Apocalyptic Film poster final Evaluation
Boxing film poster Evaluation
Today I decided to come up with a few ideas for interesting ways of present some of my outcomes and supporting finals at a smaller scale compared to the A3 final prints. Althought I planned to make a small A5 size booklet I decided to use asetate paper to print my images on and them bind them together to create an A4 size booklet. The process was simple, first I printed the original image, then I scanned it, inserted the asetate paper into the special paper tray and selected copy, this copied my colour image and printed onto the transparent asetate paper. Unfortunately the matt side of the image was not as attractive as the glossy side, but i couldnt use the the glossy side because it was the reversed side of the print so i had to go back to the computer and flip the image horizontally and repeat the process. Once completed i noticed the images to be a bit bland, so i decided to match the asetate paper with white printing paper and lay the asetate on top, the printing paper acted as all of the white colours that the asetate was missing to create a bright coloured, glossy final presentation image. These images were then bound together using the binding machine. I think this is an interesting way to present a few final outcomes and a better approach rather than a small booklet full of normal prints.
This is a before and after of my final image for one of my posters. This is one of my favorite peices of work that i have produced myself, it took a lot of shooting on different days to get the image that i wanted e.g. the sky and weather had to be right. Once i had the image i wanted, i spent a few hours learning and then applying tecniques to my final image, this worked well because the image looks a lot like how i wanted and very attractive in the form of a poster.

This is my final supporting image for the ‘Apocalyptic’ Film poster. I was very lucky to find the subjects and capture the parrots movement whilst keeping good frame and awareness of the composition. It is clear that this could not be a final poster image but it perfectly suits a supporting image, its purpose is not to advertise but support the facts of the film, therefore using Photoshop and camera raw editor I am able to create this dead world as imagined from an image of a perfectly good day. The sky, ground and subjects are all looked to be run down and lifeless, i think this worked well because it followed my intentions of creating this world through composition and manipulation.

This is a youtube video tutorial showing how to create an aura using a variety of tools and tecniques. I used a variation of this skill for my test shoot and majorly for my final. It was extremely helpful and has made me more open to photoshop manipulation because it was the first time i felt that i was doing something that looked more professional than usual spot healing of overlaying.

This is a contact list of the 1st test shoot.
I wanted to test the lighting and positioning in this shoot, i think the last few photos had the right positioning like i imagined. The lighting wasn’t perfect but i think i would add more lights but dim them down to create shadows and definition in the muscles. I will also use one or more of these images to experiment with in Photoshop.
