It’s interesting that in the P4 Animation we got glimpses of what would be Yu’s Shadow during Mitsuo Kubo’s dungeon (Episode 12 I believe) and during the last episode. And in many aspects, Adachi works as a stand-in for how it would be a reverse Yu, as they were roughly similar when they were the same age in the big city (pre-Inaba Yu).

In the game it shows that Yu changed everybody’s lives around him, but in the anime shows during the Game Quest episode that his friends also influenced him and he changed because of these interactions. It’s never one-sided. It’s rather hard to convey it in the original game because that usually the silent protagonists are considered blank slates so the player can build their own background the way they want in their own minds and shape the personality through the answers given during the game.

I’m always of the opinion that Yu having a shadow in the anime was a very nice touch. And that what the shadow revealed was something that was in keeping with the game’s theme. It also was a very solid motivation for a protagonist who went around just establishing relationships with people. He didn’t just do it to power up his personas, he did it because he didn’t want to be alone or feel alone again.

To see that Yu himself wasn’t perfect (strange yes) was great. To see that he himself had legit fears really endeared him to me. But him having a shadow was great. And I also loved that Yu’s shadow appearing also supported the concept in P4Arena: That the shadow can always return. You can’t just defeat it once and expect to be safe forever.

Hi there, guys! I know I haven't been around for long and my art style is very simple but I've encountered a financial rut as I've been trying to look for a new job. I'd greatly appreciate any help. With that being said, I'll be taking commissions for a set price. As of right now, I will only be drawing fictional humans, in two different styles. Sketch on paper ($5-$10):

Digital ($10-$25):

The prices are interchangeable depending on detail and the amount of characters in the image and can be discussed through with me. Digital commissions have a wide gap in price depending on the style of lineart you'd like (sketchy, like the last image, or firm like the first three), character size (bust-up, half body, full body), as well as how you'd like the coloring to be done (no coloring, solid colors, basic shading). Rules: - No changing your order once it's accepted. - Payment accepted through PayPal and can be done after the drawing is finished. - No tracing, editing, reselling, etc. of the drawings. - Credit my art whenever sharing it.
