Mini leviathan is printed! He needs so sanding and a resin coat. Then I’ll cast him and get final measurements.

Later today I will have a couple of prenade leviathan toys up for sale. One will glow in the dark!

I should be getting the last of the supplies needed to start making the mermaid lure keychains in today, so I’ll be working on getting those up soon. I won’t be custom making those. I’m making the lures themselves out of excess silicone so I’ll just be color coordinating with them as they’re made. ^.^

I’ll be going to the post office today as well!

My Poseidon is here! He’s a custom based on a black licorice taffy picture I sent TNP requesting the white part to be a cream pearl color. The firm is a but squishy but has a little resistance. Also received a nice gold and black scale necklace.

Another year’s come and gone and here we are again…it’s time for Marbled March! The original marble themed sale of March, many features are the same as last year, and many are different.

——–What is Marbled March 2016?——-

Semi-custom orders are available throughout the month. Just choose one color, then I’ll choose another/other contrasting color(s) and come up with your marble. I like dynamic, tight marbling but am open to suggestion for less contrast, loose marbles, or cowprint “mottles”. Generally I opt for a light and dark, for example, and if you want eye-searingly bright tones instead I will be happy to work with that! Just let me know.

While last year featured my signature “Transitional Marbles,” this year I am focusing on Painterly Marbles! They tend to look like thick patches of opaque paints…much inspiration in impressionism. A positive is there’s not too much difference among all the firmnesses with Painterly’s. While Transitionals are still offered this year they have not received such a discount due to their complexity.

——-What else happens this year?——-

Since this marks the fifth year of DamnAverage, there will be some very old models appearing throughout the month. They will not be sticking around beyond my work with Marbled March orders…additionally the current Above Average Alien and Rattler will be discontinuing following this: they will be back later this year with much needed upgrades.

On shipping, I will be making trips when possible. Please keep in mind that custom orders do take a bit of time and I am quite prone to recasting based on my perfectionism. Also know that unwell life situations do continue and it may cause slight delays here and there. Please do not inquire about shipping times until after the timeframe on your receipt. And don’t order on the 31st and claim you’ve been waiting 3 months on May 1st. Not letting that fly this year.

——-Some things to keep in mind:——-

-Firmnesses are: super soft (0030), soft (0050), and medium (approx 8A) -Super Soft has a tendency to blend during pouring, so I cannot guarantee that the marbles will be very tight or crisp. I will certainly try, but expect more of a soft/feathered edge on any super soft toys. -Metallic and glow pigments affect the weight of the silicone, so may also cause issue with colors blending -Marbled March is only for marbles, I am not offering other color options at this time. -I will be uploading various pre-mades throughout the month when the new week sets go up. -Marbled March listings will have a desaturated promo image at the front of them and say “Marbled March” in the listing title and in the corner of the image. -For questions please ask me on Etsy. Oftentimes questions that only I can answer get posted on unrelated forums, and receive odd estimations or conjecture that don’t help anyone. I don’t usually bite, please do not be afraid to ask me directly. -If an item is not in stock when you check, it is sold out and will not be getting relisted until I work through its queue. All items have 2-4 openings to start.

STORE REVAMP

I’m sure you all noticed that my logo, tumblr page, twitter, facebook, and etsy have all been updated! I’m very excited about the logo, it took a lot of work and I have a friend, Aysun the Mermaid, to thank for the custom drawn “&” symbol (anchorsand? haha)

Other changes:

New shipping costs, I’ve raised them by $2 to cover the cost of boxes and such. This might change since I still don’t think it’s doing much more than giving me a few cents extra after shipping. We’ll see.

New “stock” color options:

1. Marina’s Pearl - interference blue, interference green, interference lavender 2. Dragon Carp - interference gold, black, and gold/orange 3. Mermaids Tail - emerand green, blue, and teal 4. Sunburst - bright pink, tangerine, and yellow 5. Ocean Mist- white, pale blue, and blue 6. Pirates Treasure - aztec gold, pale gold, silver 7. Sailors Familiar - Yellow, Blue, Green 8. Midnight Opal - deep blue, blue and interference blue w/ glitter I’ll have a color chart by tomorrow to add to all the listing so that you can see the colors. NEW PRICES!! Base prices have remained the same. Custom options with MORE THAN 3 COLORS HAVE GONE UP. Glow in the Dark is now an add on extra cost to cover the cost of the pigment (glow pigment is expensive!). These new costs will help me stay out of the red, and make my store run more efficiently and help me get bigger better equipment! :D

Third times the charm!! Look at how perfect he is!!

I’m going to be working on premades and he (and likely the larger Poseidon) will be available to buy on Sunday after the store revamp. 💙

I can’t wait!!

The second mini Poseidon pull, still some issues but when I pulled it out I felt water fly everywhere so I think that’s why. All in all, still happy with it and its better than the first!

The Poseidon is printed!!! It needs some smoothing and a few gaps filled in, but its a the perfect size and its just beautiful!

I’ll be working on smoothing it up the next couple days and should be casting it soon.
