My partner and I moved from Washington to California in January, accepting a work position that included free housing. Unfortunately, the financial benefits were a lie, and the nonprofit is mismanaged, even legally questionable. Further, the administrative process for healthcare in California is insane, and you are expected to see a doctor via the ER, even if you are disabled.
In the move down, we spent our savings, so we are trying to find emergency housing, while we locate new jobs and housing in the Olympia area.
We are both 42, relatively in good health, and have two dogs - a twenty pound Chihuahua / Terrier mix (“Junior”), and a sixty-pound Chesapeake and chocolate lab (“Fidget”). While we cannot initially provide rent, we can provide labor for your place, and transport for you. (Having this agreement in a contract is preferred.) We will immediately be working as delivery drivers, so some money will be coming in.
Mark is, by trade, a tattoo artist and professional photographer, and Greg is a nonprofit consultant and professional editor, with both having caregiver experience.
Our goal is to have our own housing secured withing three months, no more.
Please contact us for additional information, and thank you for your time.
