i know there are ppl who think that remus and wynonna make an odd couple, and specifically they don't see why he likes wynonna when they seem so different on the surface. but i think anyone who doesn't get it at all just doesn't really understand/know who remus is as a person and only see him as one thing

Still laughing about Remus not wanting to be undressed by someone during sex bc he will forcibly/physically stop them and the image of a very mild mannered Remus being physical in the bedroom by physically taking ppls hands off him and restraining/pinning them/flipping them over onto their stomach/knees, etc is honestly sending me
Thinking about how Remus is covered from neck to ankle like some Victorian lady at all times unless he is 1000% alone. Yes it is hot and uncomfortable sometimes but he’s doing it anyway. In the dorms. Takes extra care to shower when no one else is in there or likely to be in there, etc. even if he’d ever stayed at James’s house during the summers or smth, even if james’s parents KNOW he’s a werewolf and obvs his friends do, NO ONE is seeing his bare arms or legs on purpose.
His first sexual encounter (with wynonna ofc) is fully clothed and his few subsequent encounters with others before he runs into wynonna again, are also clothed. And from behind. Do. Not. Look. At. Him. Do not try to take his clothes off!
Even if the people he’s slept with know he’s a werewolf, which is highly likely given the timeline and it’s not like he’s out there dating in the middle of the war lol. He still doesn’t want to be naked in any casual sexual encounter, which is the extent of what he has. He may know the person and be friends/close with them but it is a sexual encounter, not a romantic one.
I think I used to think/say he would be up front about that from the start but….im not so sure that’s true unfortunately. He wouldn’t be INTENTIONALLY leading anyone on to expect more than a casual fling but he, especially during that time when it’s all pretty new to him and he’s still quite young and stupid, he’s much too afraid of conflict and awkward conversations to be honest and up front about what he’s looking for in the encounter bc he doesn’t want to upset anyone. Of course, that is exactly what happens when he is awkward and avoidant after lmfao. He’ll still be friendly and polite but he is a bit unsure of how to act after the fact and he THINKS he’s just trying to be casual and Not Obvious that they slept together but that does come off a bit like he’s pretending nothing happened agskdgdkdbdid. He would explain his thought process if pressed and I imagine it’s happened at least once. But mostly he accidentally makes it weird and offends them sgajdjofjhd and he gets some very unhappy looks after lol. He is a classic case of trying to be a nice person and not upset people in a way that actually just has the opposite effect.
I got off track there….BUT back on track….he’s fucking fully clothed, from behind and is the king of back shots *finger guns* bc he ain’t coming inside no one (except wynonna lmfao)
HOWEVER, this does change after the first time he has sex with wynonna NOT clothed and then for a while she is the ONLY person he’ll wear shorter sleeves around. When he stays with her and waverly after her uncle dies, he is more relaxed and doesn’t worry about it if it’s just wynonna and waverly around.
But it’s not until after the second war is over and he and wynonna are finally actually properly together with no fucking crisis every other week that he stops worrying about it altogether and will wear shorter sleeves anywhere and around anyone. It’s not JUST wynonna and being with her that makes him feel more comfortable, though it is a big part of it, but also just that after all the shit that’s gone on in his life he’s just so fucking tired of doing all that extra worrying and covering up. He’s so much more comfortable with himself in general and so much less concerned with what other people think of him. He is FINALLY happy and he’s not letting anything get in his way of enjoying that.

Thinkin about reynonna…as one does. And something I don’t think I’ve really articulated ever or even really thought much about before but I think Remus really admires wynonna tbh. Like just in general he enjoys her sense of humor and her attitude (no matter how much he pretends not to at a point…) bc as someone who is constantly trying to shrink himself and behave and be good and do no harm lest someone discover him! 😱 to see someone who is so “fuck you 🖕” @ ppl who say mean things about her or judge her, he’s like “damn..I wish I could be that free” (which tbh is also probably part of why he thinks he hates her attitude for so long….hes jealous). Of course he can’t see inside her head and know how she really thinks/feels about those things but she has at least made a decision to appear not to care and he thinks that’s very brave of her honestly
