“You do remember that I am pathokinetic, yes? Emotional burdens are sort of my thing.” A smirk came onto his lips for just a moment before he realized how that may sound. “I do understand, though. We all need time to sort through once we are feeling here and there, and someone who can just tell you what is going on with you doesn’t exactly mean it is helpful.”
His eyes moved back to the target, watching the second arrow fly into a neat and nice bullseye.
There’s a part of him that wanted to pull out his mother’s chakram, to attempt to split the two arrows or show that he had skill as well, only to remember that it was broken and back home. Home was something that both of them were missing, in a sense. Li with what he’d lost, and Zephyr with what he’d left behind.
“I’m sorry if I brought too many things back to the surface.” Zephyr stated before looking away. “If you would like for me to leave, so you can continue your process, I will.”
Li let out a soft hum. “Yes, your semblance... To feel the emotions of others, I imagine that it is both a blessing and a curse.”
Many questions filled the hunter’s mind, but he figured it was best to keep them to himself for the moment.
He drew one more arrow, eyeing the target as he gathered his thoughts. “You don’t need to apologize, Zephyr,” he replied. “If you don’t mind, I would rather you stay... I find your presence comforting, as strange as that may sound.” He let the arrow fly, barely wedging itself in between the two previous arrows and once more hitting the bullseye.
“I have come to accept the fact that my dear An is gone forever and my son is now a young man. Time continues to flow without me...”
