John Hodiak-Judy Garland-Angela Lansbury "Las chicas de Harvey" (The Harvey girls) 1946, de George Sidney.
The Harvey Girls was released in the US on 18 January 1946.
Based on Samuel Hopkins Adams' 1942 novel, MGM had initially purchased the rights in order to make a dramatic vehicle for Lana Turner, but after seeing Oklahoma! on Broadway (which had opened in 1943), the studio decided to rework the material in a musical specifically for Judy Garland.
Johnny Mercer and Harry Warren wrote the songs for the film, which included "On the Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe," which was a #1 hit for Mercer, Tommy Dorsey (#6), and Judy Garland (#10). The song would go on to receive the Oscar for Best Original Song (Lennie Hayton's score was nominated but did not win).
The film reunited Garland with her Wizard of Oz (193) co-star Ray Bolger, and was the first speaking role for Cyd Charisse (her singing was dubbed by Marion Doenges).

Every day I'm sorry that there was no episode of Emergency! where they have to work on Christmas. It would have been so great with Christmas themed rescues like a collapsed store Santa or a Christmas lights explosion or a candle-caused house fire.

So, that's it again. As mentioned above, I might surprise you sooner than expected. Haven't decided yet.
Enjoy!

in 2026, remember how GOOD writing feels. remember how satsfying it is to get your characters to the point you have been dying to get to, where they will experience the love, fear, relief or whatever the feeling you want to bring to life may be. let this year be the year of writing, prgress and of satisfactory endings.
as a deeply indecisive woman i do appreciate the humble semicolon. It's not quite enough to be a new sentence, but it is too far removed gramatically from the previous words to be nicely partitioned off with a mere comma. All behold our goddess

hello friendly reminder that you do not need a special occasion to use nice things! if you wait long enough your nice bath bomb won't be as fizzy! your favourite fruits will go out of season! candles are meant to be burned, not looked at! you're not enjoying your special tea if it's just sitting in your cupboard! you're allowed to have nice and special things on completely ordinary days! heck, it might just make that day special!!
“Uh look … you uh - better let me do the talking, all right?”
“Yeah. Sure.”
🤭 You could see Roy’s wheels spinning already that he’d better take the wheel on this phone call with a possible interested buyer for the old engine.

Who can turn the world on with her smile? Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile? Well it’s you girl, and you should know it With each glance and every little movement you show it Love is all around, no need to waste it You can have it all, why don’t you take it You’re gonna make it after all You’re gonna make it after all
Do you think Robert Pattinson and Eddie Redmayne are in the closet? Not necessarily together, I think Rob is with Tom Sturridge, but they are part of a circle of close friends including Andrew Garfield and Jamie Dorman, maybe Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston too. I noticed they're all really private, and close friends. They all seem to have something in common lmao, and not just being Brits
Oh my goodness, I just saw this - did I ever answer you? I am so so sorry if I didn't! 😭 If you are still around, let me know and I will communicate back. I greatly apologize if I never did.
Closetwithaview, hope you’re well. Are you following the Heated Rivalry shenanigans? I read the blog post where you warned the fans about those two! Curious if you’ve seen anything.
Hey, how are you? Thank you for the hello. 😊 👋 I'm supposed to be working on a post that I started earlier in the week but keep getting distracted (plus it's baseball season and I've spent too much time agonizing over my losing ball team). I have to say what I see regarding the HR guys are confined to my X timeline and Just Jared. I've not been surprised by some of the garish headlines and it looks like Hudson takes the brunt of mistreatment, no doubt in large part due to racism. I wasn't crazy about seeing them sign up with CAA, but so far at least, they were able to have a ton of fun the night of the Met Gala. Leading up to that, it also looked like for awhile someone was trying to create some separation by using Francois Arnaud and make it look like him & Connor were inseparable, but I haven't noticed that for awhile. In the meantime, they sure are being kept busy, aren't they? That's a good thing; have to strike while the iron is hot.
Can't believe I woke up on a Saturday morning to a video of Jensen telling a bunch of high school graduates they should find their own Jared 😭😭😭 like what is wrong with this man this has nothing to do with a graduation speech dude lmaoo
