Day 6: Pick Up Lines
@mandapandabug20 made A LIST with (fantastic) horrible pick up lines Kakashi would use on Iruka and this orphan one was so bad (aka brilliant) it spoke to my heart
You see, Perry the Platypus, when Vanessa was a little girl, she wanted to take estrogen. Of course, I said yes. And since then she’s always been my little girl. Well recently, Vanessa’s school deadnamed her on her reports! Can you believe that!? I mean we live in a fairly progressive area and—hey, isn’t that not allowed in public schools??
Anyway, that’s when I got the idea for THIS! The deadname-eraser-inator! That way, not only will Vanessa no longer be deadnamed, but EVERY OTHER TRANS PERSON IN THE TRI! STATE! AREA!
Perry spends this episode fixing the wall he put a hole through on the way in
i snuck in & took part in the @kakairu-discord-server ‘s winter event 👀
got to do this for @imagin-artist-beastlover who asked for ghosties & supernatural themes ! 😋💛👻
Merry Christmas y’all
Stay safe and stay warm!
I don't know if this makes sense but Tim was Bruce’s therapy child in the more traditional sense; the kid that was there for emotional support and didn't mind being yelled at or hurt because he was there to fix Batman, and Bruce was eventually dragged out of the grave he was digging for himself because of it. But Tim was Dick's therapy kid in a different sense; Dick dragged himself out of his rut for Tim, not just because of him. Dick got better because he wanted to be a hero Tim would be proud of, would be proud to call his brother, but Bruce got better because of Tim’s continous pushing and forcing him to become better. The difference is miniscule but so so important to distinguish them and why Tim considered Dick his brother far before he considered Bruce his father, even excluding the pre-existing hero-worship and stalker tendencies Tim had (has) wherever Dick was concerned. Dick refused to let himself rely on Tim any more than Tim forced him to while Bruce didn't.

WHAT IF THERE ARE PUPPIES AT THE INUZUKAS HOUSE NAMED SHINO AND HINATA
Why you should watch Scooby-Doo: Mystery Inc. (2010)
The Mystery Gang are all actually friends and hang out together at each other’s houses and make jokes and act like real teenagers
We also see their families for the first time and they’re all great. Daphne has a huge house and 4 sisters, Shaggy is weirdly rich as well, Fred lives in a McMansion with the mayor (adoptive father), and Velma’s parents run a museum dedicated to the Gang’s solved mysteries (all of which are references to the 1969 series)
Scooby beats up a robot dog with a forklift and quotes Alien
There’s a very Twin Peaks-esque episode in the second season, complete with the red stripy room
One of my favorite episodes has a parody of Andy Warhol and the Velvet Underground
The art style is GREAT
The Hex Girls are, like, friends with the Gang and help them out sometimes
(They’re also very hot please step on me)
In the 2nd season, the monsters are real more and more often, and also magic is very much real, which has a whole host of implications for the world
Lewis Black, the comedian (aka Anger from Inside Out) plays a character named Mr. E who acts as a Cigarette Smoking Man-type instigator of mystery
The writers got reallllly close to having Velma and Marcie (aka Hot Dog Water, on account of her wool sweaters) be a couple. They’re not in the final show, but they’re still v queercoded. Marcie also spends some offscreen time in prison.
Every character gets the chance to show their smarts. The Gang is decently knowledgeable in true crime, chemistry, and trap-building (Fred) and it shows
Fred is obsessed with building traps to the point that his house is filled with them. Autistic king
Fred and Daphne have a healthy relationship that ebbs and flows and they work through it in a realistic way
Velma and Shaggy also have a realistic breakup and accept that they’re better off as friends. The romantic relationships in this show are great, y’all
Scooby gets a girlfriend, but it’s not forced because she’s actually an alien who gives an exposition dump
Oh yeah there’s aliens too
In one episode it’s revealed that every generation has a group of four people with an animal mascot, and the Scooby Gang are just one part of a repeating cycle
There is actual death (mostly offscreen)
And, last but not least:
Shaggy’s favorite music genre is polka
High key, REALLY loved this rendition of Scooby Doo! – bonus points for them having fucking CASEY KASEM (the 1969 Shaggy) as Shaggy (Matthew Lillard)’s dad. I was making breakfast with it on in the background, and came RUNNING around the corner when I heard his voice, and I almost cried.
…Look, this was like two years after Kasem died, and I miss him, okay? Lillard is a fucking great Shaggy!
[id: a grayscale digital comic in 3 panels, featuring katara and zuko as adults. the top panel shows a hand holding a palm-sized framed portrait of katara. in the middle, a close-up of zuko’s scarred left eye is shown. in the bottom panel, a close-up of the lower half of zuko’s face, with a focus on his mouth. the dialogue is outlined in the post caption.]
“Fire Lord Zuko, this just arrived from the Southern Water Tribe.”
“What do you think, my Lord?”
“She’s incredible.”
a belated @zutaramonth day 24: arranged marriage, inspired by historic court traditions where portraits would be commissioned before a betrothed couple met
