I've been thinking of doing decora/fairy kei in brown based themes, like chocolate, caramels, and other pastry/candy colors. I say this because I see a lot of pastels and pinks, where we can incorporate browns and sweets. Idk what do you think~? o・・o

Mod S: As long as the brown is not overwhelming the other pastel colors you can totally do that. The niche of fairy kei centers around pastel colors but with decora your color scheme can be whatever you want it to be. Don’t be afraid to incorporate browns though. Personally it’s not my thing but if you wanna do it, go right ahead! I’ve seen such coords too and think they look cute. c:

Mod S: While there may be some general common traits when it comes to defining fairy kei fashion (such as the pastel color theme or the pillow-y, flowing like styled clothing), I can assure you that there’s no need to stress. For one thing the fairy kei community is generally a lovely and positive community (hence this blog is to meant to expose that). If someone flat out tells you that you’re not wearing fairy kei right, that’s generally a rude thing to say and I wouldn’t take the time to listen to such people. Friendly criticism is fine and if the person was truly caring or nice enough, they wouldn’t say it in such a tone. Also, if you would ever like advice when it comes to fairy kei fashion don’t feel shy to ask fellow peers who wear it or even the mods that run this blog. We all love the fashion equally and are always willing to open ourselves up to those who are just starting out. TL;DR no need to stress, this is a safe environment and we want you to feel comfortable to ask advice and to not feel judged for your choices. Plus one of the best things about fairy kei is that there are practically no rules to it so you can be as creative as you like. :)
