"link what do you mean you were on the same train carriage as käärijä" sit down children let me regale you the story of the funniest 2 hours of my life

jere posted the story of him being at the station of schiphol airport as i'm on the metro to the very next station and as i am sprinting to catch my train i realize there's a very big chance we're gonna be on the same one. so with 2 minutes to spare i hop on the train and open the door and immediately clock the hat and häärijä makes direct eye contact with me and my giant dirk bag and open coat and kä hoodie. and at this point i gotta commit, turning around and leaving is worse, so i sit on the first open seat which is behind hä. they're all on the 2x2 with the table in the middle and im on a double right behind.

i'm internally cry laughing because what are the odds of this shit. trying to be very inconspicuous but i am one gaze upwards away of making eye contact with veikko or jukka and there's no way they don't already know i'm there. i see them record a story and i mind my own business and then my phone explodes LINK YOU'RE IN THE STORY and i'm like okay guess i'll pass away now.

@fasolabean finally joins me after 30 minutes or so and we're trying very hard to just have a normal conversation without laughing. we're not gonna bother them because they're travelling, it's not a moment for a meet and greet, but eventually jere gets up to go to the bathroom and when he comes back he obviously clocks us in our goddamn kä merch.

i'm busy signing stickers when a PC cd appears in my field of vision and there jere is (Fas made eye contact as he approached and he was so pleased with himself giving us the CDs. real :3 hehe hours) we INSTANTLY break off in apologies like omg i'm so sorry this is an accident and he just laughs and says its ok. i give him a sticker and he looks me dead in the eye and goes "i know you?" and because i'm stupid i say yeah maybe i was at both amsterdam shows! not realizing he probably recognizes me from the fact he took a picture with my shirt so i'm still beating myself up about that one for a while

he asks us where we're from and if we're going to esns and he asks something about tickets but this is where he lost me a little but he was just really sweet and we went back to our respective business after. he absolutely did not have to do that but he did and he made our day with it and the whole thing was just so fuckign funny. even more so because @jaarijani the night before was like "haha what if" and then behind the very FIRST door i open

anyway new core memory
