To fix the glitches, make sure the tech-savvy professionals always got your back.

  Poor communication

Planning a successful event takes a lot of teamwork. While working as a team it is important to have a smooth communication process and make sure the right message reaches the right person. It takes a lot of scheduling, jotting down little details and a solid team of volunteers. Poor communication comes from poor coordination and an unavoidable mess is created within the team itself.

Fraud Cases in India

The dictionary defines ‘fraud’ as a wrongful or criminal deception made for a personal gain. While frauds are intended to defame another individual, defrauding people of money is presumably the most common type of fraud. Frauds and corrupt practices in banks, corporates, politics and even educational institutions are common.

Let us have a look at some alleged fraud cases in India:

Case 1

Did you know that even professors of many reputed educational institutes are holders of fake credentials?  One such notable educational fraud racket is the teacher recruitment scam of 2008.

Widely known as the JBT scam, this one involves illegal recruitment of 3,206 teachers back in 2008. Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and his MLA son Ajay were charged of using forged documents to appoint the teachers after taking hefty amounts from them. Chautalas and two IAS officers were sentenced to ten years in prison by a special CBI court.

Case 2

The Bihar topper scam of 2016 is another noteworthy scam which shows what is wrong in the education system of India. The police have the evidence of Harihar Nath Jha’s involvement in the case who is the secretary of Bihar board. Bachcha Rai, the principal of Vishun Roy College and many other officials were put behind the bars along with by the Special Investigation Team. Ruby Rai, hitherto declared topper in arts, failed to reply to basic questions about her subjects became the subject of controversy.

Case 3

This incident is of a speech by Rachna Sharma, the founder of a social enterprise Vision 2021. She was the Guest of Honor at 3rd International Business Plan Competition, University of Jammu. Her speech ‘Framework to Think Big’ was not convincing for the audience supported by generic off-the-shelf presentations that was not tailored to address the needs of this particular audience. Listeners knew she had not done her homework, and their response ranged from disappointment and frustration to anger and disengagement.

Case 4

Another fraud in the name of education was done by SRM Group Chairman and SRM University Chancellor TR Pachamuthu. Every year he used to make 1000 crores as donation from students by luring them to obtain a medical seat in SRM College. The 75 – year – old was arrested by Chennai Police on charges of cheating the students and parents.

One thing common in all these cases is the misuse of power by the officials. Fraud cases have ramifications for individuals, organizations and the society also. They have a negative impact on the society and we need stringent policies against all those involved in fraud cases, directly or indirectly.
