The catboy has been sitting very patiently while I take many portraits!!

I want to make it easier for others to get into game character models, especially Leon. You can find and download his in-game model, but it's hard to pose. What many do is go to smutbase and get his nude model, which is very easily posable. Two problems with that: it's NSFW, so even if you clothe him there's like 50 dong sliders, and when you do pose him, you're essentially changing his mesh. This is because the nude model makers have to wrap him to a different mesh and armature, so he inevitably looks different, especially when posed. We can tell when he's making a facial expression that doesn't look right, like those smeared smiles you always see where they just take the corners of the mouth and lift them. The poses ought to be authentic too! That's why I'm making this pose library. It's snapshots of many of his actual expressions in RE4. You can select parts of the face, like just the eyes or mouth, and blend between 65 different facial expressions. I have hand poses and body poses too!!

Adding in game animation snapshots of his facial expressions to his pose library! I like blending them together. It results in something new but since it's made from his actual expressions, it can look very natural!

Amazing how much using his actual animations makes him look like himself. Manually animating and posing him makes him look so different, especially in the face. I think I'm going to try other physics bones so he can actually move his hair. Then we can have a Leon Hair Toucher Simulator!!! I'll tie him up to the chair and everything lmao

The catboy's inventory is getting full!! I want to add many other outfits, but loading lots of meshes and textures makes Blender run slower. I already have to have a separate library for animations and props, so I think I'll add them to the library - the Catboy Closet!! We can have a proper dress up Leon game!

Yay got most of his Requiem outfit on!! He’s very pleased with himself because then he’ll have all three outfits and all six of his hairs! Not sure if I want to bother with his harness tho.

I mixed three animations here, one of a hand on hip idle loop, then his hair smoothing action, then a cute facial animation.

animations are just movements of individual bones of the armature. so with Actions and the NLA editor, it's easy to isolate and combine parts of different animations. I moved his gaze direction on top of a facial pose on top of a different body pose.

How patient Leon has been while I've sat him in blender dying and styling his hair, doing his makeup, and making him cry! Fitting him for his RE9 clothes has been especially stressful. He's earned many GBPs for enrichment time on the jet ski!!!
