In one of the most interesting TEDx podcast, education consultant, Alex Ellison had talked about her view on liberal arts education. She had argued that liberal arts education is an essential foundation for any career and explained how it gives job seekers the skills they need in their jobs.

Today, many students feel very stressed about choosing their disciplines for two main reasons. The first reason is the available options that they have to get a proper job in the future. The second one is technology and late capitalism, which had affected the job markets.

Therefore, to help them, many parents and educators suggest to them visit the occupational information network website, where they can find a lot of information about the labor market. Even though this kind of website is useful and efficient in offering counsel to students. However, Mrs. Ellison sees this as an unreasonable way to guide the students because it teaches the student that the job is just about money and the lucrative. Thus, they will forget the most significant thing in the job, which are philosophy and creativity.

Mrs. Ellison said that " I think it's kind of sad when I see so many of our at risk students, being trapped into very finite and specific vocational and technical programs,"

Therefore, she asked all the teachers to assist their students at risk by giving them all the tools which will lead them to find the right path of their disciplines. Furthermore, she believes that parents should not ask their children to pick a career at 18.

She adds, "because, unfortunately, they will not be going to have a career for the rest of their life,"

Although students and job seekers already have the employer's skills they want and need in their jobs. However, on the other hand, they should not be stopping acquiring new skills. Because in the future, this skill will be their currency, which will help them find their dream job.

Professor Sandra Matz said that " as psychological targeting can pose a threat in the wrong hands, it could also provide a solution to what in my opinion might be an even bigger threat to democratic,"

To prove how psychological targeting could influence people's behavior. She tested it by teaming up with a beauty retailer in the UK, and they advertised the online store. Then, she recommended women to click on an ad and go to the store to purchase something.

Also, she created an extraversion ad to measure the simple purchases on the beauty retailer's website. She found that about 50% more likely to make a purchase. So extroverts were more likely to make a purchase.

Tim the genius of the language

He was faced with several obstacles and challenges to remember the whole words and the rules. For that, he used a strategy called the method of loci or technically low form. Which, had read about it in his Latin class. This technique in which you take mnemonics. For example, if you want to learn ten vocab from the list, you should take each of those words. And, instead of memorizing them in blocks, you integrate them into your spatial memory.

He is always blown away by the number of languages he can hear it in New York. For instance, he can see Chinese or Spanish on the billboard. Furthermore, he can see Russian bookstores, Indian restaurants, and Turkish bathhouses. And that had given him the chance to improve his language skills.

About two years ago, Tim had appeared in a New York Times article titled "The Adventures of a Multilingual Teenager," which showed his strange hobby and his passion for learning foreign languages. He said that "I like the fact that I learn the language and get more attention".
