If you would like something hideously wonderfully adorable, head over here. And when I say hideously I mean absolutely fantastic. It is sweet but not mushy, witty and fun, so fluffy without ever being too fluffy, you'll basically just read it while smiling maniacally. It's great. And Elena and Gwaine is something I do not read enough of, but whenever I do I think "yes. perfect." Also Giselleslash is one of the best Merlin fanfic writers out there, if you are new or have yet to discover them, READ EVERYTHING EVER WRITTEN BY GISELESLASH. That is all.

I have never come across anything that captures so accurately the addiction of writing freely and having words flow from you. Merlin's frantic bouts and constant struggle with finding words is so beautifully portrayed, that as someone who has had tiny tastes of that but not fully experienced it yet - well it was lovely to read, to say the least.

But the writing isn't even the most of it. The authors' fluid transitions between Arthur and Merlin's point of views were perfect, effortlessly providing that satisfying insight to both minds. Satisfying too, because of the characterisations that were exquisitely, deftly done.

I really can't express how much I enjoyed this story, how stand-alone brilliant it is. It really is one of those fanfictions you come across that could be a novel, in terms of originality and quality. I'm not sure how I haven't stumbled upon it before - all I can think is maybe I have and was put off by the 52k word count. Don't be. Especially if you have aspirations to be a writer, or have had a taste of that life and want in. This is a fantastic window, and it comes via the well-known and much loved Arthur and Merlin. I recommend it. Immensely.

This is a seriously lovely coffee shop AU, with wit and banter and awesome get-together theme. Much love here. Includes knowing-friends and coffee-shop-you-want-to-exist-so-you-can-spend-all-your-time-there.

Writing like woah. This is seriously brilliant wit and humour, a narrative style that is addictive and delicious, and a university fic to boot. Merlin characterisation is epic, Arthur is perfect, the writing deargahd it is fantastic did I mention that? A++

I quite like this. Yes this is very good. Fluffy and wonderful, right amount of snark. I don't normally like fluffy things but the coffee shop trope is one I find difficult to resist. And this has that in spades.

This is in my top 5 merlin fanfics. Not sure what the other four are, but this is definitely in there. Beautiful beautiful fic, hefty plot, delicious dynamics. Footloose wins all the awards.

You will cry serious tears. Writing is brilliant, Mad_Lori you are incredible, not kidding about the tears.
