i fear i am indeed one of those people who thinks pope would be a grade a stalker. by that i mean; he steals things (hoodies, underwear), he claims it’s simply coincidence, that you forgot your hoodie in his car. he hopes you ignore that it smells like him.

he’d never admit what he’s taken from you; but you’d find it shoved in the back of his dresser or wardrobe. things that had gone missing long ago now found, under his pillow or in a box in the vent above his bed.

but it doesn’t stop there.

no, he follows.

quietly. carefully. always at a distance that feels respectable enough to justify. he learns your routines faster than you realise you have them. when you leave. when you come back. where you’re meant to be, and for how long. pope likes knowing where things belong. it calms him.

he doesn’t enjoy his property being disrespected or misplaced.

so when people linger too close, touch too freely, interfere—he fixes it. removes the problem. he tells himself it isn’t personal. it’s preventative. he sleeps fine afterward because the world makes more sense once order is restored.

that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get angry.

he does.

especially when you’re not where you’re supposed to be.

sometimes it’s small. his jaw tightens, his voice goes flat, he asks questions he already knows the answers to. other times, it’s worse. the spiral comes fast then, thoughts looping, rules collapsing. you weren’t meant to be there. that wasn’t the plan. that wasn’t safe.

so he intervenes.

you wake up slow, heavy, fogged. the first thing you notice is the quiet. the second is the smell—clean sheets, familiar detergent, pope. you’re in your own bed. laid out carefully. shoes gone. jacket folded on the chair. tucked in like you never left.

pope sits nearby sometimes. sometimes he doesn’t. but there’s always evidence he’s been there: a glass of water on the nightstand. your phone plugged in. the door locked the way he prefers.

when you ask, later, he looks genuinely hurt.

“you were exhausted,” he says. “you scared me.”

he never says how he found you. never mentions the needle, the pressure at your neck, the way the world blinked out mid-step. he talks like he did you a favour. like this was kindness.

and the worst part, the part that makes it impossible to fully hate him, is that nothing is missing.

everything is exactly where it’s supposed to be.

including you.

I think some ppl are forgetting she was written to be unlikeable. I love her character. love the way it's written, love the way it's being portrayed. it's delicious. so refreshing. as a person, I could not stand her ever. and thats ok <33

not to sound like a poop butt but the fact that the American elections happened before the Canadian ones had the singular smallest benefit in that seeing the Trump admin (which is similar to the Conservative admin here) tear the country apart meant Canadians here genuinely woke up and were like hey so what the fuck !
