so weird 2 me when I talk about colleges of agriculture and ppl are like “lmao you can go to school for farmingggggg hahaha” bc they don’t see agriculture as a science as if farmers weren’t the original engineers, botanists, geneticists, chemists, biologists, veterinarians, etc. etc.
go ahead and just decide you’re gonna start growing something to feed x amount of people, diversify your crops and livestock to meet nutrition needs, provide during the non-growing season, protect and repair the soil for future sowing & growing, identify which crops are best for your climate and soil type, develop tools & equipment or hand-methods to make this all easier/possible in the first place,
but don’t so much as google any information provided to you by the people who go to college for agriculture, or by the people whose family, region, and culture have been doing this all by trial and error for a thousand years,
see how it goes
I’m not sure who needed to see this, but here you go

Several days ago we had ice crystals inside the whorl of the wheat below the head. Then today we got a snow with lots of freezing temps in between. Wheat crop isn’t looking too good anymore
