I want to apologize to every single person that follows me. I have recommended this network, I’ve recommended the stories the admins posted, and I’ve thought highly of them to the point where I didn’t believe this at first, but when I saw the screenshots and heard about everything, I was convinced.
I am horrified and disgusted by this behavior. I blame myself for sending so many of you to this network just to get mocked by them. A network is meant to be a place where you can share your work with others and get constructive criticism, make new friends, and be exposed to new content. They’ve made it into their own mocking pit where they read people’s work out loud and mocked it, where they bullied people to the point of them deleting their accounts, where they systematically tried to make Ave look bad and even prayed for her to plagiarize so they could “end her like they ended Candee”. I am horrified.
People let the notes and follower counts get to their heads and start thinking they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Just because you get 1k notes and someone else gets 10 doesn’t give you the right to mock them. We’ve all been there, we all started with 0 notes and 0 followers. A person’s worth is not measured by numbers, not in real life and especially not on Tumblr. They were always nice to me, but after reading all of this, I’m sure I was just a follower count to them, and not a person.
Once again, I’m sorry for recommending this network to you! I was fooled by their nice behavior towards me and I wasn’t aware of all the bullying going on. This is the reason why we all left the network and the reason why I will be blocking all of these girls and never talk to them again.
I don’t support bullying, mocking people, sending hate, and treating people like they’re less worthy. There is no apology that would be acceptable and nothing they can do to take this back. This wasn’t a one time thing - it was something they kept doing and were proud of. An apology after getting found out means nothing to when this was something that’s been going on for months. This is what they’ve been doing for a long time and they showed no remorse, so fake apologies won’t cut it.
Don’t get fooled by someone playing nice with you when you have evidence of them being vile and horrible towards someone else.
“It’s okay as long as it’s not happening to me or my friends” is a harmful mentality. It lets people do bad things and get away with them. We need to support each other as a community. I’m always ready to defend any one of you that was harmed in any way and I hope you all feel the same way about other people in our community.
