“Yeah, we’re not exactly normal. Very special, but perhaps I shouldn’t be saying that, I will end up taking the throne, might be a little bit of an insult to start talking about things now.” Zach shrugged, watching carefully as the door opened. It only took seconds for Nick to tackle him, growling a couple inches from the younger’s face, but not approaching more than that, as if knowing better. The amount of respect Nick had for Shiro kept Zach from being attacked, despite the wolf growling away. “I still have my throat, so I think we’re in the clear?”
Two big paws remained in the middle of his brother’s back, loud growls still escaping. In his mind, he was protecting Shiro, someone who he saw as a father figure, someone to finally treat him with respect. Hate having seeped in from the favoritism in their family, the wolf feared this would end the same way as his home life did, with people refusing to listen or care. As Zach spoke about having his throat, he moved to act as if he would rip out Zach’s throat, to silence him, snapping his jaws barely an inch away from the other’s ear.

not that it was easy. early stages of being turned were the hardest , after all & he hadn’t exactly known what provoked such a reaction from the younger wolf. shiro had gotten down on his knees by the pair , hand firmly gripping the wolf by the scruff of his neck to pull him back. maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad to collar him. ❝ nick , no. calm down & get off him. you need to talk to me , tell me what the fuck is going on with you. ❞
