WWM.
Can't believe it's already 2026. Anyway, I'm still kick'n. I've been busy playing Where Winds Meet.
A gift for a friend. ⭐️
A friend’s OC + my OC.
Today I read Ningen Shikkaku (No Longer Human) by Osamu Dazai, and it described the 'dead inside but still breathing' feeling quite well along with one feeling disconnected from cultural/societal norms, relationships, etc.
It was an interesting read, and at times it made me feel a bit somber (respectively because many parts were relatable and/or shoes could be filled from said perspectives).
It also reminded me a bit of Hashihime of the Old Book Town.
Was this how [insert character name here] felt? I thought.
...
I pondered for a while after finishing the book.
Been thinking about how ‘Hikaru’ wiped Asako’s tears and then understood what it meant to mourn vs the probability of ‘Hikaru’ confusingly touching the streaks of tears on Yoshiki’s face before grasping the concept.
Eating.
I finally finished this project I unnecessarily bestowed onto myself (because inspiration):
It is now available on Ao3!
*If it's being wonky please collapse the story by hitting the "Entire Work" tab, if you're on mobile.
I finished playing Nie no Machi (The Town of Nie) today, and boy am I excited to play Nie no Machi -Iro Musubi- next.
Despite a lot of the CGs having been censored, it was still a pleasant BL VN (grew up playing DMMd by NITRO CHiRAL at its release/hype, so Nie no Machi isn't as morbid).
On my first playthrough, Hisora was pulled out from his bedroom window. I was so stunned I had to take a momentary break.
My second playthrough was a tad better, but still had an unfortunate ending as the Landlord kidnapped Hisora--spirited away poor Hisora the airhead.
My third playthrough is by far my favorite good ending! I managed to sway Asuku and chose the right answers, and we met up in the real world (the way I was internally weeping when they reunited and things were further explained).
After finishing Asuku's playthrough, I went in the play order of Mio > Koko > Naruomi.
Originally, I was invested in the characters by order of: Asuku > Koko > Mio > Naruomi.
But.
By the end of each character playthrough, it became like this instead: Asuku > Shiro & Kuro > Naruomi > Mio > Koko.
I won't give away any other spoilers, but I loved the game! I read a lot of posts about the CGs being censored for the Nintendo Switch release, but I thought I'd risk it as long as the translations and the storyline(s) were worth it--censored CG is sad, but it's not a big deal so long as the other two are greater in value.

What a pleasant livestream. It was soothing to just hear them talk.
Every time I saw Tom resting his chin on his hand it reminded me of Henry thinking when in mid-conversation or diagnosing a patient, and Luke munching on the Pringles ketchup flavor was super adorable (and the jacket looks so comfy and nice on him).
Thank you for spending 4 hours with us, and for scaring some of us awake with your duo "AAAAAAA" (iykyk).
How stylish was your Henry for the wedding?

***CAUTION. May contain spoilers! ***
My KCD2 adventure thus far (part 2):
- The wedding was going great…until it wasn’t.
- Sir Hans Capon and I got in trouble, but he apologized for his stubborn mule attitude and mishaps (which I greatly appreciated).
- Sir Capon was sentenced to be lynched and we were separated. Instead of doing work, I frantically trespassed through Trosky Castle to save my lord (no one was killed).
- By the seventh bell all went well and I got everything I needed under control. My lord was saved and Chamberlain Ulrich was scolded by Lord Otto von Bergow and Sir Hans Capon.
- Sir Capon and I went to Nebakov to deliver Lord Otto's message.
- While my lord discussed the message I was left with the Nebakov locals, so I surveyed the place and chatted. I investigated…and dawdled with the herb woman (wink).
- I was constantly told I could not view lower Nebakov, so I snuck and snagged a key from a guard…who I murdered. Thus, a small quarrel began, and I had to slay an additional three witnesses.
- Lord Otto von Bergow had a prisoner who wouldn’t give them answers, so Sir Capon and I were tasked with getting answers. I wasn’t very nice at the end of the interrogation and I think I scared Sir Capon…
- A traitor was discovered and their home burned (I fought to not burn it—didn’t want another Skalitz scenario).
- Sir Capon and I lied to Lord Otto von Bergow. Hence, we are royally fucked.
