I always struggle to recreate perfect fabric textures in daz iray, it's always close but not quite. But I am loving the non-binary #genesis9 figures - so much easier and intuitive to create NB, gender diverse and ambigous models.
I'm going to make one more Fifth Element look - leaning heavily towards Leeloo's disco gold leggings with neon orange rubber dungaree, but let me know if you have any suggestions!

I wanted to capture the more mundane moments off-world party girls from the Fifth Element universe, hanging out in low grav, half ready, just texting the girls 💅
The look features the bandage body suit made iconic by Milla Jovovich as Leeloo, styled with a raglan puff sleeve cut-away top and hot pink windowpane striped socks.
I gave myself a little more leeway with worflow, and created the fit with 0 gravity CLO and rendered the scene in #dazstudio

Another experiment in 3D scene building and creating a sense of scale in CLO.
I was tempted to kick up some sand particles in After Effects, but I’m sticking to my CLO only workflow rule. With only so much free time to play it’s helpful to avoid the inevitable rabbit holes 🕳 🐇
(Though I did cheat a tiny bit to flatten out a runway in the sand dunes in Blender)

Another emissive materials experiment in a #CLO3D only workflow
I’ve been wanting to experiment with creating a sense of scale in CLO which it isn’t really designed for. It’s no C4D but she ain’t bad.
The scene is a true life scan of the Atacama Desert (shout out to the science 3D nerds out there making your models freely available 🤓🤘).
As always, no AI, no rectangle sleeve heads, all accurate pattern making 📐

CLO3D only fabrication experiments with Illuminated textures, a white on white speed-racer fantasy.
For this look I used VMOD clip-jacquard fabrics rendered in emissive material, and created a glitching pixel animation with the cheques by swapping out the texture images.
The animated texture is pretty lost or a phone screen, but I’ll definitely experiment with this method some more.
Emission isn’t as powerful on CLO as other 3D software, but still very-sci-fi-very-cool 😎
Exploring the possibilities of meta-textures in a #CLO3D only workflow 👾
Digital fabrication experiment II: Imagining the Cambrian Explosion, but couture (of course).
For this look I wanted to work with a mossy, lichen inspired meta-texture. After trying some PBR moss textures and scanned models of living samples, I preferred the unreal quality of these digital furs I customised from @VMOD presets.
The look itself is a laser cut asymmetrical mini dress with a gloved sleeve, masculine cut blazer, and rough gathered stocking. I always try to work with accurate pattern making and construction, but this one did require a tiny bit of 3D trickery to express elements of the mossy-fur.
I wanted to do a lot more with this, but I cannot spare the render time with this many layers of fur! Not worth the investment given the quality loss on social media. I'll make the next experiment less resource intensive!
