Hello! I was rereading the first part of the Fantomestein comic and as a Victorian nerd and Goth who knows too many funeral rites, I love the detail that Christine thought Erik was her father's ghost because of the Victorian "souls trapped in mirrors" superstition, it's such an ingenious touch!

Forgot to post this here but this was when I was in a very creatureverse time of my life in February (?)

It goes without saying that the Big Blue Baby belongs to Guillermo del Toro, but alas, I do not know his tumblr dark web account (which I feel in my bones he must have). Was going a little cross eyed while working on the next comic pages so I asked the kind folks on my CF for some distracting sketch ideas and they delivered me from my suffering momentarily. I don’t think I can top Divine Manatee…may be the best thing I’ve ever drawn who knows, folks, may be down hill from here. Also a sneak peek of the page I’ve been toiling on <3

I feel like you've done this before, but if you haven't, I recently saw this again, and I feel like it is a must that you put the Daroga and Darius in this.

Real doozy of a update to be working on during the unexpected loss of a family member…had to take a little break and draw only silly/happy things for a bit.I’m doing ok though and not tempted to throw myself in the wind, thankfully. <3

Update! I tweaked the gif AGAIN…and I have run out of finished pages (shhhh) but I hope to finish another this weekend, slings and arrows of outrageous fortune permitting, that is.

heyyy just finished binging all of fantomestein and i loved it so much!!! i was just wondering what your update schedule looks like, if there is a schedule at all. i'd just like to know how often to check for updates lol.

My posting schedule looks…truly embarrassing at the moment. I’m fighting for my life to at least update once or twice before Halloween rolls round AGaIN. I dearly wish there was a schedule and I’m working on thumbnailing/prepping stuff in advance to I can do several pages at once and have one of those mystical, magical buffers I hear legends told about.

For a bit of backstory, I got blocked by a story problem that I recently was able to fix (yay!) and then I went through this whole journey where I realized part of my struggle to post /update is due to this weird guilt I have with making things for me, for fun, without the “legitimization” of it being a side job/financially beneficial or a form of study or “important” enough. Turns out, never having your creative pursuits supported (and sometimes actively discouraged) until they were making you money or part of “school” will foster a dysfunctional relationship to art! It feels weird to me to prioritize something just because I like it and it makes me happy??? Oof, always something going on with this one *gestures to my brain*

But, please, never apologize for adopting Raoul—lord knows he needs a parental figure in his life.

If TC/Erik has enough time on his hands (jobless) to adopt a hundred or so rats, I think he could take in another waif in need. Raoul could use the protection of a homunculus…hom-uncle-us, if you will.
