I couldn't help to find it ironic that the book I chose as a travel companion for my month-long stunt to China is about living in a dystopian totalitarian society with no political or religious freedom. 

Anyways, I am writing to inform my devoted followers that I will be in Shanghai for the next month or so, and will be M.I.A. from tumblr during that time. Not that I have been very I.A. lately...

It has come to that time of year when I am to reopen this virtual diary. Right now we (my multiple personalities and I) are busy with wedding preparations. Not my own, but for the two individuals defying gravity in the foreground of this picture.

We all need more jazz in our lives, especially more Swedish jazz if one can help it.

So the last couple of weeks have been spent watching the voice. Period. 

There is so much Soul sauce in Vince Kidd, that he makes your pants/heart/jaw drop.

Now when there is even less than one week until my return to Las Americas a count down would feel appropriate, but I just don't have the heart to do it, not after having been dropped so many times by Mr Kidd

So I've made a spotify playlist for myself over the things that I should have listened to/watched at Way out West, but that I either didn't know about, or couldn't watch because I was working.I also see this as a part of my general education, as I've been ridiculously unupdated for the last 3 years.

Was not fortunate enough to stand in the front crowd for this one on Saturday, but it sure sounded nice from afar.

One shares a special bond with the people in the front crowd  at a concert - the people you share your sweat with, and try not to dry-hump or hit the face with your elbow.

But then again I wouldn't call The Knife Shaking the Habitual a concert, but more a sonic and visual indulgence.

Pathways yet again, I think I start to see a pattern in the type of architecture that intrigues me. Installations and structures that guides our travel through space, creating a experience that changes the way we perceive our relationship to our surroundings. A distinct idea, with a clear execution, using few and simple materials

Things don't always end ups as planned. After I gave up my fruitless summer job-hunt around mid-June, I accepted my fate as an unemployed Chinese-Scandinavian girl living a bohemian lifestyle. But then a couple of weeks ago things changed, and I am now an employed woman! For three whole days I am going to work at the Way Out West music festival in Gothenburg. Not only am I going to see and listen to a lot of live music for free, I am even getting paid! It is almost too good to be true. Someone will probably drop a piano on my head tomorrow.

Of course this completely changes the outlook for this blog, as I am now an independent working woman. Maybe I'll go crazy and shave my head! Wait... I guess I already did that.
