Time to introduce to you the whole lore of Attention Spam :D
I finally finished to write some kind of summary and draw some illustration that goes with it, so I would like to share it here too !
"After obtaining the loaded disk, the player decides to keep the disk instead of taking it to Neo. The 2nd and 3rd chapter go as usual until the player make Kris confront Tenna. And when Tenna turns to Kris...."
"After Tenna get forced to eat the disk, he starts to shake and bend in pain as Kris leaves the scene. His head burns as a part of his code gets rewritten by his old business partner's one. And for a while, he would be left alone begging for help..."
"From that point, Chapter 3 continues as expected. Tenna gets back into his host role but seems more absent, dealing with the new rising pain. He tries to understand what Kris did to him and why. Sometimes Tenna avoids Kris intentionally...
As for symptoms, Tenna begins to have small glitches in his speech or even echos to how Spamton behaves. We would especially see it in Tenna's boss fight : new yet familliar attacks, bugs, the pattern feels random... The battle still ends the same way though, in the snow, broken.
In this timeline, Tenna gets saved and brought back to CatsleTown where he becomes far less present for his crew. With his codes being replaced bits by bits each second, he starts to suffer from frequent migrains, memory disfunction, mood swings, sleepwalking and more...
This degredation happens mainly after the player decides to keep Tenna in CastleTown in Chapter 4. While Kris and the gang is away, Tenna looses himself more and more....
"At some point, Tenna experiences a major crisis which marks the moment where his and Spamton's code are equaly sharing the body. His memories are wiped and his case breaks out of overheat, creating that hair like structure..."
"With no memory left, he re-invents himself, changing his looks, doing a total 180 degree on his confidence, determined to take over the spotlight. He brings back Tv Time with a more modern look and anchored in the internet culture !"
"To describe more what he became : AS's mind is divided between Tenna and Spamton, Spamton gets the logical part, takes the main decisions, builds plans, some of his taste depends on Spamton's and he keeps some of his fears and habits.
While Tenna gets the more emotional part, sometimes Tenna's feelings toward something or someone can be bigger than him and influence him in his decisions. His goals of being watched are even amplified, his fears of being abandonned are even worse and he keeps his host character.
From time to time, one side takes over the other and tries to make what he thinks is right. Though each side is not really aware that the other exist, when one wakes up the other goes to sleep.
So Ace, the fusion/balance between the two, would get often confused. He can't remember really what the other did while they were in charge of the body. So Ace would often question himself on who he is supposed to be."
"Though, both side have common goals : become big, have people watching him again, catch everyone's attention. And he's ready to do anything in order to succeed. More ads, more distraction shows, more fake promises... That's when he's given the name of Attention Spam by his haters.
As the days go, he would still feel all the previous symptoms, but less intense and frequent. Sometimes his habits bring him some memories back and he starts to understand what happened and who they were. The more he learns, the more Tenna's code gets rewritten.
Attention Spam will understand someday that he got uploaded into Tenna's consciouness and that his Spamton's side is gonna consume him entirely. So he tries his best to create a better communication between the two sides. (with sticky notes)
From that point, he would try to find a way to save Tenna, his dear business partner, from being permanently erased."
"One day, as he tries to keep the last little sparkles of Tenna's conciousness here, he succeed to make the perfect show. The audience has never been so present before, his crew was surprise with his perfect performance that reminded them of their previous boss.
Attention Spam waits and waits, he wishes to read Tenna's words one more time. But as he wakes up the next day after falling asleep out of exhaustion, he wakes up to Tenna's last words covering the walls (little doodle i came up with one day)."
"After Tenna's disappearence, Ace (short name for Attention Spam) would dedicate his life to pursue Tenna's work and assuring that TV Time never disappears, as it is one of the only things left from Tenna."
There we go ! This is the main thoughts I have about him :D
