one of my head cannons is that maybe a big argument happened between alberto and his dad which made his dad abandon him, so when alberto lashed out on luca just to have luca stubbornly go against him and try to win the vespa made alberto realize that his dad's behavior wasn't normal and now instead of thinking about his dad whenever he's mad, he thinks of luca and how much effort luca put into accomplishing the one thing that brought them together
