He was lingering around the circus grounds, black pants low on his waist and his red zipup hanging open. He had no shirt beneath, his toned stomach pale as the rest of him. His black hair tied in a ponytail. He froze suddenly, looking around. No way.
They were enjoying their time at the circus. His son was definitely getting a kick out of watching the performers, it was evident by the clear look of awe on the small boy’s face and the excitement in his voice. Garry wasn’t as into it, but seeing Xenos like that made it totally worth it. As Xenos watched the performers, Garry took the time to look at their surroundings and watch the different people passing by. And that’s when he saw him.
“D… Dimitri?” That is him, right? He was pretty sure of it. The one circus he decided to take Xenos to happens to be the very one Dimitri decided to travel with? “What a coincidence…” He didn’t know what else to say. He still had feelings for the other, but he wasn’t sure if it was mutual anymore.

Dimitri smiled and led them out of the circus. He found his old truck and opened the door for Garry, “Do you want me to take you home or did you drive her yourself?” Dimitri wasn’t sure what had happened in his absence, but he was sure a lot had happened behind the scene, even if it didn’t show on the surface. He looked at Xenos and closed his eyes tight for a moment. He had grown up so much… Who would have thought. He’d missed so much.
But would they stay away and leave his family alone? He was always running… his past was catching him slowly and it was almost time for the end. Did he have the strength to protect those closest to him and fight? Dimitri’s hand began to tremble at the thought of losing the little piece of heaven he had worked so hard to keep, even if he wasn’t around often. He needed these two beings about as much as he needed air.
🌹 “Oh. I wouldn’t mind you giving us a ride home. We actually walked to the circus since its only just a few blocks away from our place.” he answered and was about to get into the car, but paused when he noticed Dimitri’s expression. It looked like he was deep in thought about something… Or possibly worrying about one thing or another. Garry chewed his lip for a moment before speaking up.
“Hey… Are you alright?” Maybe he was busy and wasn’t actually supposed to be leaving at a time like this? At least, that’s what Garry thought would be the problem here. “… You don’t have to drive us home if you’re busy right now.”
He shook his head, “I don’t mind. I want to go home... I want to take some time off my job and spend some time with you.” He smiled a little and got in, starting the engine. He paused and then a car seat formed in the back for Xenos. “I even remember how to get there... I visited on some occasions...” He whispered, “When you two were asleep.”
