Song preference - I want crazy (Hunter Hayes)
A/N: Thank you for the prompt, I actually really enjoyed writing this one.
Yeah, our first date, girl, the seasons changed
It got washed away in a summer rain
The day was dark and washed out by the heavy rain that was crashing against the roof and windows. You were currently enjoying a rare relaxing day with Harry, curled up together on the couch watching Netflix. “Do you remember our first date?” Harry suddenly asked. You couldn't help but giggle as the question brought back the memories, “how could anyone forget a date like that Harry?” Your first date with Harry had started out so well, he had set up a beautiful picnic in the park, complete with flowers, a blanket and cushions. It was all perfect until the weather had decided to step in. Droplets started to fall softly but before you could do more than reach for the edges of the blanket to pack up it had turned into a full blown shower of summer rain. The two of you had rushed back to Harry's car, shoulders hunched in an attempt to protect yourself. But by the time you had made it, both of you were completely drenched and you were shivering from the cold. Harry, being a gentleman had of course made to offer you his jacket, which like everything else was drenched and dripping water. You were laughing in earnest now as each memory came back to you, “only you would plan a picnic in the middle of London at the start of summer' you said through giggles. “Hey” Harry said looking down at you with a frown, “I was trying to be romantic” he tried to defend himself. “It's alright, at least I know that you would always offer me your Jacket when I needed it” you joked. “Of course” Harry said letting himself join in your laughter, “besides I must have done something right, or you wouldn't still be here.” “You definitely did” you told him falling silent as he leant down to connect your lips in a gentle kiss, reminded you once again how glad you were you had agreed to a second date.
Yeah, I don't want easy, I want crazy
Are you with me baby? Let's be crazy
“Louis” you whispered tiredly down the phone, “No” Louis interrupted, “I know that tone of voice, and I know where your going with this. You're not breaking up with over the phone, while I'm half way across the world” he told you, voice caught somewhere between anger and desperation. “Louis you know I don't want to, you know I love you”you sighed. “Then don't Y/N” he interrupted again with a tone of finality. “Louis, tell me honestly that there aren't times when you wish things were easier?” You heard Louis sigh on the other end followed by a long silence before he spoke. “Sure Y/N, I'm not crazy of course I have times when I wish things were easier, I wish that we didn't have to spend so long apart and I wish I was able to kiss you whenever I wanted and take you on dates, but that doesn't mean that I want to break up with you. Do you want to know why?” he asked, barely waiting long enough to take a breath never lone let you answer before he continued, “Because I don't want easy, I want crazy. I love that we fly across the world to see each other and I love that we have dates in places we can't even understand the language and I love coming home knowing you'll be there.” You giggled softly, “that date in Italy really was one of the best, the waiter had no idea what we were trying to ask for.” “Exactly” Louis agreed his voice sounding lighter already, “why would we want easy when we can have crazy?” “I guess you're right” you agreed, with a smile. “So what do you say, are you with me baby, let's be crazy?” Louis asked hopefully. “I'm with you Lou, you are crazy and I love it” you laughed.
I'm booking myself a one-way flight
I gotta see the colour in your eyes
It felt like every time Niall left for tour it got harder and harder, the longer you were together the more you missed him by your side, missed having him there when you needed him. Unfortunately it was all to often that you had to go days without speaking to him, calls at the wrong time and timezones were constantly working against the two of you, but of course this meant that the time you did get to talk were even better, when they went right. “Hi babe, it's so good to finally see you!” you cried happily when Niall's face appeared on the computer screen. “Y/N?” Niall replied in a questioning tone and you could see his furrowed brow. “Yeh Ni, can you not see me?” you asked, checking to make sure that your camera was working. His frown deepened when he confirmed that he couldn't while you watched him also check his own computer. After both of you had confirmed that both your computers were by all noticeable means working fine you sighed, “I guess this conversation is going to be a little one sided then, I'm sorry Ni.” You watched as a frustrated Niall groaned and roughly rubbed at his eyes, “it's been so long since I've actually got to see you that I think I'm starting to forget what you even look like.” You grinned widely, glad he couldn't see you when you told him very seriously, “well I have recently died my hair a vivid shade of green so you are missing out,” though you ruined it at the end by finishing with a giggle. “Very funny Y/N” he told you making you smile even more when you watched his laugh light up his face. A short silence elapsed before Niall spoke again “That's it Y/N, I'm booking a ticket back home, I've gotta see the colour in your eyes.” You froze while taking in what he said, knowing by the look on his face that he was serious, “ Niall that's crazy you only have a few days off and its so far to come” you tried to tell him, but you could tell he had no intention of listening. “I don't care, I'm booking a flight tonight” he told you, a look of determination on his face.
I don't want just another hug and a kiss goodnight
Catchin' up calls and a date sometimes
“I miss you love” Liam sighed, his eyes lifting to meet yours through the skype chat that you were currently having. “I know, Li I miss you too” you told him sadly. A dull silence fell for a moment before it was broken by a sudden outburst from Liam “I fucking hate touring, and being away from you” he exclaimed making you cringe as you knew that the other boys were already asleep further back on the bus. “Babe, you love touring, I know it's hard but there's not long to go now and you'll be home for awhile.” you told him hoping that you could ease his mood even slightly. “For only a day or two probably” he murmured. “Li, if it's really bad at the moment, why don't I fly out to see you, I could probably manage a few days off from work.” Liam smiled briefly before it slipped away once more “I don't want just another hug and kiss goodnight while we're cramped on a tour bus and maybe a date sometimes.” Silence fell in the conversation before you spoke once more in a quiet, sad tone, “I'm sorry Li I don't what else I can do, it's hard for me to, but at least these calls are something.” Seeing that he had upset you Liam immediately jumped to try and fix the situation, “No babe, please don't think I don't enjoy our catch up calls, they're just not enough at the moment I wish I could have more than that.” “I wish that we could to Li, but hey you'll be back home putting up with my candles, my jokes and of course to be my own personal heater before you know it.” you said flashing him a huge grin. Liam laughed and suddenly the mood of the conversation lifted, “Maybe we should extend the tour a little” he joked.
