tell us something about your experiences in the chinese side of the fandom

Thanks for the ask! It's honestly hard to describe. There were so many absolutely insane 100k+ wincest fics posted entirely through forum posts. So many people went feral for the sibling dynamics. Early seasons Sam is known as 妹妹头/Little-sister-haircut for his bangs.

So, so many crackvids, and also some seriously made MVs with the most batshit song choices (I don't even know how to translate this genre, but you can think of it as bad electro club music).

There was this one MV called A Deal With God (set to Running Up That Hill) that showed an AU/Butterfly Effect crossover where Sam went back in time after Dean was killed by hellhounds, thanks to Gabriel and Chuck (note that this was made during the earlier seasons), and strangled himself in the womb as a baby, allowing Dean to grow up happy and normal. Bc that one deeply upset approximately 170k fans, another artist made a fix-it MV called Another Deal With God in which Dean starts to realize something's missing from his life and learns about Sam, and proceeds to make another deal to bring Sam back.

Oh, and also there were a lot of videos that no longer exist in which people would dub over clips of Supernatural in various Chinese dialects for comedic effect. I can go on and on about this, but I'll stop here.
