got sent a flattened image for label and when i checked the metadata i saw that it was created in 2019 using a 2015 version of photoshop and fr i just didn't think going back and asking them for the .psd was gonna shake out if i'm being ever so honest. i have that sixth sense.

so recreation time! had to find a weird ass font they were using that was stylised wiggly with horizontal ombre lined shading so like.... figure that out...

BUT I DID - australian sunset babey! because of course i did 💅 love making myself important at work. great. but i got curious about the designer bc it seems like such a random choice of obscure font? the site at the wayback machine link there isn't the designer's foundry site, but it's a repository collected by someone else...

AND. APPARENTLY. hot goss is that the original designer, graham meade, was apparently sued by fox back in 2000 bc he handmade a font inspired by the buffy wordmark logo and his website, gem fonts, was shitcanned during the legal proceedings! well now!

Graham Meade, the prolific Australian designer from Melbourne who runs GemFonts asked Simon Daniels at Microsoft to place a link to his font site. Simon's reply on January 4, 2000: "Sorry, we promote type design, not archive sites." Graham's reply: "Obviously you haven't looked at the site. It isn't an archive. It is original work." Simon's reply to this: "Are you having a laugh? Since when did loading a font into a font editor, changing a few settings and saving it out become considered 'original work'?" Now, check out Graham's fonts, and see for yourself. It continues on January 5: Graham writes "You believe what you wish, but to castigate without knowing the truth is a basis of stupidity. I do take great offence at your rather offhand, innaccurate remarks. But it will be impossible to convince you of anything, even if I supply you with the illustrator works for my fonts (which I have). While some of my fonts are philtered versions of earlier works of mine, or are similar to other fonts, they are mine. What the fuck happens that changes these stats to such a massive degree?

1) schizophrenia hardly ever causes people to be violent so schizophrenic people aren’t more likely to be violent than anyone else

2) schizophrenic people’s autonomy is often taken away from them because of their schizophrenia. because the authorities and mental healthcare providers often automatically assume schizophrenic people to be violent, they’re more likely to immediately react to schizophrenic people's symptoms with violence, without even knowing for sure said schizophrenic person was going to be violent. all of this causes schizophrenic people to be more likely of being victims of violence and abuse. schizophrenic people also have a harder time getting out of abusive households because of the risk of their autonomy being taken away. if a schizophrenic person’s relative or partner is abusive, often the schizophrenic person has no way out of the situation, both because our disconnect from reality can result in us being easier to manipulate, and because the system is built in a way that it takes away our autonomy because of our condition.
