I have made camp on the side of the rode tonight, I almost had a run in with guards traveling the road this morning, but as always, they paid me no mind, not knowing how rich they’d be if they brought me to the Kingdom. My meal tonight is cold, I do not wish to risk bringing myself any unwanted attention, in case those guards were smarter than they looked and turned around to find me.

I traveled longer than planned. I shall arrive in Treefall by midday tomorrow; I have no doubt that Mal will wish to know why I left so suddenly the moment I arrive. I have no doubt that Mal will know that I have returned even before I enter Treefall. He will demand answers, as I would, and he will get them. I am glad to be in more familiar surroundings, my perch in this tree has given me a comfort I longed for since I left Atleos, my faith has been strengthened in our cause, and I hope the new I bring of my mission, strengthen not only Mal’s, but others I have seen wavering.

Diary Entry 1

Sleep is calling me, so I shall keep this short. The Kingdom has eyes everywhere, but I feel safe enough her in this middle of nowhere inn. Rebellion is never simple, I’m often disheartened, it often seems as though everything we do here, does nothing. This job I left on was of extreme importance. Unfortunately, I was unable to tell Mal in person, leaving him in charge was the easiest and wisest choice. He is going to be angry with me for leaving as I did, as I would be had I been in his place. I will not speak much of the reasons behind the job I left on, it is far too important, and there is too much risk in detailing it here. The only time I will speak of it is in person, to my most trusted. Maybe Mal will understand better, once he hears of what had to be done. It is not often I take jobs outside of the Kingdom, but this job was best done in person, I trusted only myself for this one. I should arrive home soon, the job had gone better than I had originally thought, but time will tell just how well it had gone. The moon is high, I must leave at first light, I must end this now, and I must keep my wits about me if I’m to safely get back in one piece.
