> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Basically, earlier today I got this weird connection accepted into the hub, and Captain wants me to disconnect it. Except I can't really figure out how to do that.
> Pumpkin Spice [Aut.Cor.Sys.] (Ae/Aer): Huh.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): No listen, it's really weird. Like, I tried to track the location of the signal, like, where it's transmitting from, and the hub just says this.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): YEAH, I know right??? Captain thinks its a new kind of impostor sabotage or something like that.
> Pumpkin Spice [Aut.Cor.Sys.] (Ae/Aer): Has the connection been malevolent so far?
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): ... Actually, no. I've been talking to them, there's several I think, and they're pretty nice. Captain's worried about it, though, so...
> Pumpkin Spice [Aut.Cor.Sys.] (Ae/Aer): Yeah, I get it. But communications isn't really my field. I'm an electrician, so why would they want me to help you?
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Beats me. Maybe you're my moral support, or something.
[an unintelligible shout from afar, followed by crashing and clattering]
> Pumpkin Spice [Aut.Cor.Sys.] (Ae/Aer): What was that?
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Sounded like it came from storage?
> Pumpkin Spice [Aut.Cor.Sys.] (Ae/Aer): I'll go see, gimme a sec.
[retreating footsteps over carpet, then metal]
[unintelligible]
[silence]
[returning footsteps]
> Pumpkin Spice [Aut.Cor.Sys.] (Ae/Aer): That was Salad Bowl and Caramel Cocoa. A crate fell and hit Caramel Cocoa, and Salad Bowl's walking tem to medbay.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Oh stars, I hope tey's okay. We stack those crates way too high in there.
> Pumpkin Spice [Aut.Cor.Sys.] (Ae/Aer): I think tey will be! Tey were insising tey were fine, but Salad Bowl wanted to take tem to medbay to make sure.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): I'm glad they have each other, at least.
[keyboard clicking, slower and unsure]
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Wait, I think I got it!
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Officer Peach Melon, are you there.
INPUT: Connection accepted.
> PIN-p34chm310n: I am here.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Good.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: I've been looking for you everywhere, but I figured messaging you would probably be faster at this point.
> PIN-p34chm310n: Do you need something, Lieutenant?
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Yes, two things.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: I'll make it quick.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: First, Captain Vanilla Sundae wants you to find and escort Autumn Cornucopia to the Communications Hub to join Sour Apple in doing... whatever it is kei's doing.
> PIN-p34chm310n: Affirmative.
> PIN-p34chm310n: The second thing?
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: I need to make an impostor suspicion report.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: I want to make a suspicion report on Salad Bowl.
> PIN-p34chm310n: Why phem?
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Phey're really fucking jittery. It's almost like phey've never been on a fucking spaceship before.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Also.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: I know it is pheir first mission, so that's probably why, but I can't shake the feeling that there's more to phem underneath that... anxious expression.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: I don't know how to explain it, but phey put me on edge and it's really fucking weird because phey shouldn't.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Salad Bowl is shy and so is Caramel Cocoa, but Caramel Cocoa doesn't make every single sense I have scrunch up and start blaring.
> PIN-p34chm310n: Okay. I will file the report as soon as I am able.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Thanks, Peach Melon.
> RED-ch111p3pp3r: Don't forget to send Autumn Cornucopia to Communications.
{> LIM-50ur4pp13: MIRA gives us provisions. The usual kind of stuff that lasts way longer than food is supposed to last, y'know. It's not gourmet, but food's food.}
Question? Woukdnt it be better to maybe get to know the final few before accusing anyone? They could be worse after all
SKELD UNIT 10.042: TRANSCRIPT
{> LIM-50ur4pp13: I... guess, yeah. Maybe. Caramel Cocoa and Salad Bowl are both really shy though, and I don't wanna scare them. Chili Pepper says I can be abrasive, which like... look in the mirror, maybe? Anyways, I don't actually know Lavender Plum or Mocha Bean that well either. They both seem cool, though. I had no idea Mocha Bean was a parent. Lavender Plum is a good listener, though. Rei let me talk the entire way back here.}
Is there any good thing of the ship that makes things worth it? Or is there not even a single silver lining here :(
SKELD UNIT 10.042: TRANSCRIPT
{> LIM-50ur4pp13: Well... Even though I didn't want to be here, it's not too bad. There are worse SKELD ships to be stuck on, I would think. And the crewmates I do actually get along with are nice. At least I'm not alone on a ship full of people I hate.}
if some crewmates are assholes, whic ones arnet then? Like, who are your friends i guess?
SKELD UNIT 10.042: TRANSCRIPT
{> LIM-50ur4pp13: Actually, now that I think about it, Lemon Wedge is really the only one who's primarily an asshole. Chili Pepper is also kind of an asshole, but she's kind of just doing her job. She's Captain Vanilla Sundae's second in command. Berry Pie is really laid back, but... they get intense. Sometimes.
Anyways, to actually answer your question, I'm friends with Autumn Cornucopia and Winter Raspberry. I don't know Salad Bowl or Caramel Cocoa all that well yet, but they both seem cool, and Peach Melon seems cool too, since he's friends with Autumn Cornucopia.}
Sorry to hear that :( wish there was something we could do to help,,

{Anonymous MSG: Can we ask what you were offered that was enough to risk your life? - hera.
> LIM-50ur4pp13: It, ah... It's not all rainbows and sunshine back home, you know. Money, housing, food... Not all tuvits have access to those things. Like me, and my sibling. Let's... talk about something else.}
{> LIM-50ur4pp13: Oh, LOTS of reasons. It's super annoying, it's never doing its tasks, it's always trying to get other crewmates alone with it- I say, Lemon Wedge is suspicious.}
You didn’t want to? We’re you doing it for someone else, or…?
SKELD UNIT 10.042: TRANSCRIPT
{> LIM-50ur4pp13: Well, um... It's... complicated. ... I know I'm probably going to die out here.
> LIM-50ur4pp13: ... MIRA offered incentives to join their space exploration program.
> LIM-50ur4pp13: When impostors started becoming a more prominent problem, MIRA had trouble getting people to join the space program. It's just my little sibling and I, back home. But, with this incentive from MIRA... If I do die out here, at least my sibling won't have to worry anymore.}
Being on a Skeld ship sounds kind scary :’( why do you do it?
SKELD UNIT 10.042: TRANSCRIPT
{> LIM-50ur4pp13: Ugh. It's not really that scary. Some of my crewmates are real assholes, though. As for why... I actually didn't even want to be in the MIRA space program.}
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Hey Sour Apple, I was startin' ta wonder where you'd gone.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Oh, uh? Hi, Doctor, what... what are you doing in here?
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Caught Mocha Bean's kid in here. Oh, uh, speakin' of Mocha Bean...
[chair squeaks, shuffling on carpet]
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Lavender Plum, d'ya know if Cap sent em ta medbay yet or not?
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Why would I know that?
> Berry Pie (They/Them): No need ta get huffy, was just a question. I figured you might know since you're both officers. I need eir kid to do a scan since jhey didn't with the rest of us when we boarded.
[a pause]
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Yes, Captain Vanilla Sundae sent Mocha Bean to medbay with eir kid.
> Berry Pie (They/Them): That wasn't so hard, see? Ya might just get that stick out of your ass before we get ta the Polus star system.
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Forgive me for wanting clarification, Doctor.
[chair squeaking, settling]
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): [sigh] Okay, thanks for watching the hub, Berry Pie. Lavender Plum, if you're done 'escorting' me, don't forget to uh, do that report thing I told you about?
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Report thing?
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): It is none of your business, Doctor-
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Yeah, I think Lemon Wedge is an impostor.
[silence]
> Berry Pie (They/Them): ... Lemon Wedge?
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Yeah, it makes sense, doesn't it? Lemon Wedge has been-
> Berry Pie (They/Them): There ain't no way in the void that Lemon Wedge is an impostor.
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): What makes you say this, Doctor?
[a pause]
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Well, for starters, it's too obvious. If it had anything ta hide, it sure ain't actin' like it.
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Impostors are unpredictable, Doctor.
> Berry Pie (They/Them): The only thing unpredictable about Lemon Wedge is who it's plannin' on flirtin' with next. And even that ain't too hard ta follow.
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem Rhir): You seem rather determined to defend it.
> Berry Pie (They/Them): I ain't been wrong about an impostor yet, and Lemon Wedge don't feel dangerous to me.
[silence]
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Um... can you still file that report anyways, Lavender Plum?
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Affirmative. We are not supposed to disregard impostor suspicions in any case.
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Wasn't suggestin' that you do. Just my personal thoughts on it, since you asked for 'em.
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Mmh.
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Anyways, 'fore I go, Sour Apple?
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Yyyyes?
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Keep your suspicions secret. Any one of us in this room could be an imp, and you might've just given them a convenient way to manipulate you, usin' your thoughts on Lemon Wedge to their advantage.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): O-Oh.
> Berry Pie (They/Them): Ain't tryna scare ya, but you need ta be careful. MIRA ain't givin' any fucks about our lives out here anymore.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): ... Okay.
[footsteps over carpet, then metal, gradually retreating]
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): [muttering] What a pain in the ass.
> Sour Apple (Kei/Kem/Kir): Huh?
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Just thinking to myself.
[footsteps over carpet, pausing on metal]
> Lavender Plum (Rei/Rhem/Rhir): Peach Melon, I believe Lieutenant Chili Pepper was looking for you earlier.
> Peach Melon (He/Him): [soft crinkling of paper]
[retreating footsteps over metal continue before being followed by a second, heavier pair]
Wait, you think we're imposters? Why on... why would we sabotage a random SKELD crew when we're not even on board?
- hera.
SKELD UNIT 10.042: TRANSCRIPT
{> BLU-83rr7p13: You tell me, hun. For all I know, you ARE on board. I ain't no tech, but even I know that the comm range of SKELD ship ain't too grand.}
