no coherent thoughts today. I have bigass thighs and any tights I wear for a long amount of time get worn out around them, so i think cosmo should get my issues too. bendy is sooooo mega normal about it (the thighs or the tights either way) -🪻
i love this so much
i'm a thigh-high socks cosmo truther but him wearing tights is also a big win in my book, i mean. they're along the same wavelength. and bendy is having the time of his life every time he sits down and those thighs double in size
however
as another person with big ass thighs i can't get the image out of my mind of cosmo in the summer having to put on antichafe or suffer the consequences every time he wears shorts lmao
anyway bendy is very normal about his boyfriends big ol thighs always why are you looking at him like that he's not drooling you're drooling
It's a work in progress since I got possessed by the AU again- hopefully I finish this one without procrastinating too much..
I shall now rant about some other ideas I came up with for this beautiful AU of yours.
Map/Floor
Bendy's special floor would be medium-large.
This is so that there's enough space for the players/toons to move around without encountering him 24/7 (unless they're unfortunate with him portalling behind them ofc).
There should also be a lore room (which is what I'm trying to draw here) that shows the original concepts of Bendy. Maybe there'll be a tape recorder that plays a clip of the discussion Arthur had with Delilah about Bendy being unstable.
Lore wise, Cosmo could accidentally stumble upon the room while running from the Ink demon. He then becomes so focused on the tape that he doesn't notice the Ink demon is still chasing him until it's growling in the doorway.
More Ink demon/Bendy ideas
1. Bendy does initially remember his time as the Ink demon until Dandy, Cosmo (and I forgot the other person you listed in the og post) help with finding his origins.
This leads to him having nightmares about being trapped in a body too big for him and unable to stay in control as the Ink demon targets his friends.
2. Remember when I said that, gameplay wise, when Bendy would turn into the Ink demon that the game's ai would take over as the player is forced to spectate? Yeah, that's happening lore wise too.
Bendy is constantly trying to fight off the Ink demon mentality as he feels this underlining feeling that he's incomplete. But whenever Bendy dies, he loses focus due to the pain and , in turn, loses against the Ink demon. This causes the Ink demon to take over as Bendy is forced into the back of its mind, unable to do anything as it attacks his friends in a desperate attempt to get something out of them to feel complete.
3. The longer Bendy is as the Ink demon (once he dies again), the more in tuned he is to the Ink demon's thoughts and feelings. This means he's slowly becoming the Ink demon instead of it being some other entity inside his body.
Other random ideas
Now this relates to the heart situation.
I believe that the more hearts a toon has, the more stable they are as a creation. So that means if a toon is unstable physically or mentally, they'll have less hearts.
Now I understand that may be confusing for the main toons. But think about it. Lore wise, the main toons feel an emotion so strong that it turns them into a twisted (Astro with his guilt, Shelly with her anger, Bobette with her stress, etc). This could be them being mentally unstable, therefore having less hearts with their stats and abilities trying to make up for it.
For lethals like Bendy or Dandy, this means they're unstable physically and mentally. For Bendy that's him not being made right and having to hold off the Ink demon. For Dandy that's him being angry if he doesn't get the tapes the toons collect and turning into his twisted self once he's pissed enough.
Hopefully that makes sense. Feel free to change anything ofc, I'm just the idea man after all lol
bendy was actually the third person who helped piece things together if i recall right. i liked the idea of him being blacked out while in his ink demon mode so he remembered nothing from over the years, but i like this angst
mayhaps the years began to blend together. when he was locked away, he had no way to come back, so eventually, he simply stopped. went dormant. his consciousness was basically sleeping until cosmo accidentally brought him back by force by making the pain suddenly subside
he was given an opportunity to come back for the first time in he had no idea how long, and he instinctively took it, but he had no clue what was happening when he came to
afterward though, he no longer is in that state, and so is aware of what the ink demon is doing - what HES doing
alsooooo i kinda want the ink demon to be bendy, yk what i mean? how, im not sure tbh, im kinda spitballing rn, but i like the idea that the ink demon is still him in the same way that dyle and dandy's twisted forms are still them. his is just more conscious vs subconscious
the ink demon is his base impulses. he was given base impulses when he was written as a demon - instinctively selfish, more animalistic than the others. traits given to him for laughs now are twisted as their pushed to the forefront and twisted by mindless and all consuming pain
i don't think bendy can become more of the ink demon bc he is the ink demon. maybe that side of him can come out more easily though, which causes stress, which makes it even easier - it's a vicious cycle he's starting to understand why he was locked away
and heart amount relating to instability is very smart!! especially since, if my understanding is correct, the mains were also made first. as the process was perfected, they gain more hearts and become more stable, and their twisted versions are less dangerous - however, this trade off came with them being less powerful themselves
which gives me the fun idea that maybe bendy has more cartoon physics - he moves much more like a rubberhose cartoon compared to the other toons who act like typical living creatures. they shot too close to the sun, but he can do things they can't bc of that (teleporting, small levels of shapeshifting, etc) he has more control over his body
and his trinket: i'm still at a loss tbh. so i'll leave this one in your capable hands (if you like) lmao
Also, I meant to say that he DIDN'T remember- idk how I missed that spelling mistake. Whoops.
BUT WHAT IF BENDY DISASSOCIATED BECAUSE OF THE PAIN?
It could still be his subconscious/instincts taking over but the part of his brain making him aware of what's going on essentially takes the backseat in an attempt at making his experience as the Ink demon less painful.
So when Cosmo heals him and stops the pain, that kickstarts Bendy's consciousness and makes him stop disassociating!
But since he's been healed by Cosmo, he can't disassociate anymore whenever he dies again. He doesn't want to disassociate — he fights back against it. So now he's just forced to watch himself succumb to those base instincts until he follows them willingly.
That makes it worse for whenever he's healed again. Because he's seen how easy it was to just fall into that mindset. How easy it was to BE the Ink demon. To be what Arthur created him to be. Because even though those instincts and traits were never meant to be malicious, but they became that anyways.
AND THE RUBBERHOSE/CARTOON PHYSICS IDEA-
Not only does it add additional reasoning for Bendy's active abilities (either the 2 passives or 2 actives route- still haven't solidified that but it's ok), but it also gives him more potential angst due to his differences with all the toons in Gardenview. That feeling of being out of place no matter how much you try to fit in.
IN ADDITION TO THAT, regarding the mute Bendy idea, instead of Bendy speaking through words he can instead make sound effects to communicate, leaning into the cartoonish side of him.
It's a work in progress since I got possessed by the AU again- hopefully I finish this one without procrastinating too much..
I shall now rant about some other ideas I came up with for this beautiful AU of yours.

Regarding that Bendy in DW AU you and Kye have cooking up, if we follow the mechanics already in the game, then Bendy being the same type of toon as Dandy and Dyle would explain why he has one heart, but that would also mean that, like Dandy and Dyle, he would also have 5 star stats across the board.
Yea, no idea why those two are like that, but apparently they do have em, despite being unplayable.
Building off of that, would it be interesting to raise the stakes to balance Bendys overpowered revival ability, by making him lethal/one hit to other toons while hes dead/twisted? like Dandy and Dyle?
i think i prefer @fand3mic-kye's idea just bc one: he's "playable" that way, unlike those two, and two: he's meant to be unstable. he was the very first, he's wonky, not quite right. he's not meant to have the ink demon form, and it's a result of him being in pain - unlike dandy and dyle who have control over it
dandy and dyle's are a result of power. bendy's is a result of pain.
What Alley said! And also because Dandy and Dyle are dev only toons. Devs (specifically Qwel) are the only ones able to play them (outside of roleplay mode), in addition to having access to the code to affect the gameplay.
In addition to that — in the AU — Bendy is able to join runs. Dandy and Dyle don't do that.
Dandy helps through selling items, but never actually works with the rest of the toons to extract machines.
We only see Dyle in the lobby or as a twisted during a run.
So from a gameplay standpoint, since Bendy is actually extracting machines with the rest of the toons, that would make him a character for everyone to play as, not just devs. Therefore, he would have to be more balanced.
But if we're talking LORE WISE then I got a possible explanation for why he's like that!
I just came up with this so bear with me-
As stated before, Bendy is an unstable toon. Unlike Dandy and Dyle, Bendy isn't in complete control over his body, nor does he understand what he does when he's the Ink demon.
Dandy, as a twisted, does understand his actions. He actively chooses to attack the toons if they anger him enough, AND puts up a facade in order to get the toons to buy from him again.
Dyle, as a twisted, also seems to be aware of where he is as his idle animation is him tapping his chin like he's pondering over something.
Long story short-
Because Bendy isn't stable and doesn't have a good handle over his twisted form, he doesn't get 5 stars in all of his stats. He's physically unable to be "perfect" like Dandy or Dyle are.
inkcake is infecting me in so fucked but anyway dw au where bendy is there but they know him as the ink demon. he was discovered when they started doing the runs, and he's sorta like twisted dandy where there's a chance he shows up and he's just Worse than the regular twisteds
eventually, in a bout of terrible luck, cosmo is cornered all alone by the ink demon, and knowing his life is on the line and having no idea what to do, panicks and uses his healing ability in a desperate attempt at- something. maybe it'll stun him or something. he's out of ideas.
to his shock, though, the ink demon immediately collapses, reverting into a toon much more like the rest of them - he's weak and just as confused as cosmo, but now he finds he can't in good conscience leave him, so he takes this demon (who introduces himself as bendy) and finishes the run
eventually, through bendy, dandy, and some old records, they get answers:
bendy was an early toon that never made it past the concept floor. there were concerns that people wouldn't like a demon character, so he wound up scrapped. however, he was a favorite of arthur's, so he was eventually chosen as the first toon to be created - the trial run
however, the first one never turns out as good as the rest. despite seeming fine at first, he was eventually deemed unstable because of one key factor: when he runs out of hearts, he turns into the ink demon, and mindlessly seeks out others to make them join him in his misery
he was a failure, but arthur didn't have the heart to allow him to be scrapped now that he was alive, so instead, he was trapped into the depths of gardenview to mindlessly prowl about
i'd say he's a bit of a troublemaker, but it's all in good fun, sort of in line with connie. he still enjoys performing, too, and his old toon influence is obvious - like, he's got a transatlantic accent maybe? maybe he could be mute too idk still up in the air
how does this relate to inkcake? well i wanted to draw them in dandy's world and had this idea and liked it. so. yeah :)
in any case i do still think cosmo is his favorite - after all, he's the one who saved him, and even aside from that the most tolerable of all the healers he HAS to rely on if he doesn't want to hurt anyone. imagine bendy fresh out of the cellar trailing after cosmo before he comes out of his shell again
Your idea possessed me. Now I gotta rant about it from a gameplay standpoint since I actually play Dandy's World.
I'll be going over hearts, stats, and possible abilities in the rant. So be prepared for paragraphs after paragraphs.
Hearts
Bendy would have 1 heart, compared to the 3 or 2 hearts a regular or main toon would have.
From a lore standpoint (the "runs out of hearts, immediately turns into the ink demon" part), the reason for having 1 heart now is because of his time stuck as the ink demon until the start of the AU.
From a gameplay standpoint, for Bendy players, that means that when they die they're forced to spectate in Bendy's pov as he moves around as the ink demon (basically gameplay ai takes over until a healer heals them).
Stats
We know that with the less hearts you have, the more abilities and/or stars in a stat you have (e.g. 3 hearts, 15 stars & 1 ability for regular toons — 2 hearts, 16 stars & 2 abilities for mains). Using that rule, that would mean that Bendy should have 3 abilities and 17 stars for his stat pool.
Dandy's World has 5 stats that stars can be put in. Those being skill check, movement speed, stamina, stealth, and extraction speed.
Let's start with the obvious. (These are out of order but bear with me)
Movement speed
Bendy is a fast toon with 4 star movement speed.
This is because it's clear in his og games and animated shorts on YouTube that he can be pretty fast, especially when running.
From a gameplay standpoint, this would allow players to outrun twisteds so they don't die.
Stealth
Bendy can be pretty stealthy, so he has 4 stars in stealth here.
The main reason is due to the scene below from BATDR.
Here, Bendy/the Ink demon is able to sneak up on Audrey pretty fast. And with audio, the only thing indicating that he's close is his growling and the suspense music. Meaning that, even with his hooves, he's able to move around without alerting anyone [although it can be argued that he's teleporting- I just believe he's messing around to make Audrey panic].
Gameplay wise, this would allow Bendy players to extract machines without having to worry about being seen from afar (except for twisted Brusha, she has a large vision range).
Stamina
Bendy has 3 star stamina.
Reasoning being that in the games, Bendy/the Ink demon is able to chase Henry/Audrey for as long as needed if they don't find a hiding spot. This indicates that he doesn't have to worry about feeling tired. HOWEVER, since we're talking about Bendy in the Dandy's World–verse, with his backstory for this AU, that adds another variable to consider. So, I argue that because he was unstable and made of ichor this time around, he only has enough stamina to carry him around (basically the base stat for regular toons).
Bendy will have 4 stars in the skill check stat.
Gameplay wise, this would make sure Bendy players have just enough stamina to run from twisteds.
Skill check
The reason for this one is because I align skill checks with intelligence. Just as Shelly is well versed in dinosaurs and has a big skill check stat, Bendy is also pretty clever in the og games as he's tricky and knows how to make people uneasy for his enjoyment.
Gameplay wise, this would allow players to use various trinkets to take advantage of Bendy's skill check size so that they're able to complete machines faster.
Extraction speed
With the stars left over, Bendy will have 2 star extraction speed.
The explanation for this lore wise is from both from the og games and this AU. Bendy is an unstable 3d creation, and extraction speed is essentially how fast you can turn a valve. With Bendy being unstable, it can be argued that he can't hold onto things all that well.
Gameplay wise, this would hopefully balance his stats out as players would either focus on his speed or his skill check when selecting trinkets.
Abilities
Now onto the abilities!
I couldn't decide whether Bendy should have 2 passives and 1 active (easier to play with, only one key bind for the active ability) or 1 passive and 2 actives (slightly harder to play with, two key binds for his different actives). Nonetheless, one of his passives and actives will stay the same no matter which set is chosen.
Passive 1
Bendy is able to be brought back from being a twisted if a healer toon tries to heal him.
This aligns story wise and also helps with the 1 heart situation gameplay wise. Although, it all depends on if there's a healer in the run.
Passive 2 (optional)
For every healer in the run, Bendy's two lowest stats get a 5% boost (e.g. extraction speed boost, and stamina regeneration boost).
This is mainly for au lore reasons (aka inkcake shipping) and angst. Since Bendy was a failed toon, there's the possibility he wants to be seen as useful and independent. So for every healer, he works hard on his weaknesses so that he doesn't look like he needs help.
Active 1
Bendy is able to go through walls with a cool down of 70 seconds at the cost of getting confusion tier 3 and slowness tier 2 (debuffs).
Lore wise, this would align with the idea that he's unstable, which could allow Bendy to more freely manipulate his body to do the things most solid toons can't do. This also follows his ability from the og games where he's able to travel through "ink portals" around the studio to get around faster.
Gameplay wise, this allows players to escape tight situations since Bendy only has 1 heart (e.g. solo runs, or being chased with nobody near to help). It's also great for just moving around.
Active 2 (optional)
Bendy is able to scare off twisteds for about 6 seconds, this ability has a cool down of 90 seconds.
Lore wise, this fits the idea of Bendy being able to manipulate his body because he's unstable. It also showcases some of his more "demonic"/twisted features and origin.
Gameplay wise, this can be used to protect himself and/or other toons if Bendy uses an air horn to get the twisteds line of sight on him.
ANYWAYS that's my rant. Please lmk how you feel and what you thinkkk😇
If you want me to also rant about trinket combos for Bendy and how his Ink demon form could work, lmk as welll. Thinking about this was a lot of fun ngl.
Here's the rant for Bendy trinket combos and Ink demon ideas. There's gonna be a question at the end for you because I want you to still have some input for your AU. There's also an additional idea for Bendy.
I'll start with the trinket combos. For this section, I'll quickly explain some roles that the fandom assigned to stats and trinkets for a better understanding of how gameplay could go and why it may happen.
Distractor: this role was made due to toons having high movement speed and/or stamina. Distracting allows other toons to complete machines without having to worry about the twisteds on the floor.
Extractor: this role is for toons with either large skill checks or fast extraction speed. Toons assigned to this category are seen as high in demand for runs as to get to high floors faster.
Supporter: this role is for toons that boost or help others. Think of healers or toons that boost a stat like Gourdy, Tisha, or Shelly. They're very useful for making it far in a run as they either make sure people stay alive or help with machines.
Survivalist: toons assigned to this role can do any of the three roles above. They're typically an all rounder either due to their stats or trinkets. They're easy to play as and can be helpful in long runs.
Now with that out of the way, onto the trinket combos.
Trinkets
Trinkets are either bought in the lobby by Dandy or unlocked through twisted research. The items are based on a toon's favorite thing and offer something to the player. I'll be listing the best combos as including every combo that could be used would waste time.
Veemote allows the player to fully complete a machine if less than half are finished on a floor. Magnifying glass gives extra completion on a machine for every gold band hit during a skill check at the cost of decreasing the skill check size.
For Bendy, this means he completes machines faster and gets more completion out of his skill check with mag.
Combo #2: Participation award (Shelly's trinket) + Magnifying glass
Participation award increases the chances of getting a skill check prompt at the cost of decreasing the skill check size (although less than mag). When paired with mag, that allows for multiple chances of large machine completion.
For Bendy, this takes advantage of his large skill check size and allows him to complete machines very fast for each gold band he hits.
Combo #3: Participation award + Stress ball (Squirms trinket)
Stress ball gives the player a 5% extraction speed boost per skill check they hit (including the grey band). When paired with mag, it increases the chances of getting a skill check and boosting the player's extraction speed.
For Bendy, this helps his lowest stat. And [in the scenario where he has 2 passive abilities] when paired with having a healer in the run (3 total healers, more if we're talking dupes in the actual game), it'll further increase his extraction speed and boost his skill check prompts at the same time.
Combo #4: Veemote + Stress ball
Same reasoning and situation as Veemote with mag, just a larger focus on Bendy's extraction speed.
Speedy shoes give a 5% movement speed boost while dog plush gives a 10% walk speed boost.
For Bendy, this would allow him to outwalk the majority of the twisteds and be able to distract them as long as nobody with a lower stealth than him gets in his way. This would be risky since he has 1 heart, but is still possible if need be.
Combo #2: Train whistle (Dyle's trinket) + Dog plush
Train whistle allows the player to avoid all speed debuffs.
For Bendy, using train whistle with dog plush to distract will help with dealing with Vee's twisted as she gives toons a speed debuff once she sees them (has a cool down, can be activated again if you're in constant line of sight). This will allow Bendy to outwalk twisteds and not have to worry about twisted Vee if she's on the floor.
I paired this combo because it's basically the same thing. Ribbon spool and Clown horn work the exact same way except for the fact that ribbon spool works on even numbered floors, while clown horn works on odd numbered floors. These two trinkets boost the players movement speed by 10% on their respective floors.
For Bendy, when paired with dog plush this makes him extremely fast which is great for distracting. But, it's best when there's a second distractor (called duo distracting) with the opposite trinket (e.g. Looey with clown horn and dog plush while Bendy has ribbon spool and dog plush).
For Bendy, this allows him to worry slightly less about his stealth when distracting/duo distracting, although it's best used in teams that have equal or higher stealth than him.
Supporter combos:
Combo #1/#2: Megaphone (Dandy's shop) + Ghost snakes in a can(Connie's trinket)/Sweet charm (Cosmo's trinket)
Megaphone grants the player an air horn (which decreases stealth) every other floor if they have an inventory slot open. Meanwhile, Ghost snakes in a can reduces a toon's cool down by 5 seconds and Sweet charm reduces it by 8%.
For Bendy, this would allow him to take twisteds off of other toons so that he can use his scare ability (in the scenario where he has 2 active abilities). Bendy could then use his wall ability to quickly escape the danger once his teammate is safe.
Savory charm essentially gives the player a second shot if they're killed. It gives them a brief moment of invincibility so that they can escape with their one heart in tact. However, it currently can only be used once per run. After it's used, it can't be used again.
For Bendy, this combo would put him as a sort of sacrifice. The air horn from the Megaphone would let him take away twisteds and the Savory charm would make sure he doesn't die if he happens to get hit. Lore wise, this might not make sense if he happens to be more selfish. HOWEVER, for shipping/angst reasons there may be a point in time where he decides that it's smarter if he takes the hit for a more "useful" teammate.
Survivalist combos:
Combo #1: Savory charm + Ghost snakes in a can/Sweet charm
For Bendy, this combo would be best for solo runs or in a worst case scenario. It prioritizes himself so that he's more useful in teams as an extractor. (This is for both cases where he either has 2 passives or 2 actives. This is the same for combo #2.)
Combo #2: Ghost snakes in a can + Sweet charm
For Bendy, this combo is still inherently selfish as it prioritizes his safety. However, in the case of 2 active abilities, it significantly decreases his scare ability which is, as stated before, great for saving teammates.
Gold coin gives the player a random 12% boost in any stat per floor but the old boost goes away at the start of a new floor.
For Bendy, this has the chance of increasing his stamina regeneration, his extraction speed, his movement, etc. All of which is good when paired with a trinket like mag or Veemote in the scenario where he has 2 passives & 1 active.
Cardboard armor protects the player from twisted ranged attacks like Goob's hugs, Scraps' tail sniper, or Gigi's item snatching. However, it can only be used once per floor.
For Bendy, this protects him from unseen and/or unavoidable attacks while the other trinket of choice will help him in some other way.
Ink Demon Ideas
Yes, ik- we still yapping after all that? Crazzyyy.. anyways-
Now onto the Ink demon ideas!
1. The ink demon is a lethal twisted
Reasoning for this is because he's the first toon ever created. Just like Dandy, he's able to transform back into his toon self (although with help) and overall, in his og game, he's pretty powerful so it'd make sense.
2. The Ink demon takes 2 hearts from a toon
Yes, ik this contradicts the first idea (context: lethals deal oneshots, aka insta kills) but HEAR ME OUT– In the og BATIM/BATDR games it's clear that he likes to play/mess around with his targets. So it makes sense that he'd only deal enough damage to make the toons extremely scared for their well-being.
3. The Ink demon is spawned through a random floor event and/or card + he gets a special floor
In the Dandy's World game, we're able to spawn twisted Dyle through the "Time's Up" challenge card so if Bendy is also a lethal, he should either spawn with a card as well or through a floor event that only happens after a certain amount of floors are reached. Gameplay wise, this would ensure that he's a surprise and seen as sudden and out of place in Gardenview further enhancing the scare factor.
4. The Ink demon gets boss music and is able to growl
No reason for this other than the fact that Dandy gets music once he becomes a twisted and Dyle gets an ominous ticking sound sooo. Let Bendy be dramatic with his music and growling.
5. The Ink demon is fast. Like- twisted Pebble kind of fast
Do I even need to explain the reasoning behind this?/lh/j I've stated it before, I'm sure we can put together the pieces.
6. The Ink demon can ALSO use ink portals
This would have a long cool down of like- 2 minutes because that power on a fast twisted is op and high-key unfair. Thankfully, for balance [and because it's the same in the og games] he can't use it while chasing people.
Now those are all the ideas I have so far. Onto the question I wanted to ask, plus that additional idea for Bendy.
Question: What would be Bendy's favorite thing? Essentially, what would be his trinket when 100% of his research is collected? I can come up with ideas on what it could do but I wanna also leave that up to you.
Idea: Not sure if you know this but some toons have an additional "ability" that's useful for them during floor events. For Bendy, this is him being immune to ichor puddles [a floor event where ichor drips from the ceiling. This causes the player to gain the Illness and slowness debuff which affect their skill check size and speed]. Some toons already have this ability, main example being Blot who is based on an ink blob. Since Bendy is technically made of the same substance, he should also be able to be immune to that floor event.
never shut up i may only know like 70% of what you're saying but this is the sort of response i dream of every time i post my bullshit
the ink demon ideas are all so coolllll and so's the idea that bendy is unaffected by the ichor spills is GENIUSSSSS OUGHHHH i shoulda thought a thatttt
i prefer the idea that he just knocks off all their hearts, since the image i have in mind of the dw ink demon is more that he's truly just. blacked out with pain. he's not supposed to be like that, and when he sees life, he tries to reach out only to accidentally kill them with his unchecked strength
as for bendy's favorite thinggggg... i honestly can't say i've developed him enough at this point to say?
i have a couple ideas but idk. i'll get back to you on that🫵
Aye- it's whatever you say goes, alright! It's your AU, I'm but a simple idea man.
Either way I'll be eating up any further posts about it because you've been indoctrinated me to your rareships and I'm but just a crew member on this inkcake ship.
inkcake is infecting me in so fucked but anyway dw au where bendy is there but they know him as the ink demon. he was discovered when they started doing the runs, and he's sorta like twisted dandy where there's a chance he shows up and he's just Worse than the regular twisteds
eventually, in a bout of terrible luck, cosmo is cornered all alone by the ink demon, and knowing his life is on the line and having no idea what to do, panicks and uses his healing ability in a desperate attempt at- something. maybe it'll stun him or something. he's out of ideas.
to his shock, though, the ink demon immediately collapses, reverting into a toon much more like the rest of them - he's weak and just as confused as cosmo, but now he finds he can't in good conscience leave him, so he takes this demon (who introduces himself as bendy) and finishes the run
eventually, through bendy, dandy, and some old records, they get answers:
bendy was an early toon that never made it past the concept floor. there were concerns that people wouldn't like a demon character, so he wound up scrapped. however, he was a favorite of arthur's, so he was eventually chosen as the first toon to be created - the trial run
however, the first one never turns out as good as the rest. despite seeming fine at first, he was eventually deemed unstable because of one key factor: when he runs out of hearts, he turns into the ink demon, and mindlessly seeks out others to make them join him in his misery
he was a failure, but arthur didn't have the heart to allow him to be scrapped now that he was alive, so instead, he was trapped into the depths of gardenview to mindlessly prowl about
i'd say he's a bit of a troublemaker, but it's all in good fun, sort of in line with connie. he still enjoys performing, too, and his old toon influence is obvious - like, he's got a transatlantic accent maybe? maybe he could be mute too idk still up in the air
how does this relate to inkcake? well i wanted to draw them in dandy's world and had this idea and liked it. so. yeah :)
in any case i do still think cosmo is his favorite - after all, he's the one who saved him, and even aside from that the most tolerable of all the healers he HAS to rely on if he doesn't want to hurt anyone. imagine bendy fresh out of the cellar trailing after cosmo before he comes out of his shell again
Since Bendy is technically made of the same substance, he should also be able to be immune to that floor event.
inkcake is infecting me in so fucked but anyway dw au where bendy is there but they know him as the ink demon. he was discovered when they started doing the runs, and he's sorta like twisted dandy where there's a chance he shows up and he's just Worse than the regular twisteds

Your idea possessed me. Now I gotta rant about it from a gameplay standpoint since I actually play Dandy's World.
I'll be going over hearts, stats, and possible abilities in the rant. So be prepared for paragraphs after paragraphs.
Bendy would have 1 heart, compared to the 3 or 2 hearts a regular or main toon would have.
Hearts
Gameplay wise, this would make sure Bendy players have just enough stamina to run from twisteds.
Skill check
Bendy will have 4 stars in the skill check stat.
Thinking about this was a lot of fun ngl.
hi so i'm getting closer and closer to introducing gardenview in my au and i want ideas for those i dont have my own ideas for
the way i set up gardenview is like this ^
everyone is technically under dandy, but dandy has made himself a sort of cabinet where they're his closest most trusted advisors and are trusted with a large share of his work
dandy researches and experiments to further medicine
sprout handles the actual health of people
shelly researches possible cures and other relevant information
dyle does imports and getting people to and from gardenview
vee takes care of the technology of gardenview
astro maintains gardenview as a pleasant place to live
underneath them are the heads: they have more of a normal level of "boss"
and underneath the heads are regular employees
these pins show the rank someone has (although this is sorta old and dandy's has since been changed to be the pin all the canon stars have)
these are all i have so far
so! does anyone have any concepts they'd like to share with the class :)
If you haven't already decided who would be the "head of staff", maybe assigning the toons that are considered rare twisteds could work?
For example — since Astro's chief of UpKeep, Glisten could be the head of UpKeep staff since he's all about being "perfect" and is focused on people's image and how he presents himself and therefore could coincidentally care how Gardenview looks.
I'm not sure how the other rares would work but yk, just an idea.
Well since I'm on the topic of Glisten being head of UpKeep-
I very vaguely remember you saying Cosmo was an unspoken second in command for Sprout so maybe Tisha (who is all about cleaning) could be an unspoken second in command for Glisten?
Like, she would still be head of cleaning but in terms of Upkeep in general– she would work closely with Glisten as a result of her work.
This is mainly from his dialogue with her
Although not a lot can be taken from this, when combined with Tisha's personality and tendencies (loving having things clean, caring about the well-being of others, knowing when to refuse to help those that won't appreciate it), I believe it would align well with Glisten (loves being seen as perfect -> therefore stays clean, loves being the center of attention & always tries to be included -> therefore helping whenever he can, etc)
While Tisha and Glisten might act kinda differently, seeing as they're not toons brought into the real world + the game's situation, that doesn't completely change them as a whole. The base of their personalities align well while similarly clash with certain aspects.

Alley- Alley- You can't just mention Cosmo x Bendy without elaborating Alley
ALLEY
ALLEY PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW NOW
ALLEYYYY
honestly it's mostly just born of the hc that bendy loves fat bitches and the thought that cosmo deserves more love ngl
it's really just one story in mind so. PICTURE THIS RIGHT
we're in some alternate reality where gardenview isn't completely separate from society. maybe it's even just some generic company rather than dandy being a full star, so while the feelings of the past inkpetals remain, it's not so wide scale. we're not dealing with the map either.
some people who work there are out at some bar celebrating something or other, and cosmo is one of them. he gets along with everyone, but he tends to blend into the background, never really gets special attention, not funny nor attractive enough to catch anyone's attention. so he doesn't believe it when people start insisting a guy at the bar is eyeing him.
to his shock tho, they're completely right! he looks and makes eye contact, and the guy doesn't even bother to pretend he hadn't been looking, instead just winking, and he is FLUSTERED
he doesn't know what to do, hesitant to believe the guy is even actually looking at him until he receives a drink and is told the demon at the bar sent it, and when he looks, the guy just lifts his glass with this smirk and cosmo is dying
(sprout is the most insistent he do something about it. he's totally looking at you, are you crazy? this guy is coming on so strong, there's no harm in enjoying a night with someone! c'mon, enjoy yourself, we're here to have fun - just message me tonight yeah?)
eventually either everyone leaves him alone for bendy to swoop in or he actually goes and talks to bendy himself, and bendy is flirting hard. i know that bastard knows how to be charming and suave, there's no way he'd have the body count he does otherwise, and cosmo has no idea what's happening until bendy is back at his place in his bed
to bendy's horror, though, in his excitement about finally getting a beautiful fat bitch for the first time in so long, he overdoes it and has an attack right there in the middle of everything :)
he wakes up the next morning with no memory of what happened after the attack absolutely mortified, especially since cosmo isn't in the bed now. he's convinced that cosmo is pissed because he slept on the couch in his own damn house because bendy went and soaked his sheets with his ink, in the middle of a one night stand of all things. he's expecting a harsh greeting, if any at all
what he isn't expecting is a big, tasty breakfast laid out for him and not so much as a whiff of annoyance from cosmo
he's so floored that he ends up straight up asking why cosmo isn't mad, to which cosmo is horrified why he'd even ask that. he'd never be upset about him having an episode! he can't help being sick. cosmo only wishes he could've done more to help.
bendy is still embarrassed - he hates people knowing he has the blot if he can help it. they start treating him differently. but cosmo... isn't doing that. and he's cute, and last night was so fun, and his cooking is amazing, and he's actually really nice to talk to even when bendy isn't trying to get into his pants...
for the first time in he doesn't even know how long, when he's asked for a date, he means it when he agrees
Sooooo... situationship between Sprout and Bendy is like between Stolas and Blitz from Helluva Boss? (I don't watch the series as much, but I watched the LOOK MY WAY video and it reminded me of those two)
uhhhh sorta? in some ways
blitzo and and stolas are a WHOLE OTHER can of worms bro. classism and social standing plays a major part in their dynamic and there's a major power imbalance with blitzo needing the book for his business and stolas essentially making him exchange sex for it but it's not a bad comparison otherwise
Wasn't expecting a Helluva Boss mention today but ykw? I kinda understand where anon is coming from.
Although one could argue that Sprout has some "authority"/a higher social standing over Bendy due to Sprout being a main in Gardenview and also a healer, which would be why Sprout feels comfortable fussing over people and having a little bit of an attitude when someone puts themselves in danger. In addition to Bendy being a demon, and therefore typically looked down on and even a victim of segregation (as seen in the motm post when Bendy answers an ask saying that demons and celestials don't interact- I'll get the evidence later or something)
okay chat, the bendy x sprout ship name is really bugging me
so! i'm gonna leave what i use up to a poll
what's the best ship name for the bendy x sprout tag?
strawbendy
inkberry
fruityink
bendysprout
other idea (offer in comments)
Voting ended onApr 14
i'm gonna put the reasons why i'm struggling under the cut since i kinda just want public opinion but also everyone should weigh the odds i do /j
but PLEASEEE IM DYING OVER HERE I JUST NEED OTHER PEOPLE TO CHOSE FOR ME
- strawbendy is sometimes used by bendystraw shippers and i (personally) don't really like bendystraw but that's my fav of the puns
- inkberry is apparently a ship name already used before and i don't want such a small ship lost in the weeds
- fruityink is solid, i just like the other ones more but struggle to get past their issues
- bendysprout is a classic format but it's also. kinda a boring one lmao (not to mention uncommon in this community)
- blackberry was actually another one i considered, but i fear that the tag may have. actual blackberries lmao. although that never stopped me with herbaltea i suppose
The final results are in and by an unlikely swarm, INKBERRY WINS THE POLL!!
No, but it's actually really funny because that option was the lowest for a good few hours and suddenly gained so much traction. Talk about being an underdog.
I'm so glad I sent in that anonymous ask (ik I can't prove it, but you gotta believe me when I say that I didn't expect it to be answered). Now there's a mini army low-key considering the ship Bendy x Sprout.
