Donating to shelters, bring their awareness to the homeless man near your house. Help not only one, but many. Donate today. Anything and everything helps.
we drove all around downtown and we were able to give all this away!
the people were very thankful when we gave a lunch (well, we actually gave these out in the morning but IM STILL CALLING THEM LUNCHES)
it honestly felt heartwarming to hear a “thank you, god bless”
From the words of Mic "It was back in grade 6, when Nicole and I went to different schools (we knew each other from a gifted program, though). Around the Christmas season, our class went on a trip to St. Michael's cathedral ( we go to catholic schools), and after mass, we asked homeless people if they wanted a lunch. We put a ham sandwich, an apple, a bottle of water, and a small chocolate heart in each ziplock bag. Man, was it fun."
Hello. Our names are Mic and Nicole, and we are starting a project we call “little notes & lunches”
We are currently doing this as part of a project for school, and we wanted to do something about the homeless and hungry.
What we are doing is this:
-we are going to raise money, which will go to a local shelter(s) that offer meals to the homeless to get fresh/better foods.
-we are also going to make small bagged lunches, which we will go downtown to offer the lunches to any homeless people we see on the streets.
For that last one, we want you to do the same.
We want you to make small lunches and pass them out to the homeless.
What do I put into the lunches?
It's best to keep the lunches small and simple, such as:
-a simple sandwich( a slice of ham, cheese, or cream cheese will do).
-a piece of fruit/vegetable (a small apple or a few baby carrots, perhaps?)
-a bottle of water (water is cheap, as well as healthy)
and just put them all in paper bags/ziplock bags.
As well you could also put one of these cards we have provided here in this link--[here]-- and add an inspirational message on it!
Obviously, we don't want you thinking that you would have to spend a lot of money. These items are fairly cheap depending on where/what you buy, and even $20.00 (Canadian dollars) could get you enough items to make several lunches.
But in honesty, you are free to make the lunches however you like.
As well, please send us pictures of the lunches you made and what you wrote on your notes, as well as you going out on the streets to give the lunches out!
Please share any stories as well, as we will be posting all of these, as well as the pictures, on this blog!
We are really hoping you help. Giving a little help to someone who can't is the greatest thing a person could do for someone, even if it was something small. It may even brighten up someone's day.
Thank you very much for reading! We hope you participate in this project, and please spread this around if you can!

For any questions/inquiries, don't hesitate to ask us!
P.s. We recommend you do this somewhere around this month of May. It may be too early for some, but we really need help for our project. Thank you!
