 'would you believe me if i told you i simply enjoy seeing how you react?' his grasp remains firm on lestat's arm, well aware of what the other man could do to him, if he so chooses - though he never does. 'you have quite the inventory of human emotion, in spite of what you are. i find it fascinating,' eyes graze over the other's features, taking in his ethereal beauty, his flawless skin and fiery eyes. then, he insists on pulling lestat even closer toward him, stopping only when their chests were touching and their noses were barely an inch apart. 'do not take offense, mon cher. it is only because i find you so interesting that i taunt you, so,' canines show on his bottom teeth as he grins, breath hot on lestat's cheek. 'i only ask that you humor me, at times,'

he understands it—the desire to poke and prod at that which fascinates you, the undying curiosity, the impulse to do something just to see what happens. lestat hangs onto the doctor's every word. he exceeds him in age and experience by lightyears, yet beneath hannibal's gaze he feels like a sapling. a young tree seeking nourishment in old waters. ❝ it is not in spite of what i am. you mistake my monstrosity with lack of humanity, ❞ he murmurs lowly. his eyes waver, looking down at the other man's lips, drinking in the warmth of his breath upon his skin. ❝ we feel more—vampires...we feel everything with far more intensity—in greater weights—than any mortal could endure. if you felt what i feel you would shrink. you'd curl into a ball like one of your sad little puppet patients and die. ❞ he moves his hand forward, fingertips toying with the hem of hannibal's suit jacket. ❝ so what's in it for me? ❞ he asks. ❝ i humor your cruel curiosities but what satisfaction do i receive in turn? ❞

her moment of panicked frozenness dissipates as it becomes clear that ines isn't going to really do anything about it . caroline lets out a breathy , anxious laugh as she focuses back to shoving her stained clothes back into a plastic bag . it's a shame , really . she loved that outfit . but there are certain blood stains that won't come out no matter how many times she goes through her stain-removing laundry hacks . " no , this is just what happens when a jerk-face doesn't listen and do as he's told . " caroline grumbles , peeling off the bloodstained t-shirt and dropping it into the bag . it leaves her practically naked , left in blood-smudged lingerie , but whatever . she'd rather this than risk staining more things on her way to the shower . " he moved when i went to grab for his throat and , well , " there's really no delicate way to explain an accidental decapitation . or the way that blood spurts when you sever the carotid . her nail hit a bad spot and it was all over . " this happened . "

amusement briefly flashes in her eyes as the other woman talks, particularly the way she phrases it. jerk-face. she stores the unfamiliar slang in her brain for later and shifts her weight, continuing to watch the young vampire shred away more bloodstained garments. she hums and gives a half-nod, not particularly interested in the actual topic of conversation so much as the participant herself. ❝ shit happens, ❞ she shrugs. ❝ you know that's why some of us just wear black. ❞ she can't really imagine the woman in front of her sporting the look, she supposes. but, still. inés scratches at chipped nailpolish on her thumb, inspecting the long, sharp nails. ❝ shame his blood ruined your set, ❞ she mutters, nodding at the lingerie she stands in. ❝ did your maker not teach you how to control the mortals? seduce them with your gaze? ❞

she hadn’t initially meant for her words to become a conversation. a brief moment of venting her frustration partly under her breath, sure, but no more than that. she is flattered when mel seems to think otherwise, having overheard her, and instinctively tries to comfort her. earning that level of empathy is a hard around the pitt these days. she blinks, a little shocked, her mouth opening and closing when she tries and fails to tell the other that there’s no need for this. at the same time, samira knows that she probably wouldn’t have believed mel, if their roles were reversed, and she stammered some kind of don’t worry about me, i’m fine.

the compliments feel so earnest that it makes her smile. “i am glad that i have managed to teach you something.” again, she isn’t sure that is the general consensus. samira looks up from where she’s bent over her charting to seek out mel’s eyes, “it does help. thanks, dr king. ” she says it like she means it, ignoring the part that suggests she’s burnout. she shakes her head and a piece of hair comes lose, in the same way it has been doing several times the last couple of hours. she awkwardly huffs trying to get it out of the way. “i am just a little tired. i’ll be fine the second this shift is over.”

a small smile reappears on pink lips. mel nods, satisfied her words were taken well and with the right intention. she tries sometimes, with the others, to reach out when they look troubled. it's not always successful or mutual ( at least not without some patient pulling them away before she can even finish her sentence then they always seem to forget they were ever discussing anything in the first place ). doctor mohan always seems engaged, at least, even if she too can be distracted. they all can. this place does not lend to lengthy conversations outside of casework. mel has accepted that even if it leaves her isolated. sometimes she thinks doctor mohan is isolated too. maybe they all are.

her eyes track the strands of hair which fall into the other woman's eyes. briefly she is almost amused by the gesture of her little huff. or maybe not amused, something else. endeared, she thinks. she blinks and focuses back on the doctor mohan's gaze when she speaks, or rather between the eyebrows, sometimes her gaze is a little too intense. ❝ well, we're only a few hours away, ❞ she offers. there's a long pause and she fidgets with the edge of her clip board before she ventures ❝ what do you...usually do after work? to relax i mean. i used to take my sister to my apartment and watch movies, usually one movie, but we're trying to do things differently right now and i— ❞ she scrunches up her nose and shakes her head. she rambling again. ❝ anyway. i just mean, have you found something? that helps? ❞

it irks me people are misreading mel's reaction to becca saying she 'likes' langdon as her having a crush on him and not an autistic woman in the work place feeling embarrassed because we tend to feel connections and hold onto even brief moments of kindness in ways that neurotypical social dynamics will either read as weird, intense or even mischaracterize as some kind of crush ( ironic innit ). she is aware she knew him for one day and also knows becca likes to tease her about finding a bf and was worried she'd say something inappropriate for the workplace. do y'all know how humiliating it is to feel intense appreciation and bonds with people too quickly as an autist and have the neurotypicals around you ALWAYS say it's a crush like you can't just be happy around friends??
