V E R S A C E . Spring 1994. This would be the collection that would make Gianni a household name. A collection of “Posh Punk”, there was lace, leather, slashed sweaters, and of course the “Safety Pin” evening dresses. Those dresses would become “That Dress”, made famous by Liz Hurley at the premier of Four Weddings and a Funeral, featuring then beau, Hugh Grant. The Supers stomped the runway with attitude and slicked hair, Christy, Naomi, Kate, Helena and co made Punk sexy. Linda scored this seasons campaign. Shot by Avedon in black and white, it was less flashier than previous seasons, but equally as exciting and beautiful, being one of my favourite Versace campaigns that feature Linda.
