Lately I feel like defending Lucien because he has so much potential and he went through a lot too and sometimes I feel like people see him as an extension of Tamlin and his actions and forget that he went through a lot too, even by the hand of someone who he considered a friend.
"Silence again.
Then a vicious snarl, and a shudder of magic rocked the house.
I didn't want to know what was happening in that room, what he'd done to Lucien, what Lucien had even looked like to cause that pulse of power."
""It's why I couldn't come sooner,"" he said, his throat bobbing. "She used her - used our powers to keep my back from healing. I haven't been able to move until today.""
I feel like all of this, including his complex relationship with Feyre, needs to be acknowledged way more than making him seem like he's the worst, often because of unjustified reasons. If you re-read a lot of scenes including or involving Lucien and trying to empathize with him more you'll notice that he often got the short end of the stick. I'm not saying he's perfect because a lot of characters are complex but he's not the villain.
