The truth is I fear that people first fall in love with the idea of me before they have actually met the real me. And by that point, they are long gone and I have only just began to let my guard down for them. I fear that most men are like that, that they love what they see before they unravel the raw nitty gritty of a woman, the parts that aren’t so beautiful, or rather can be but not in the traditional way. That take loving the soul and not the body to truly appreciate. I think that is what a real man is- a rare one- that can find the ugly in a woman but love her more for it anyhow.
