Andrew Breitbart literally said that Donald Trump wasn’t a conservative back in 2011. Now his website spends all their time licking Trump’s boots and when I point out that Breitbart probably wouldn’t agree with that somebody loses their shit and says I’m just “invoking the name of the dead for my agenda”. Ok, sure. It’s not just like I have a functioning brain or anything.

The Truth About Online Gun Sales

The biggest mistake made by people who oppose anti-gun politicians, like President Obama, is thinking that they are stupid.

You don’t get to these positions by being stupid. President Obama is consistently praised for his speaking ability. He knows exactly what he’s saying and not saying. Instead of being more precise with his language and say ‘a violent felon can buy a gun he saw online in a face-to-face transaction with a private seller without a background check’, he deceptively leaves those key words out. Now, millions of people think a criminal can go online, Google ‘guns for sale’, find the gun they want, put in their credit card information, and two days later a box of guns just shows up at their front door - all without a background check.

This never happens. There is no place online where you can just buy a gun and it shows up on your doorstep without a background check. President Obama knows this. But he also knows when he says things like this it shocks the conscience of millions of people who don’t know any better. And it makes them think that a violent felon can buy guns the very same way I buy coca butter on Amazon Prime.

I think – no, I know – we forget. We get so caught up in all the good things Hillary probably won’t do – like campaign finance reform, like affordable colleges, like doing something about police brutality – and it gets very easy to feel like electing her won’t help anyone. But we forget about the bad things she won’t do. We forget that things can get not only better, but worse. We forget that the Republican platform has shrunk over the years to just a few things. Anti-welfare, anti-abortions, anti-tax reform, anti-immigration reform, pro-war instead of just not enough against it, pro-police brutality. Ayn Rand is popular reading over there. And they will all feel obligated to at least try to destroy Obamacare. They will get to choose FOUR Supreme Court justices, and if you didn’t like it when the Voting Rights Act was gutted, you’ll have a lot more of that to look forward to. With eight conservative justices, it will be easy to destroy this country. Things can get worse. We could all be Flint, with deregulation. We could all see our wages and benefits evaporate with anti-union legislation. Hillary Clinton might not improve things enough to make any of us happy. She might not improve things much at all. But she won’t send us careening off the cliff. If you’re still feeling torn, still thinking “both parties are corrupt, what difference does it make” – harken back to the 2000 elections, and understand that people felt the same way then. Everyone thought George W would be pretty harmless. Lots of us on the left decided to vote third-party. Without Nader voters, it would never have come down to fraud in Florida. So let’s not make the same mistake twice within my lifetime, okay?

One party believes everyone are people. One party believes that women, poc, and lgbtiaq people aren’t actually people. Remember that, no matter who wins the democratic nomination, we need to make sure they get into office, with a democratic majority in congress.

Curious. How many Conservatives you know? Because Social Conservatives don’t represent the whole party/movement.

Liberals tend to believe that people belong into tiny boxes where their gender, race, religion or sexual identity dictate their politics.

Conservatives believe that you brain is the one in charge of your political views. As a woman, Jewish, Naturalized Citizen and a conservative, I have received little to no problems from Conservatives. The people who tell me I have internalized sexism, or don’t understand my own views, or who tell me what my views are, are Democrats.

It boils down to: Conservatives believe that people solve their own problems with little to no help from the government. While liberals think that all problems should be solved by government.

If you really want to understand conservative principles instead of pretending to, talk to real conservatives respectfully, ask us about or views and stop treating us like some kind of pariahs.

Obama had a Democrat majority in congress when he got into office…and now we have a Republican majority. Funny how voters think isn’t it. That maybe the President and his party aren’t representing the best interest of the people?

Now, I would be happy to explain why I am a conservative and would never vote for a Democratic putz, all you have to do is message me and ask. I’m very nice, sarcastic, but nice.
