If there was someone who didn't take any kind of misdeeds kindly, it was Severus Snape. Which you of course had known, but still you had gotten yourself in trouble. Now you were in his office, standing in front of him while a undeniably threatening paddle hovered in the air, ready to teach you a lesson upon a wave of his wand.

“Bend over, hands on the desk”, Snape instructed calmly, which by some reason was even worse than if he would have shown emotion.

You swallowed hard, your heart racing. This was not going to be fun. But disobeying him would only make things tenfold worse, so you did as asked despite being weak from fear.

When you felt him gathering your robes up with a spell, you couldn’t help but whimper. Your breath had become laboured, and you squeezed your eyes shut, trying to brace yourself for what was to come.

“This scared already, and I haven’t even done anything yet”, Snape said softly. “Good. Maybe this’ll motivate you to shape up.”

A sob left your lips, your body tense. Which of course didn’t go unnoticed by him.

“If I was you, I’d try to relax. You’re only making it hurt more like that.”

You didn’t answer, only squeezed your eyes shut more tightly. You felt dizzy, your tummy in knots. How could he expect you to relax? In a situation like this?! There was a moment of silence, before:

“Well, then”, he said in such a normal tone it made your chest turn cold.

And then the first strike landed, making you flinch and cry out in shock. Snape hadn’t used that much force, it merely stung at contact and left a bit of ache behind, but that was bad enough. It still hurt! He watched you in silence, waited to make you ride out the aftereffect before delivering another smack. A firmer one this time. You let out a startled whine, followed by quiet, pained gasps. There was a distinct ache at your bottom now, an ache that seemed to get worse by every passing moment. You couldn’t help but squirm, fighting the urge to clutch your butt. Your hands clenched into fists and you bit your lip, trying to be quiet.

When the paddle landed on your bottom for the third time, you couldn’t deal with it anymore and broke down in tears. The previous strikes had turned your rear tender, and this one only added to that. Your skin was burning, and underneath the ache had turned deeper, throbbing. You wanted to beg him to stop, but knowing him, that’d be a terrible idea, so you said nothing. You just stood there, shaking and shifting in your place as subtly as you could, with tears rolling down your cheeks, and trying (and failing) to suppress your sobs. But to your surprise, no more swats came. Instead, Snape let your robes fall back down, and sent the paddle back to its place.

“Turn around”, he said quietly.

You had to take a moment to gather yourself before straightening and facing him. He studied you quietly, the tear-streaked cheeks, the eyes that avoided his. You had wrapped your arms around yourself in a protective manner, as a helpless attempt of self-soothing. Overreacting, in Snape’s opinion, but he was satisfied.

“I trust the point has been made”, he said.

Then, with a small motion of his wand, a cool sensation, like having a cold pack pressed against your bottom, spread through the seat of your robes, and eased the worst of the burning ache. You whimpered, partly out of relief, and partly out of overwhelm of what you had just experienced. Snape, on the other hand, remained as controlled as ever, and calmly advised:

“See that it was worth the trouble.”

You didn’t even nod, only let out a little sound as a response, but with that, the issue was settled. The message had clearly been received.

It was the first day of the semester and it was pouring rain. Just like everyone else, you were soaked and shivery when you finally got to the Great Hall. Thankfully it at least was warm inside. You scrambled to your House table among the other students and slumped on a free chair. Your breathing was labored and your head felt heavy. You weren’t just wet. You had gotten ill. What a start for the year!

When your friend joined you at the table, you barely reacted. You were feeling way too awful. Really you would have wanted to be in bed, not sitting there in the crowded room. Your friend could tell you weren’t well, and of course got worried. 

“Hey, what is it, what’s wrong?” She tried to ask, but you only gave a gesture between shrugging and shaking your head. You didn’t have the energy for this, not now. 

Even more worried, your friend looked towards the High Table where the staff was sitting, and caught the gaze of professor Flitwick who had also noticed something was off. As the head of your house, he decided to come and check, and scurried over to your table with his short legs.

Instead of addressing you formally, he quietly called out your first name. You felt his small hand on your back and could barely hold back the tears as you turned to look at him. What you met was steady eyes and a compassionate expression.

“How are you doing?” Flitwick asked.

“I… I’m not feeling too well”, you managed to get out.

“Yes, I can see that. Well, worry not. I’ll go get some Pepperup Potion from Madam Pomfrey. That should help.”

You sniffled and nodded faintly, and so Flitwick was on his way. Your friend leaned in and hugged you, trying to comfort you, but it wasn’t quite enough. Your head was pounding, all the people and the chatter around you certainly didn’t help the matter. You leaned your head in your hands, trying to fight off the nausea. You had been tired in the train but now you were sure you had gotten a fever, probably from all that rain. You let your eyes full shut for a moment, but it only made you feel more ill.

Approaching footsteps reached your consciousness, and at first you assumed it was Flitwick returning, but the steps sounded different than his and besides, were coming from the wrong direction. You didn’t bother to look up, but you did sense someone stopping by your side and getting down on one knee to be closer to your level. 

“Hey”, a quiet voice said next to you. 

Snape.

Confusion flickered through your blurry mind when you realized that it really was the Potions’ Master himself kneeling beside you, and not just a feverish dream of yours.

“Professor Flitwick will be back soon”, said Snape, who apparently had either heard or guessed the content of the previous conversation. “Just hold on, you’ll be alright.”

You mumbled something unclear and tried to blink your tears away, but with little success. You felt so miserable! Snape sighed, and to your even greater surprise, started to slowly stroke your back.

“You’re okay, girl”, he murmured half-reluctantly, “You’re okay…”

You sniffled again, but it would have been a lie to claim you didn’t feel a little bit better. And after a moment that felt like forever but hardly had been more than a few minutes, Flitwick was back with a smoky goblet of… something.

“Here we are”, he squeaked and handed the goblet to you.

You turned to take it, wiped your eyes, and gave it a suspicious look before drinking. The liquid burned on its way down and made you wince, but it didn’t take long before it took effect, and you felt your energy coming back.

“Better?” Asked Flitwick more briskly after noticing the change in your demeanor.

You nodded and then smiled. “Yeah. Thank you.”

“Well, then”, muttered Snape who seemed to have been waiting to confirm that the problem had been resolved, got up and went back to the High Table. Flitwick made the goblet disappear with a wave of a wand, smiled, and then followed Snape to the other teachers.

“Wow!” Was the first thing your friend said when both men were out of hearing range. “Since when has Snape cared about other students than his own?!”

“Don’t ask me”, you said, just as puzzled as she was now that your head was clear again, and you could process what had happened. Snape wasn't exactly known for his kindness, and yet he had came to reassure you while waiting for Flitwick to come back.

“Unbeliavable”, your friend marveled out loud. “Wonder what has gotten into him!”

“Oh, don’t worry. I’m sure he’s back to normal by our Potions class”, you huffed and made both of you laugh. 

But secretly you were more than pleased to see that Snape did care, even if he hardly ever showed it in any way.

I'm glad you like my writing and that you want to share your ideas, but I just can't write like that. I need to feel what I'm writing, I need to have the story in my mind already (at least to a degree, of course the story lives as it goes on but anyway) or else nothing's gonna come out of it

Pairing: Ezra x female reader

It was evening and you were going through your landing pod, just to make sure everything was in order for tomorrow’s run when you heard noises from the airlock. Someone was coming in! Your heart jumped to your throat, and you were quick to seek for your gun. It was at the last moment you raised it, because just then someone opened the cabin door and scrambled in. 

“Hey!” You warned, but the gun was shaking in your hands. You had known something like this could happen, in theory. But in practice, it was a whole other thing.

Despite your not-so-convincing attempt to scare him off, the man stopped in his tracks, and raised his hands.

“Whoa, easy there!”

Your aim didn’t falter, even if your heart was beating so fast it hurt.

“Get- get out before I shoot!” You threatened, but you were stumbling over your own words.

As a response, the man softened his tone a notch. 

“Now, hold on. Let’s not make this a tragedy, hmm? I’m just a man looking for shelter, that’s all.”

You said nothing, but there was distrust in your eyes. You might have been young, but you weren’t stupid. And trusting a stranger not to hurt you in a place like this would have been just that. Stupid. 

But still, you didn’t shoot. And he didn’t move. Instead, he kept speaking.

“Alright. I get it. I would be pointing that at me too, if I were you. And you’re right to be careful. There’s a lot of bad folks out there.”

You swallowed, but remained quiet. 

“Look. I’m not here to rob you or anythin’. Just… if you’ve got even a corner for me to catch my breath, I’d be mighty grateful.”

When there still was no response from you, he took a step closer, to get out of the awkward position he had been in at the door. You flinched at the movement, and gripped your gun more tightly.

“Hey, hey, easy. It’s okay”, the man soothed and slowly sat down on the floor. “I’m Ezra, by the way.”

You just stood there with the gun aimed at him, your breaths shallow and uneven.

“Okay, you’re not talking. That’s fine.”

There was a pause, but then he spoke again.

“Look, here’s the thing. My pod’s dead. There was… an incident and now that thing ain’t going nowhere. I’ve been walkin’ hours through that damn forest out there and this place was the first thing I saw that looked even remotely habitable.” He paused for a moment before adding: “Didn’t expect anyone to be in here.”

You bit your lip, but you did listen. If he was alone and without a pod, he would die. And it didn’t feel right. It really didn’t. But even then, you kept your mouth shut and gun raised.

Silence stretched between you, neither of you making a move, but then Ezra looked up at you with steady eyes, and when he spoke, there was no demand in his voice: “So... What’s it gonna be, birdie? Are you gonna shoot me or let me stay for a bit?”

You just stared at him for a long moment before, despite knowing it wasn’t a good idea, you lowered your gun. Your arms had started to ache from holding it up for so long, and besides, he hadn’t made a single move to harm you the whole time. Plus you still had the gun, you could be ready to shoot in a second if you’d need to.

When he was no longer looking down the barrel, Ezra relaxed, but didn’t try to get up. He was quite sure he would be able to get the gun from you, but decided to play it safe and keep talking.

“Not a killer then, are you?”

You shook your head.

“No. I figured.” Pause. “But there’s plenty of people out there who are. It ain't wise for someone like you to be alone.”

“I can manage just fine”, you finally spoke up, defensive. But your voice was shaking just like your hand had earlier.

“Mhm. And what were you thinking you’d do, if a bunch of mercs came knocking? Appeal to their sympathies? I wouldn't bother if I was you. They have none.”

Your expression grew harder, and you gripped your gun more tightly once again. He noticed, but his gaze never left your eyes. Instead, he kept talking in the same serious but calm tone.

“How were you planning to take care of your gems, anyway? You’re all by yourself. You’re an easy target.”

You gritted your teeth, but said nothing. Then he decided to test the waters.

“I could help you. Two pairs of eyes see better than one.”

“And why should I trust you?” You questioned, your knuckles glowing white around the grip. But that wasn’t anymore because you’d be scared of him. It was because you had realized you wanted to trust him. You really did.

“I’ve been sitting here for a while, doing nothing, haven’t I?”

"Doesn't mean you couldn’t do something later.”

“No. But If I would have wanted to, I could have hurt you a long time ago. Why would I have waited, kept talking?”

“I don’t know”, you mumbled.

“See?” Ezra smiled just a bit, and then said: “I don’t have a vessel. You don’t have a partner. We can help each other out. That sound like a deal to you?”

You fell back into silence. Truth to be told, he was right. It would be safer for you to have a partner, and he would die down here with no pod. You could help each other. It'd be a good deal. But what would stop him from taking it all from you and leaving you behind afterwards? He said it himself, people down here have no sympathy.

Your gaze wandered over Ezra’s features, thoughtful. He had been sitting still the whole time, but when he shifted, you noticed how he winced in pain. Just slightly, but still. He noticed your gaze sharpening, and offered a smile to mask any discomfort.

You didn’t buy it.

“You’re hurt.”

“Just a bit banged up. I’ll live.”

You gave him a long look, and then shook your head. There was his reason to not hurt you, then, to talk to you instead. He was injured and he didn't want any more trouble if he just could avoid it.

“Let me see.”

Reluctantly he started to open his space suit and push it down to his waist. Then he pulled up his shirt, revealing a blue mark on his side. His expression seemed to say see, it’s nothing. But for some reason it made your heart clench. Despite yourself, you moved closer, and brushed the skin near the mark.

“Just a little bruise, that’s all”, Ezra said, but at that moment he knew he had won. You were no longer on defence, you had let him in. “No broken bones or anything.”

You kept your gaze down. His skin was warm under your fingers, and suddenly your chest felt tight. You slowly pulled your hand away, and he let his shirt fall back down. But you didn’t move. You didn’t want to. You swallowed, and shifted in your place before searching his eyes. When he did nothing but looked back with that steady gaze of his, you reached out to run your fingers over his cheek, careful and hesitant.

“Hey”, Ezra said softly. “I’m alright.”

“Yeah, okay, I just…”, you began, but let your voice trail off when he took your hand in his.

“I’m alright. Everything’s alright.”

It didn’t sound like a rejection, not even when he guided your hand down and let go of it. For a moment you just crouched there, feeling something you couldn’t name. Ezra was sitting on the floor, calm as ever, but you were wound up. More than you’d like to admit. You had been alone for a time that felt like eternity, and now there was this man. Right in front of you. Warm. Breathing. Alive. A man your instincts were both telling you to run from, and to hold on to.

Suddenly you just couldn’t take it any longer, the tension had grown too high, and so you scrambled in his lap. There was desperation in it, the way you pressed close, how your breaths grew ragged and hands shaky. Your sudden movement had caught Ezra off guard, but he adapted quickly, like he always did. His arms came around you, and his voice was soft and low in your ear.

“Alright. Alright, I’ve got you… Just breathe.”

A whimper escaped from your lips as you were squirming to feel him better against your body. 

“Shh…” He hushed, and then adjusted a bit to be able to look at you. It had became very clear to him what was happening in here, but he hesitated. This scared girl, she was just seeking safety. He hadn’t meant this to happen, he just needed to stay alive to see another sunrise.

But then your lips parted, your gaze flickering between his eyes and lips, and before you knew, he leaned in slowly and caught your lips in a tender kiss. Your body was buzzing, and your heart was trying to beat its way out of your chest, but he was ever so careful. You though, you were fumbling your way through it like you needed him to breathe.

“Ezra…”, you whispered against his lips.

“I know”, came his soft reply, and then he kissed you again, a bit more firmly.

The kiss turned hungry, your tongue seeking his while your hands were grabbing his clothes. When he pulled away, he was met by quite a sight: your lips were red and swollen, your eyes full of fearful, desperate need. And despite his own racing heart, he had to pause.

“Are you sure of this?” He asked quietly.

“Uh-huh”, you mumbled, trying to reach for him, to reach for more. “Please…”

Ezra looked at you before slowly moving to trap you between the floor and his body. The change of position sent a surge of heath through you and made you whimper, but somehow still cut off the worst edge of your need.

“Listen to me, birdie”, he said, his steady gaze making your heart flutter. “I know why you’re doing this. I know what you want. But you’re about to throw yourself in the arms of a stranger. And I don’t want this to end badly. So tell me, do you really want this, or should I just... hold you?”

“I do”, you breathed out, your legs already hooked around his hips, your hands holding onto him, trying to pull him closer to you. “I do…”

That was enough for Ezra.

“Alright then.”

His lips found yours once again, gentle again, soothing, even. Your body was screaming for him, desperately seeking him, and only truly settled once you two had pushed enough clothes aside and he slid inside you, filling you both literally and figuratively. And throughout the act he stayed gentle, the rhythm of his thrusts lulling you into a sense of safety, your whimpers turning into moans until the orgasm washed over you and left you all limp. Ezra moved slowly, shifting partly off you to pull out and straighten his clothes. You let out a little sound, trying to stop him, but he just hushed you.

“Hey, easy. I’m not going anywhere, I’m right here.”

He pulled you back into his arms, let you bury your face into his chest, held you securely against his body.

“Shh… It’s alright, birdie. You’re not alone anymore.”

His soft words were the last thing you heard before drifting off to sleep, surrounded by his warmth and feeling safe, at last.

The encounter in the library had left you buzzing. You had never expected to be noticed by the twins. Not like that, at least. They were mostly entertaining their house mates, apart from the occasional public pranks. But now they had came to you. In person. Privately. You were too cautious to assume it meant anything, maybe they had been walking around the library doing the same thing with other students too but quite frankly, it didn’t matter whether it was personal or just a coincidence. Their attention had felt good. 

And they seemed to not be done with giving it.

“Oi, look who it is!” One of the twins called out when they ran into you down the Great Hall a few days later.

“Our favorite little book worm”, continued the other one.

You blushed lightly and lowered your gaze. Your housemates were looking, and suddenly you felt uncomfortable. Not because of the twins, but because of the whispering that had started the moment they called for you.

“Oh no, what is this?” Asked the twin that had spoken first, gently grabbing you as if you’d be trying to avoid them. “We thought you liked us!”

You could tell he was only joking, his grin was wide and eyes bright, but you felt a surge of guilt for appearing cold. Or ungrateful for that matter. You were neither, quite the opposite - you appreciated their attention a great deal.

“No, I do, I just–”, you started, only to be cut off by the other twin.

“We know. Fred can be a bit of a git sometimes, don’t take him too seriously.”

You huffed out a laugh you quickly suppressed. George’s casual, matter-of-fact delivery of that line eased your mind at once. 

“But we do understand if you don’t want to be associated with such rascals as ourselves”, Fred continued with a wink.

You gave him a look that clearly amused both of the twins. No, you did not have a problem with them.

“So, tell us”, said George, “have you been using our quill lately?”

You nodded, a bit shyly. “Sometimes.”

“We knew it. She’s hooked,” Fred commented, nudging his brother. “Told you it had charm.”

You looked down, smiling at your shoes. 

George couldn't help himself and asked: “Did anyone notice the pink essay?”

“No", you shook your head. "I mean, I showed it to a friend of mine but it had turned back to normal before I had to hand it in.”

“You’ve been showcasing our invention around, huh?” Fred grinned. “That’s great, we’ll take free advertising any time!”

You huffed softly, shaking your head. But then– “Wait, you’re selling those?”

“Not yet, but that’s the plan”, George explained.

“We just needed someone trustworthy to test the prototype first”, Fred added. “Lucky for us, we ran into you at the library, looking all responsible.”

You could feel your cheeks heating up again and couldn’t come up with anything smarter than an “um.” You clearly weren’t great with handling their attention.

“Don’t worry, we’re not expecting a full review just yet”, George teased. “But do report to us if it explodes or something.”

Your eyebrows raised. “Is that– possible?”

“Everything’s possible”, Fred cut in.

“But we can handle it”, George reassured. “Besides, we wouldn’t be handing out stuff we hadn’t tested ourselves first.”

You nodded, but just then your tummy let out a growling sound. You were starving.

George laughed softly, and decided to give you an out by nodding towards the great hall: “Alright, that’s enough of our business matters. You better go eat before you faint.”

That one you weren’t going to argue on, and left the twins to head to your house’s table. When you sat down next to your friend, she came at you right away.

“What was that about?” Her voice was filled with curiosity. “The Weasley twins, what did they want?”

“Uh, nothing. Just to talk about that quill, I guess.”

“Mhm-mh. I think they’re interested in you, you know.”

The look on your face was sceptical. “You think?”

“Definitely. This is the second time they came to talk to you, isn’t it? And they gave you that quill!”

“Yeah, but they’re always talking to people and testing their products on them and all”, you tried to downplay it, just to keep yourself from getting your hopes up.

“Yeah, with other Gryffindors. We’re not Gryffindor, in case you haven’t noticed.”

But of course you had noticed, and that was what was making you hope.

Pink ink

There they were again, the Weasley twins. Your gaze followed them as they were approaching on the hallway, the looks on their faces telling their discussion was about some mischief. Like usual. You knew their reputation, as did everyone in the castle, and sometimes you had even been in the right place at the right time to see their pranks. It wasn't regular fun for you, though. Being younger than the twins and from a different house, you mostly just heard the stories after the fact.

When the boys walked past, one of them saw you looking and to your surprise, offered a sly smile as if you’d be a fellow conspirator on whatever their plan was this time. Your heart rate spiked at the unexpected attention, but your lips curled into a smile in response. He, which one of them that one had happened to be, had noticed you! The moment lasted barely a few seconds, but it sure lit up your day. There were times you envied Gryffindors for being there to witness their misdemeanors first-hand, but suddenly you didn’t mind not sharing the house with the twins. Not when you got noticed even when you were an outsider.

Your next lesson was that of Professor Binns, so the little cheer-up came in need. Trying to follow his teaching was, after all, everything but fun. Not to mention the homework you got from the ghost of a teacher. After the deadly boring 45 minutes, he wanted 3 feet of some historical event you would never bother to think about again once the exams would be over. You had to really try to not groan out loud. Ugh, what a waste of time!

Having tried to avoid the assignment for as long as you could, at the end of the week you had no choice but to go to the library and get it over with. You spread your stuff on one of the tables and got to work. It seemed to take forever and at two feet, you were ready to give up. You leaned your head on your hands and sighed. That stupid assignment was about to turn your brain into mush! Why hadn’t you asked your friend to come and do homework with you, then you’d at least have someone to complain about it…

“What do I see?", a dramatic voice unexpectantly calling out beind you made you flinch. "A student fallen into despair!"

You turned to look, only to see the Weasley twins with mock serious looks on their faces. Before you could really process what was happening-

“That’s something we can’t have”, said the other twin, and sat down next to you uninvited.

“No, we most certainly can’t”, agreed the one who had spoken first, and sat on your other side. “George?” He then addressed his brother, who pulled out a quill.

“This, my dear, is one of a kind”, said George, holding up the quill for you to see. “You won’t find doing your homework nearly as bleak if you’re using it instead of that pitiful one you’ve got there.”

“Um”, you said, dumbfounded by their sudden appearance and how casually they had joined you. You weren’t one to whose table people usually sat like this. The boys, however, acted like this was business as usual.

“Go on, try it”, Fred urged and grabbed your quill out of your hand, followed by George sticking theirs into its place.

“What does this do?” You found your voice, and glanced at George after having taken a look at the quill that seemed perfectly normal.

“There’s only one way to find out”, he replied with a twinkle in his eyes.

Yeah, right, you thought, but then decided it couldn’t be anything that bad, directed your attention back to your homework, and after a moment of thinking, wrote a new sentence to it. The twins watched as the quill moved on the parchment, and half-way though, the color of the ink changed. It was now pink.

“See? Not so bleak anymore, is it?” Fred asked.

You stared at your parchment, which now had a half-pink sentence on it. It looked cute, in a way, but you couldn’t hand in the essay. Not like this. Damn. You should have known a little object like this certainly could cause trouble. Now you’d have to re-write the whole thing and–

Noticing your expression and successfully guessing the direction your thoughts had started to spiral, George drew your attention to himself. “Don’t worry, it won’t stay that way forever. Just a couple of hours, give or take.”

“He’s telling the truth”, confirmed Fred who had caught on, too. “We wouldn’t want to ruin anyone’s homework. Or, actually, we would. But not yours.”

Your shoulders relaxed, and a small smile crossed your lips. You weren’t screwed, after all.

“Well, then”, said Fred when the crisis was avoided, “you have fun with that, alright?”

“And don’t exhaust yourself with all that work”, added George.

You blushed lightly. “I won’t…”

“Fantastic”, Fred stated, and then looked at his brother. “We better get going.”

“Yep, there’s things we need to get done, too”, George agreed, addressing his words to you.

With that, the boys stood up and before leaving, said in unison: “See you around.”

Once the twins were gone and left you sitting there with your homework and their quill, you looked down on the writing again. Now that you thought of it, the idea wasn’t half bad. You hesitated, unsure if the ink would change back to its normal color like George had said, but since you had no desire to re-write the thing just in case the twins hadn’t lied, you decided to risk it and wrote the remaining part of it with their quill. The finished essay looked quite funny, with the last two-thirds being pink. And just as promised, the ink was black the next morning.

Day 25: Impact play

Your breaths were coming out as short gasps, your body tense over Red’s knee. A helpless whimper left your lips every time a new smack landed on your reddened backside. You buried your face into the mattress, trying not to squirm away. At that point you had no idea how long it had been going on - might have been five minutes as well as fifty. Sure, you had asked him to push you this time, to not let you off easy, but what had started as a little sting now hurt, more than you had expected it to. When one of those swats hit a particularly tender spot, you just couldn’t take it anymore.

“Red”, you barely managed to find your voice. “P-please…” 

His hand stopped mid-air, and then came down to rest over your burning skin. The touch was soft, but it still made you flinch. Which of course didn't go unnoticed by him.

“Mhm, you’re right. It does seem like you’ve had enough.”

A wave of relief rolled over you, but despite his words, you didn’t even try to move until he gently guided you up and pulled you against his body. You were trembling, feeling like all the strength had drained out of you as you wrapped your arms around his neck and slumped against him. God, that had been… a lot. Tears you had been fighting finally rolled down on your cheeks, followed by a sob you failed to suppress.

“Shh… it’s alright. You’re alright”, Red murmured, adjusting your position to make you more comfortable. “It's over now. Just rest.”
