“Have you heard, have you heard?” Someone in the crowd whispers, “The circus is coming to town.”

The distorted music coming from the giant tent is ringing in your ears. The night has fallen, but the lights the circus provides gives the impression that it’s still daytime.

Floods of people are entering the tent, they seem never-ending, but the tent always has a place for more people. People who exit the tent have souvenirs, colorful hats, and unusually big candies. Some are with family, some are with friends, but they all have a smile on their lips, eyes sparkling with the miracles they just witnessed.

You witnessed it, too.

You’re fresh out of the show that had ended. The torch-lit room still makes you shiver when you think of it, excitement prickling on your skin despite the show already being over.

You saw a man carry an elephant in his arms without breaking a sweat, the hypnotizer who can command people at will, a man creating ice and fire out of thin air, there was even someone who could make explosions with his hands. A pink-skinned girl, invisible girl, a man with 111 piercings, a redhead with skin as hard as a rock- they all had something weird, special about them.

You are standing in front of the entrance, not going in, neither going out. Your eyes wander over the flyer that’s pinned on the board. It’s the flyer you’ve seen the past week everywhere, the streets are littered with it, but you never picked it and read what was on it. You find yourself looking at it, hoping to feel the remnants of the magic of the show on it.

The paper is adorned with reds, purples, and greens, and you bring your hand up to touch the smooth surface of it as you read the golden, big lettered headline.

“The greatest circus in the world!” It says, listing the shows right under it, you find something similar to envy bubbling inside you as you read about the shows, the quirky people who would be an outcast if they were anywhere but here. You envy them, the life they have, how free they are, going around the world and just being themselves, being as weird as they want, it still gains them money.

A circus is just what you need; you find yourself thinking. Leave your life behind and join them.

“Do you want to see a man lift a whole house with his pinky? Someone who can create explosions out of thin air? There’s more, more to the freaks. Come then, come closer.” You read, unconsciously stepping forward and nearing the paper.

You bite down on your lip, an audible gasp makes your eyes widen when you read the small box that’s in the corner of the flyer.

“Want to be a part of the show?” It says, so small you would’ve missed it any other day. “Show us what you have, and you might become one of us.”

“You have to prove yourself first, though.”

     +You are a Pro Hero that has a Light quirk that you can use for teleportation, offensive, and defensive reasons. Somethings being invisibility, lights laser, blinding/stun flashes, etc. You are also dating the Pros Ground Zero and Deku. One day, after tracking and stopping an aggressive B list vilvillainou are grabbed from behind and everything goes black. You wake up in a strange room being greeted by your “Biggest Fans”.

      I awoke in a darkish room, the last rays of the days sunlight bleeding in. I felt the soft plush of a blanket under my fingertips. I pushed myself up, blanket falling to my waist, and looked around. The first thing I noticed was the jail bars that went across the entirety of the room. My eyes widen as I get up and try running towards the bars. My legs give out as soon as I stand. I hit the floor hard on my knees.

       “Crap.” I groaned. I straightened up on my knees and held my head. I felt fatigued and heavy. Shuffling outside the door caught my attention.

       “Did you hear that? I think she’s awake.” I heard a feminine voice chirp. I heard the sound of keys jingling and then the door opened. Two figures walked in before turning on the light. I flinched and covered my eyes. “Oh you are awake?”

       “We were starting to get worried.” A male said. I uncovered my eyes and blinked a few times. I saw a young boy and girl standing on the other side of the bars. The girl was smiling big and the boy had a lazy smile on his face.

       “Who are you?” I asked before looking around. “What am I doing here?”

       “Oh I am Oma and this Clayton. We are REALLY big fans of yours. Eek! Pro Hero Streak!” The girl exclaimed. “And this, this is your new home.”

       “New home? What is that supposed to mean?” I asked getting to my feet. They exchanged looks.

       “We mean this is where you are going to live from now on.” Clayton explains. I stilled in shock before looking around.

       “And why would you think that? How did I even get here?” I asked agitated and in the back of my mind, scared. I could tell by the way I felt that I had been drugged and couldn’t do much without stumbling.

       “Because we decided!” Oma giggled and explained like it was a normal conversation. I looked at her in disbelief.

       “We drugged you after you defeated the villain. We knew you needed a break and stepped in.” Clayton said shrugging. I sighed and set my forehead in my hand.

       “And in what way did you think that was even remotely right to you?” I asked before looking up at them sternly. “Did this ever occur to you that this is very wrong?”

       “What do you mean?” Oma looked confused. She held her hands to her chest. “Wrong?” She whimpered.

       “No we are giving you a better life.” Clayton said, setting a hand on Oma’s shoulder. “We want to give you so much and we wanted to start by giving you a better life. Starting by giving you a better home.”

       “Yeah! We love you so much!” Oma said. She looked at me. “You need time to think this through. To…accept your new situation. We understand.” They moved towards the door.

       “Haha, no. I will be leaving.” I went to use my quirk to light streak out of here but found out I couldn’t. I tried again but again, nothing.

       “Oh silly. You have a quirk cancelling collar on.” My hand shot to my neck and found out it was true. I yanked on it, trying to get if off but to no avail. “Please don’t. We don’t want you to hurt yourself. Plus you won’t get it off. It’s a creation of Clayton’s. He has a technopath quirk.” They walked out after that.

       “Wait! This is wrong! Please!” I started too slightly panic. I grabbed the bars as I heard the lock click shut on the door. I looked around and ran to the windows. I tried to open them and they didn’t budge. I tried hitting them but nothing. I backed up and tripped over the mattress on the floor and fell on top of it. My breathing was ragged. “Shit.”

       ~Time Skip-A Few Days Later~

       “You need to eat. You’ll get sick if you don’t.” Oma whined while standing at the bars. I looked at the plate of food that sat on the floor before looking up at her. I turned away and looked out the window. I sat up on the bay window seat, barely reacting to her. “Hmph. Clayton!”

       “Coming!” I heard from somewhere in the apartment. I rolled my eyes and looked towards the door. “What is it, dear?”

       “She won’t eat.” Oma pouted. Clayton looked at me, down at the food, than at me again. His face morphed into one of anger and action. He reached into his pocket for the keys. I immediately straightened.

       “Behave.” He warned. The gate opened and I waited. I am a Pro after all. This is nothing I haven’t gone through before. He stepped in closing the gate behind him but not locking it. I kept my eyes locked on him. He stepped forward away from the gate and I made my move.

       “Clayton!” Oma squealed. I got right up on him and punched him in the face. He didn’t go down on the first hit but I stomped on his foot before high kicking him across the face. He went down and I bolted out the door. I ran through the apartment.

       “Get back here, Y/N.” Clayton yelled. I turned a corner stopped and looked around. I saw the door and went for it. Before I could get there, I was tackled from the side. We hit the ground hard. I struggled against who I figure was Clayton and got up. I got dizzy for a second long enough that he hit me in the back of my head.

       “Clayton! Not to hard!” Oma yelled. I held my head while on my knees. I was picked up around the waist and thrown over his shoulder. I struggled against him and hit him in the back with my hands clasped together into a fist. He gasped, losing air from his lungs and collapses to his knees.

       “Ah!” I fly back onto my back, hitting my head off the ground. Black spot littered my vision.

       “Get the vile! Oma!” Clayton gasped, climbing on top of me and pinning me down. I ripped my wrists free and grabbed his throat. He grabbed my wrist as I squeezed tight. I saw fear flash through his eyes. “I can see why your one of the top heroes. You are resilient. But so am it.”

       “What?” Next thing I knew Oma was there to and pouring something into my mouth. She covered my mouth so I couldn’t spit it out. Whatever it was that she gave me worked quickly. My grip on Clayton’s throat loosened. He immediately reacted and getting me back to the cage.

       “I told you to behave. Now you have to be punished.” He set me down on the bed and pulled a chain out of somewhere. He attached it to the collar.

       “No.” I whimpered throwing my arm out at him. He caught it and shook his head.

       “She really is a Pro Hero in entirety.” Oma praised from the outside. I looked over at her. She was all excited. Clayton walked back out.

       “A Pro, yes. How am supposed to be the Pro you love so much if…” I sat up and yanked on the chain. “You have me locked up here!” I exclaimed.

       “Oh don’t worry. You’ll get back to being a Pro, just as soon as we can trust you to come back after every day of work. You’ll love it as soon as you accept us.”

       “No I live with Ba…”

       “With us!!” Clayton yelled. I shut my mouth, fear tracking up my spine. They leave me alone after that and my body gets heavier and heavier. I start crying, barely being able to curl into a ball.

       “Katsuki…Izuku…please fine me.” I whimpered before the drug knocked me out.

       ~Time Skip-A Full Month Later~

       I stopped reacting and fighting after about 2 weeks. I couldn’t get out by force and strength. So I started complying a little more each day to try and gain their trust enough. They had taken off the chain about a week ago and Clayton wasn’t as wary anymore. I had just finished eating about 10 minutes ago and I knew that the food was drugged.

       “Now.” I told myself. I got up and picked the lock with a metal nail file Oma had given me. I quietly opened the gate and moved to the door. I did the same with the door. I listened in the hall to try and pinpoint where they were at. In their bedroom. I crept down the hallway and into the living room. I’m glad the drug they gave me is a slow acting one. I got to the front door and opened it just as the first wave of dizziness hit. I hit the door frame.

       “What was that?” I heard Clayton faintly say.

       “Shit.” I shook my head clear and ran for the stairwell.

       “She’s out! Come on.” I reached the stairwell and looked down. The middle was wide and open. “Y/N!” I turned and saw them running towards me. I smiled and wave before jumping over the railing. I landed easily and ran for the exit. I ran into and the street.

       “Where…” I spun around gathering my bearings. I heard explosions nearby, familiar explosions. I smiled and ran. I heard Oma and Clayton yelling at me down the street.

       I got a couple of blocks before another wave of dizziness hit. I stumbled before catching myself and looking up. I figure in black and orange caught my eye. I looked closer and saw Katsuki.

       “Bakugo!” I screamed. I saw him turn in my direction but I was grabbed and drug to the side into an ally. I fought against Clayton and Oma as they drug me further down the ally. I could feel the drug kicking in full swing almost.

       “Shut up you stupid bitch.” Clayton growled in my ear. He had pulled back against his chest and a hand over my mouth. A sets of explosions alerted me that Katsuki had propelled himself from the roof towards the ground.

       “Please be quiet.” Oma asked. I struggled and watched the end of the ally. I finally saw Kat walk into view. I struggled more and finally got my mouth free.

       “Katsuki!” I screamed. I saw him whip around and look into the ally. I was turned around and hit in the side of the head. They tried to pull me away from the scene but an angry voice echoing through the ally stopped them.

       “Hey!” The two looked at him and fear filled their eyes. I turned and saw Kat with his hand outstretched, sparks emitting from his palm. “I suggest you let them go and back up. I won’t ask you twice.” He growls.

       “Ah!” They let me go and I collapse under my own weight. Kat walks up to me, hand still outstretched but not sparking. He kneels down up close to me and I hear him speak into his comms.

       “Hey Deku, get down to the ally by the blue apartment building.” He paused for a second eyes still locked on the two. “Just do it Shitty nerd.” I grasped onto his arm that wasn’t outstretched and he wrapped it around me, pulling me into his chest.

       “Kat…” He finally looked down at me.

       “Are you alright, baby?” He asked in a soft voice. I stalled before shaking my head. He reached down and held my face making me look at him. “What is it?”

       “They drugged me.” He looked me in the eyes before growling and looking back up just before I heard a thud of someone landing near us.

       “What is the matter, Kacchan. Are you alr…” I heard Izuku’s voice.

       “Izu…” I whimpered and looked for him. He appeared next to us placing a hand on my face.

       “Puppy…oh my god.” I could see tears in his eyes. “You’re here. Kat found…Are you alright?” I shook my head.

       “They drugged her.” Kat growled. Izuku looked up at him before following his eyes to Oma and Clayton.

      “And kidnapped…” I trailed off, eyes growing heavy.

      “No we didn’t we! We gave you a new home. A better home than anywhere else. You ungrateful little…”

      “I suggest you don’t finish that sentence.” I heard Izuku growl this time. I opened my eyes to see his glowing green and his quirk starting to activate. He gets up and the two run. He goes after them as Kat moves and holds me tighter.

      “Kat…m’tired.” I said. I nuzzled my head into his neck. I stopped fighting the feeling and was quickly falling asleep.

      “I know. It’s okay. I’m right here and you’re safe now. I…we won’t let anything happen to you again.” I hummed and held onto and fell asleep.

~Time Skip-A Few Hours Later~

       I felt heavy as I woke up. This time I felt and smelt the familiarity of my own bed, well Kat’s, Izu’s, and mine’s bed. I could smell both of them on the blankets that I pulled them tighter around me. I slowly sat up and smiled at the room around me. Seeing Izu’s and Kat’s clothes strung in different places giving me comfort.

       “Thank you Recovery Girl. Aizawa.” I heard Izuku speak from the other room.

       “Of course.” I heard Recovery Girl return.

       “I am glad you found her. I hope you can find a way to get that collar off safely. If not, I suggest giving Hatsume a call.” Aizawa advised.

       “We will. Thanks.” Kat said before I heard the door close.

       “Kat? Izu?” I called out. I heard shuffling and a couple of things fall followed by a few curses before they made it into the room. They stumbled in the door. I laughed at them. The two top heroes who are known for being the most balanced and stable are tripping over themselves.

       “You’re awake.” Izu said hopping over. He sat next to me and hugged me around the shoulders. I felt Kat sit down and curl into my lap. He wrapped his arms around my waist, nuzzling his head into my stomach. I set my hand in his hair while the other held Izuku’s shoulder.

        “I’m alright, guys. I promise.” I whispered. They both hugged me tighter. “Guys I need to breathe.”

        “Sorry.” Kat said into my stomach. I giggled before they moved off me. Kat sat up and looked at me. He leant forward and kissed me gently. I kissed him back earnestly. We pulled away when Izuku whined. I smiled and kissed him too. “Alright. Let’s try and get this thing off of ya.”

        “Right.” I reached up and touched the collar. Kat moved behind me and started messing with collar.

        “Damn, where the hell did they get his thing?”

        “The guy made it. He has a technopath quirk.”

        “My poor puppy. How long did they have this quirk cancelling collar on?” Izuku sat in front of me, holding my hands.

        “The entire time.” I said. Kat’s hands paused behind me. They moved to my shoulders. He pulled me back into his chest wrapping his arms around me. He set his chin on my shoulder. Izuku set his forehead on my other shoulder.

        “We were so scared we had lost you for good.” Kat whispered in my ear. I bit my lip as he tightened his grip. We sat in silence for a few minutes. That was until my stomach decided to growl. “Haha. Are you hungry? I’ll go make you something.” They both moved back a bit so Kat could get off the bed. “Anything in particular you want?”

        “Anything not laced with sedatives and other drugs.” I said. They both stilled and looked at me sadly. “Sorry.” I looked down at my hands in my lap. Arms wrapped around me and pulled me into a chest. I cuddled into Izuku. I felt a tender kiss on my head and knew it was Kat before he walked out of the room.

       “Come on. How about we go sit in the living room?” I nodded and he picked me up bridal style. He set me down on the chaise of the couch and sat behind me, taking his shot at the collar. A heavenly smell came from the kitchen area and I looked over and Kat hard at work.

       “Ow.” I said when Izuku caught some hair.

       “Sorry.” I went back to watching Kat work in the kitchen. Watched the muscles of his back move under his shirt. Watched how he moved effortlessly around. Watching all the little things that made me fall for him. I frowned at the thought that there was a chance I would have never seen them again. I grabbed Izuku’s hand from the back of my neck and turned to him. “Huh?” He looked at me confused.

        “I just…” I looked him over too. Watched as his eyes scanned over my in love and worry. Watched him swallow. Watched his chest rise and fall under his shirt. And all the little things for him too. I felt the tears bubble up fast. Reality hitting me hard. I sobbed out loud collapsing into his chest.

        “Y/N!” He held me close as I cried. I felt him immediately start rubbing my back. I heard a clang from the kitchen then running footsteps. I felt another set of hands on my back.

        “Y/N, baby. We’re right here.” Kat comforted me. They both cuddled up to me, just holding me while I cried. Izuku was rubbing my hips and Kat was rubbing my back and playing with my hair. We sat there for about half an hour before I calmed down. “Are you alright?”

        “Yeah.” I whispered. Light kissed littered the back of my neck and my face. Kat got up and I reached out for him.

        “I’ll be right back. I promise.” He ran a hand through my hair. I grab onto Izu again.

        “Everything’s alright. You’re safe. I promise.” He whispered into my ear. He pulled me tighter to him before I finally stopped crying. I sat up and Izu handed me a box of tissues. Kat came back in that moment with three plates. He set them down and hurried back to the kitchen before returning quickly.

        “Let me clean your face up.” He said gently. I lifted my head and he gently cleaned of the tears and snot. He set the rag aside and sat down next to us and handing us the plates.

       We ate in comfortable silence until Izu pulled me close to work on the collar again. I could tell he was thinking hard because he started muttering. I shared an amused look with Kat before a green spark caught my attention and then the collar fell in my lap.

       “Ah haha ha ha! Yes!” Izuku cheered. I immediately reached up to rub my neck. I sighed in relief, leaning back into his chest. Kat picked up the collar and looked it over. I raised my hand and formed a ball of light that swirled with eager. I deactivated it and looked at my boys. They were looking at me joy.

       “That feels better.”

       “I bet. I hate these things.” Kat said before leaning over and setting the collar on the coffee table. “I’ll take this into the agency tomorrow to have them analyze it.” He settled back into the couch. It started getting dark outside and I could tell the boys were getting tired.

       “How about we go to bed?” I asked standing up. They both smiled up at me. “We’ve all had a long, long day and I want to cuddle with my two boys in my bed.”

       “Can’t argue with that.” Kat smirk before shooting up and lifting me into his arms. He walked us to the bedroom with Izu following like a puppy. We all three settled down into the bed, Kat in front of me and Izu behind. I sighed once I got comfortable. I subconsciously gripped onto both of them tight.

       “We’re not going anywhere, puppy. You’re not going anywhere.”

       “I know, I just…I am afraid this is a dream and I am going to wake up and be back there. I feel like this will be a drug induced dream and I will be disappointed when I wake up.”

       “Sh.” Kat calmed me and kissed my forehead. He ran hand through my hair while Izu rubbed circles into my hips. “I promise you’re safe. You’re home, with us, in our arms and no one is going to take you away from us again.” He said stern but with soft eyes.

       “When you wake up in the morning, we will be here.” Izu nuzzled into my neck, arms set firmly around my tummy. Kat reached over and pulled both of us close and starting humming. I slowly fell into a peaceful sleep for the first time in a while.

May I request hcs for aizawa, hizashi and midoriya with an s/o that is really calm and chill but she actually has a bit of social anxiety but the guys don't really know (besides seeing that she doesn't like hanging out in big get togethers) until one day they go shopping with their s/o and notice their hand trembling slightly as they pay for the stuff and then actually kinda nervous in the crowds of people as they walk (kinda me cuz I literally go into panic mode when I have to buy something..)

Poor deluded person if you think that they would not realize it, that is, maybe the one who does not realize it at first is Present Mic and I am honestly doubting it a lot because these three characters have an ability to perceive the emotions of other people, especially if that person is important and even more if that person is beloved, you cannot imagine, so there will be some changes in this answer

Hizashi Yamada/Present Mic with a s/o that is really calm and chill but she actually has a bit of social anxiety

• Ok, let's start with who I think, of the three, would take the longest to realize

• And I still think that it would not be very possible, after all, I think that Present Mic has great emotional intelligence and that he could easily tell if his s/o has social anxiety

• even if we say she would be fooled by the fact that she always seems very calm, without getting anxious, at least she doesn't look like, and without looking stressed

• Although the fact that she was always rejecting his invitations to go with him to his studio on the radio or to the galas, it would also raise suspicions, right? it's sus my dude 

• So when he was accompanying her and notice how her hands are shaking and how nervous she becomes when shopping, he would quickly try to become the center of attention to prevent s/o from being the focus of attention and make her relax a bit

• something that he would easily achieve since, as we can see in the series, he is very extravagant

• He could also help her by doing the shopping for her, but I honestly believe that someone like Hizashi would like his s/o to be a little more independent and thus gradually overcome his fears

• of course unless she starts having an anxiety attack, and if that happens I think he would take matters into his own hands, do the shopping himself and take her home as quickly as possible while he whispers in her ear comforting words

• After he's calmed her down I honestly think he would search the internet or ask other fellow pro heroes for ways to help his s/o

Midoriya Izuku/Deku with a s/o that is really calm and chill but she actually has a bit of social anxiety

• Let's be honest, with this person it is impossible he not realizing the social anxiety that his s/o has

• Please, he is literally like a stalker with each and every one of his colleagues or person who has a quirk, interesting or not 

• Do you seriously think that you shouldn't have like 25 or more written notebooks dedicated exclusively to finding out new things about his s/o

• The fact that you seem calm will not deceive him, he will be many things, but he is not an idiot, nor a clueless one

• Already making it clear that Midoriya knows about his s/o's social anxiety, even before they form a relationship, he would do everything possible to find ways that his partner manages to overcome those fears

• I'm sure he has a great internet track record on trying to help people with social anxiety

• If that did not work, he would accompany her to all public places and would always be holding her s/o's hand to squeeze it as a symbol of moral support

• Although we must not forget that he is also another shy person so now they have two with social anxiety, it will be nice to see how he will have his whole face  red as a tomato while they try to attract people's attention so that she does not get anxious

Aizawa Shouta/Eraserhead with a s/o that is really calm and chill but she actually has a bit of social anxiety

• This is another of those who are very observant with the people around him, much more if that person would be his partner, therefore, I say that he would know in advance about her anxiety

• Of course, it took him a little longer since her laid back looks that outwardly seemed calm could mislead him a bit

• but not for long, as I told you he is very observant

• being honest I think that, of the three, he is the one who would first make her seek professional help because that is definitely affecting her life in a negative way

• the least Aizawa wants is for it to affect in a way that does not make her happy in her s/o's life

• so Shouta would accompany you on your psychological appointments to discover what makes you anxious and would help her, he will be with her step by step throughout the process until she feels better

• And as she improves he will be there by her side helping her, whether he has to intervene when she feels overloaded, take action and do the shopping himself or simply be close to her to make her feel safe and can get things done by herself, Aizawa will never leave her alone

Not Scared of You, but Scared-Midoriya

+Everyone knows how Midoriya is a sweet little puppy most of the time. But most know that he can get scary when he is angry, prime example: UA Sports Festival. One person he has never let his anger out around directly is Y/N. One day, she witnesses it first hand and Midoriya doesn’t realize until later.

Laughter filled the common room as Sero and Jiro were done with a karaoke performace. Jiro was good as always but Sero was messing up on purpose. Kaminari was laughing so hard I thought he was going to short circuit. Even Bakugo was smiling a bit.

“Alright, alright. Okay whose next?” Mina got up and aske. I finally caught my breath and turned to look at Midoriya behind me. I was sitting on the floor in front of him. He had his head propped up on his arm, staring off into space.

“Hey, you okay?” I asked. He took a bit to answer but only gave me a questioning hum as a response. He lifted his head to look at me. I turned around completely laying my arms across his lap before reaching up to trace the side of his face. He closed his eyes, pressing into my fingertips ever so slightly. “You okay there, honey?’”

“Yeah I’m fine.” He whispers, kissing my fingertips before looking away again. I cocked my head to the side in wonder. He normally never acts like this, at all. I set my head against his knee and stared up at him. I saw his eyes look at me for a second before his hand went to my hair and began running through it.

“L/N, how about youuuu… Nope, you’re busy. Moving on.” Mina called for me but decided against it. I closed my eyes and relaxed, enjoying the soft moment.

“Oi!” Bakugo yelled out in his usual annoyed tone. I inwardly groaned. “This is getting boring and a little annoying.” Everyone started to whine, saying they were having fun and that he was a party pooper. “Oh, can it you…”

“Oh will you give it a rest Kacchan. Everyone else is having fun so if you’re bored, go ahead and find something to do on your own. There’s the door or elevator.” The whole room went quiet. I looked up at Midoriya surprise.

“Baby…”

“What did you say to me you Shitty Deku?!” Bakugo was on his feet in less the than a second. Midoriya’s hand stilled in my hair. I saw anger flare in his eyes even though he didn’t make a move to look at Bakugo.

“I said there’s the door.” He repeated. My worry from earlier tripled. I looked back at Bakugo seeing him seething.

“Listen here you shitty nerd, I don’t know what got you all brave and shit but I ain’t having it. You don’t call the shot around here.”

“And neither do you Kacchan!” Midoriya was up on his feet in an instant. I jumped back as fast as I could but tumbled a little. Hands caught me as I nearly fell back. I looked up to see Kiri and he pulled me back more, away from the two.

“Bros, how about we calm this down a notch?” He tried but the two ignored him. They continued to argue, getting louder and louder. I knew Midoriya could get mad from stories the others told me but I had never seen it firsthand. They were right when they said it rivaled Bakugo’s.

“You know what Bakugo, I can’t stand you right now. I just want to…I’m gonna…”

“What Deku? You’re going to do what?” Bakugo yelled back crossing his arms over his chest. He was smirking, thinking he caught Midoriya in a bluff.

“Midoriya, baby. I think you need to cool off.” I tried, getting on my knees to reach forward and grab his hand. He exploded in that moment.

“No!” He flung his hands out. I jumped back to avoid being hit. I landed against Tsuyu, who pulled me into her side. Midoriya blew up, ranting about I don’t even know what anymore. I was so blindsided by the shock that I stopped listening. I only came back to when Tsuyu, Uraraka, and Kiri were trying to get my attention.

“What?” I asked looking around. Midoriya was gone but Bakugo was still there, quietly seething but when he looked at me, I saw a slight bit of worry in his eyes.

“Are you okay?” Uraraka asked.

“Yeah, you seemed to zone out there for a few minutes.” Kiri said, brushing hair out of my face and checked me over.

“Yeah, yeah. I just was…surprised. I have never seen him act like that.” My voice got quieter as I finished my sentence. I stood up and brushed off me pants. “Where did he go?”

“Out for a run.” Tsuyu told me.

“But you better give him time to cool off.” Bakugo chimed in, surprising me. “He is really riled.” He said before turning to leave in the elevators. The whole mood had shifted drastically in the room.

“I think I am going to go to bed.” I said softly before leaving the room without another word. I got up to the 4th floor and began to walk to my room.

“Hey.” I stopped and saw Bakugo. I looked at him in question.

“What are you doing here? In the girls wing?”

“I wanted to tell you that Deku…ahhh!” He huffed before looking at me intently. “Have you ever wondered why you never saw him angry before? No? Well it’s because he never wanted you too! He was always pretty good at keeping you away from him when he is angry but I don’t know what was up with him tonight. He seemed to forget that or something.”

“Yeah.” I looked down at the ground.

“Don’t let it bother you or whatever. He’ll always be the same shitty Deku.” He grumbled before leaving. I sighed before walking into my room. I didn’t turn on the lights, letting my teal string lights glow lead my way to the bed. I plopped down, throwing my arm over my eyes.

“What in the world…” I whispered before getting under the covers and drifting off.

*Next Day*

“And you have to basically read between the lines, Kaminari.” I explained while reading over the part of the homework he was having trouble with.

“Why does English have to be so hard?” He groaned. I chuckled but shrugged. “But I have to admit, you helping me is better than when Baku helps. He normally is hitting me over the head within the first few minutes.”

“Oh, do you think it will help?” I rolled up my magazine. He yelped and dramatically held up his arms. We both started laughing.

“Hey darling.” I heard Midoriya say behind me before kissing my cheek. I jumped and looked at him before down at the table.

“Hi baby.” He hummed and walked over to speak with Iida. I could feel Kami’s eyes on me.

“Are you that shaken up over last night?” He asked softly. I looked at him before looking back at his work. “You nearly jumped mile…”

“Kami.” I looked up at him. He looked at me with sympathy before nodding. He turned back to his book. Bakugo plopped down on the other side of Kami with his own homework. He looked at me before at Midoriya. He raised an eyebrow in question. I just looked back the magazine. He sighed.

A little while later, the two boys left to go do some training. I had switched to reading a book as other’s left the room to do their own things. I didn’t realize how many people had left until I felt someone sit next to me. I looked up to see Midoriya. He was smiling at me. I gave him a smile back.

“Good book?” He asked. I nodded, sitting up slowly. I marked my place and set it aside. I set my hands in my lap.

“How was your day?” I asked. He smiled wide.

“Better than yesterday for sure.” He chirped. “Todoroki and I trained early this morning before he insisted on us going and getting Soba for the umpteenth time this week. Before we came back to relax for the day.” He cheerfully explained. “But then Mineta of course came along but we went whoop and…” He threw his arm out in front of him as he raised his voice. I flinched slightly and he noticed immediately, freezing. “Darling? Are you okay?”

“Y-yeah, I’m fine.” I said while grounding myself. His eyes looked me over before looking at his raised arms and back. His eyes glazed over for a second before they began to glisten with tears.

“You’re scared of me.” He said simply, lowering his arms into his lap. “Because of last night.”

“Midoriya, baby.” I started but he stood up.

“I’m such an idiot. I never wanted you to see me like that.” He wrung his hands through his hair roughly. “I scared you. You’re scared of me. I, I, I…”

“No, no. I was just spooked…shocked.” I said getting up. He shook his head before looking at me. He had tears running down his face. I went to say something but he ran off before I could. “Midoriya!” He ran out of the dorms.

“What’s wrong, L/N?” Uraraka came up running up with Iida.

“He ran off because he thinks I’m scared of him. After last night.” I said strained. “I was just spooked. I had never seen him like that, it’s new. Strange but I’m not scared!! I’m concerned!” I stopped in my tracks. “I’m not scared.” I said more to myself.

“L/N?” Iida called to me.

“I have to go.” I said taking off after Midoriya. I ran down the sidewalks, hunting for my missing boyfriend. I ran past classmates, asking if they had seen him. A couple had seen him but not sure where he went. I was getting really worried when Bakugo came running up.

“What happened?” He asked, breathing heavy. “Did he find out your reaction to him? That you’re scared?”

“I’m not scared Bakugo. I’m concerned. Worried. Something is wrong and that’s what made him blow up last night. You only ignited the fuse which you are very good at doing by the way.” I sassed. His eyes narrowed.

“Why you…” He stopped himself before he looked at me again. “Come on, I know where he went.” He said before grabbing my hand and pulling me along. He ran us out of the school grounds and down the street. We ran for a while before we came across a piece of shore line. “He’ll be down on the beach.”

“Thanks Bakugo.” I said before running off.

“Whatever!” He yelled. I ran down the steps and into the sand. I looked around for my green haired boyfriend overlooking the water. I caught sight of him on the rocks. I ran, slipping in the sand. I got to the rocks and clambered up them.

“Midoriya!” I called out to him. He whipped around. He tried to get up but I was on him, hugging him from behind. “Please don’t run from me Izuku.” I whispered into the back of his neck. He was tense in my arms.

“But I scared you.” He whimpered. “I promised I would never…”

“You didn’t scare me Izuku.” I said. I felt him shake. “Okay, I was scared in the moment because it was new. You didn’t scare me, the situation scared me. I was, no am more concerned for you. You were off last night before it happened and then you blew up.”

“I know.”

“I promise, I’m not scared of you. I am just worried.” I moved to sit next to him, my back to the water. “What’s wrong?”

“Noth…” He cut short at my stare. “Alright, alright. I am just stressed and tired and I don’t even know what else. I am just…” He dropped his head in his hands. I could hear him sniffling. I reached up and pulled his head up. I rubbed my thumbs over his cheeks.

“Come here.” I said. He latched onto me in the next second, crying into my shoulder. “You’re pushing yourself to hard, Izuku. I have never seen you so out of it like you were last night. I know you fight with Bakugo a lot but that was something else entirely. You need to slow down. Please.”

“I know. I will, I promise.” He whimpered. I started humming some random song to calm him down. After a few minutes he had finally stopped crying. In the time, he had curled into a ball in my lap. He looked up at me with watery eyes and a small smile. “How did you find me, by the way?”

“Just a friend giving me a tip and a direction to go.” I said while running my finger through his curls. I felt him relax in my lap. We just sat there for a while listening to the waves, the birds, and each other’s breathing. At some point we adjusted to where we were cuddling.

“It was Kacchan, wasn’t it?” He said suddenly causing me to laugh. “It was, wasn’t it?! Haha, I knew he cared!” He cheered, fist pumping the air. I laughed at my boy as he did a happy dance. I just shook my head as he turned back into his normal self.

it starts with a notebook - a worn, dog-earned, well-thumbed little thing midoriya kept in his back pocket, pencil tucked behind his ear.

you'd watched, politely bemused, as he produced the thing from seemingly nowhere halfway through a class exercise and began scribbling down all of tsuyu's admittedly impressive newly-honed abilities with something like fervour, eyes flying across the page as he wrote faster than you could've believed possible.

when you asked him about it after class, he jumped. you hadn't talked to him much at that point, not beyond the cordial "hello" and "do you have a spare pen?" exchanged in classrooms. you half expected him to clam up and refuse to show you - but, as you would see become a trend in izuku midoriya, he surprised you. in fact, the smile that tugged at his face when you asked about the notebook was something akin to eager - it was as if you'd lit a flame behind his eyes, shining as he flicked through the pages at a frenzied pace that had you smiling bemusedly.

he showed you the page spreads for uraraka, iida, ojiro, yaoyorozu. he had four pages apiece for both bakugo and todoroki, which he flipped past with something like embarrassment.

"d'you have a page for me?" you asked absently. he went slightly pink.

"of course i do! i - i mean you're quirk is so cool!" he said quite earnestly. his voice caught - like he was nervous, but some childish excitement had him pushing through, mouth running at a hundred miles an hour whilst his cheeks grew steadily darker. "i've always wanted to ask you about it, actually, but i thought you might ... find it kind of irritating."

you laughed; midoriya winced, an apology on his lips, but realised a moment later there was nothing malicious in it. "i don't mind. show me my page and fire away."

he beamed; it was an expression that, for some reason, caught you off-guard that first time. midoriya wasn't shy with his smiles, really - he was quick to laugh and quick to embarrass, and he always got this adorable bashful grin on his face as he hid behind his hands. but you'd never really seen it directed at you before, and quite suddenly it was like letting the sunlight into a dark room, igniting you both in a golden glow that made his hair become something almost molten, almost copper, and his eyes shine like something incomprehensibly precious.

midoriya showed you your two pages; the notes were clinical and a little more threadbare than the others', but what really caught your eye were the drawings. they were basic, true, but - maybe it was because he'd never gotten close enough to see properly, so the only time he could sketch you was when you were mid-action, muscles singing and sweat beading at your brow, arms stretched taught and legs bent to spring, but there was something so alive about the pale black-and-white rough sketches in front of you. small annotations pointed to different parts of your costume, pointing out the purpose, most of which was guesswork.

midoriya looked on shyly, waiting in quiet apprehension for your approval. your face gave nothing away.

"you're very talented," was what you chose to break the silence with; evidently, whatever midoriya had been expecting you to say, it wasn't that. he choked on his own breath, blinked rapidly, eyes darting from you, to the book, and back to you as if to check you weren't joking. your fingers reached out, tracing the leaden outline of yourself delicately, noting with something like awe the determined look in your graphite eyes and wondering how his shaking fingers had captured you so well.

you looked back up at him; the sun was setting outside the windows, soaking the corridor in gold; in the burnished light, midoriya looked straight back at you, a slight flush on the plump apples of his cheeks, his eyes wide in their surprise and something uniquely beautiful (had you really once thought they were simply green?), his mouth slightly parted like there were a thousand words he wished to say balancing on the tip of his tongue - and when none came forth, you thought about how izuku midoriya might look committed to page; in pencil, in ink, in charcoal, in acrylic. you thought of the gentle slopes of his jaw, the roundness of his cheeks, the circlets of his wide eyes and delicate swooping lashes; the smattering of freckles fanning from the bridge of his snub nose outward, and the explosion of hair that framed the whole thing.

your own sketchpad seemed to burn in your bag, and you suddenly found your fingers itching for a pencil.

as the semester wears on, things start to change.

you begin sitting with midoriya and his friends, for one. if they are uncertain of you at first - true, you do come across a little quiet and awkward, and one could even mistake your reserved demeanour for unfriendliness - they are remarkably silent about it. iida welcomes you to their table with all the vigour you'd come to expect from the class president, uraraka gives one of her bright, genial smiles and offers you half of her already meagre lunch, which you quickly decline. and midoriya -

shoves his notebook deep into his bag, face hidden as he turns away to do so - though you can see the peaks of his ears are a brilliant red, and when he resurfaces he doesn't quite make eye contact when he smiles at you.

you don't think much of it. he probably wasn't actually expecting you to take him up on his offer to sit with him at lunch.

that same lunch, midoriya accidentally grips his water bottle too hard mid-rant and squeezes it all over himself. as the rest of you howl with laughter, you tearfully commit the memory of his scrunched face, dripping hair and soaked shirt collar, and in the evening when your door is safely shut, it comes alive again in your sketchpad. you trace over crevices in his skin, lines and creases you didn't realise he had - the scrunch between his brows as he frowns, the crow's feet when his eyes clench shut, his mouth a tiny 'o' of shock.

you wonder if midoriya knows just how pretty he is. from what you've seen in the short time you've known him, he doesn't seem to have particularly high self-esteem; he often retreats into himself if he senses he's becoming too loud or has talked for too long, with the same knee-jerk reaction of a parent catching their kid running carelessly into the road, sharp and vaguely panicked.

it's as though he's afraid of taking up the very space he occupies. maybe that's why, when you draw him, he fills up every blank centimeter of the page, in smudges, messy charcoal or vibrant watercolour, greens and pinks and browns.

you draw the others, too - uraraka in the sky, her hair afloat, smile as bright as the stars, and iida running on water, legs stretched and shining with effort, and todoroki engulfed in fire and ice, eyes burning out from the darkness that meets them in the middle, bicoloured and bright. but it's midoriya your pencils are most familiar with - leaning out the windowsill with an entranced smile on his face, bathed in the sunset when you walk to the bus station together, asleep on the train with his cheek smushed cutely against the glass.

as much as you enjoy drawing him, though - izuku midoriya isn't made to be static on a page, composed of lines and scribbles. he's a flurry of bright, nervous energy - his endless rambles you could quite honestly listen to for hours and the way his hands flail like a distressed octopus as he talks, the way he moves through a battlefields in a way that's undeniably graceful as his limbs spark green and dangerous, the minute trembling of his hands as a result of his quirk that often means you take pity on him and tie his shoelaces for him.

this day is strange.

it starts when half the class throw you curious looks when you step through the door after first break - but you almost don't notice as you slump down at your desk, fatigued. it's because of this foggy tiredness that you also don't notice that midoriya doesn't grin and wave to you like he normally does in class, even if you'd spent last period together too. you don't notice that he sees you in the doorway and quickly looks back down at his book, trying to bottle back the ugly feeling welling inside him, and the sympathetic looks iida and uraraka exchange behind his back.

what you do notice, however, is that after school when the five of you are methodically pouring over present mic's homework for that week together, midoriya doesn't take his usual seat at your side. instead he plants himself by todoroki, who blinks at him in quiet perplexity.

you notice that he doesn't look at you - or when he does, it's guilty and over too fast, turning away like your gaze burns and he's been caught doing something he shouldn't. you notice that, when you stumble on your english tenses, he quietly corrects you without any of the enthusiasm he usually does, no offering to walk you through it if you're still struggling later. he's quiet, withdrawn, almost sullen in his demeanor, hardly speaking to anyone.

"are you feeling alright, midoriya?" you ask worriedly as you two head up the stairs to your respective dorms; he walks slightly ahead, and the distance isn't lost on you. nor is the way he twitches away in alarm when your hand goes up to rest against his forehead, checking for a temperature. your arm falters in between you, unsure, and quiet embarrassment fills your stomach.

"i'm fine!" he says, a little too brightly, like he's trying to fill the silence he's created with his quiet words and the way he hunches into his clothes. you're reminded of a sketch erased, only the faintest, blurriest lines remaining, barely there on the ruined canvas. "a little tired. i'm, um, gonna go to bed early, i think."

"oh." hurt punches through you quite suddenly. "you don't want to hang out in my room like we usually do? i found this really cool documentary on quirk singularity points i thought you'd find interesting ..."

midoriya looks tortured. there's no better word for it; his eyebrows furrow together and his eyes clench shut, and he looks for all the world like the words he's choking up come up with bile and acid that burns sores on his throat. "oh, that sounds - um, maybe another time? sorry, i'm sorry, i'm just really tired."

"oh, okay." you bite your lip, pathetically stung at his obvious avoidance. had you done something wrong? graphite stains your fingers like blood. "see you tomorrow then?"

he's already halfway up the stairs. "goodnight!" he calls halfheartedly, and a moment later, the door swings shut. slightly dazed and frowning, you make your way back to the common area. uraraka and iida shrug uneasily when you ask them if they know what's wrong with midoriya in a manner that suggests they know exactly what's wrong.

your eyes smart like a toddler. oh. so this was exclusion. the realisation stings even though it shouldn't, what were you expecting really - yes, midoriya is nice, it's what you like about him. maybe too nice. nice enough to invite you to sit at lunch but not aware you'd actually do it. nice enough to let you hang around him like some clingy insect catching at his clothes. nice enough to not tell you what he really thinks, that you're annoying and rude and you really should know when you're unwanted.

"fine," you mutter, and stomp over to the couch. there, you curl up and tuck your head onto the armrest, blearily watching jirou attempt to teach hagakure the acoustic guitar until your eyes start to droop and the lump in your throat retreats.

"is it true?" ashido demands after an hour or so, throwing herself at where you sprawl, half-asleep. you start awake as she lands forcefully on you, a knee in your stomach.

"jesus - fuck!" you gasp out, eyes bugging; she clambers off you, apologising frantically and she grabs your shoulders.

"well? is it?"

"is - what true?" you wheeze. dear god, that girl is stronger than she looks. it's a struggle to stop your eyes from watering.

"that you're going on a date with some class b student tomorrow?"

that puts your agony briefly out of your mind; you gawk at ashido, who stares back at you just as urgently. seemingly taking your silence for assent, she wails, throwing herself on the couch.

"whaaa? we all totally thought you liked midoriya!" she pouts, limbs kicking dramatically.

"i - you - huh?" not your most eloquent sentence, really, but in your state of near-catatonic shock it's about the best you can dredge up.

"well, you're always hanging around him, and like, watching him write in his little notebook!" she rants, ticking points off on her fingers as your head spins. "and he always gets totally embarrassed whenever you touch him, and you're always staring at him like you're in love. and, oh my god, d'you remember that one time todoroki accidentally burned half your shirt off and midoriya actually fainted then and there? and the time -"

"ashido!" you cry, mortified. if someone cared to, you're sure they could just about fry an egg on your cheeks right now with the way they're burning. "that's - first of all, i'm not going on a date! where the hell did you hear that?"

ashido blinks golden eyes at you slowly. "uh, from some kids from support course in the corridor on the way to lunch. i swear they said your name!"

you shake your head furiously. "no, no, you must've heard wrong." realisation dawns on you, sudden and cold. "ashido - who did you tell about the date that isn't actually happening?"

is it your imagination, or do her cheeks darken? "well - i was with the others when i heard it, so they heard me screaming about it, i guess. and then i think kaminari told jirou, and she told momo, and then i think momo told todoroki who mentioned it to midoriya and the others, so ..."

you groan. "shit, ashido!"

"i'm sorry!" she cries, fisting her hair in her fists in anguish. "i should've known you're too in love with midoriya to be going out with someone else!"

"that - is - not - the point," you say through gritted teeth. before she can offer up a reply to that, you turn on your heel and bolt.

now it makes sense, the awkwardness from before. you recall the strange hurt that had punched you through the chest when midoriya dodged your hand and lied about going to bed - you'd known he was lying because he's a terrible liar, especially to you, he fidgets with his fingers and never looks you in the eye. you hurry up the stairs, not slowing until you get to his dorm and, not even pausing to text him and check he's awake - mostly because you have a sinking feeling he'd ignore you - hammer on the door.

"midoriya, it's me. open up!"

there's a shuffle from the behind the door, but nothing gives. frustrated, you punch at the wood with the side of your fist. "i can hear you moving!"

the door cracks open warily; from the semi-darkness, a timid pair of green eyes gaze out at you. "[surname]? i - "

"was just going to sleep?" you question, arching an eyebrow, and he ducks his head.

"sorry," he whispers. "do ... do you wanna come in?"

you swallow and nod, and he steps aside immediately and closes the door softly behind you. the room is illuminated by the red, blue and yellow stringlights wound over his headboard and the bluish glow of his laptop screen, open on the desk, casting floodlights on a notebook beneath it. as midoriya shuts the door, your eyes catch on the pencil lines, thick and bold and dark. momentarily forgetting your embarrassment, you make your way over curiously, and your breath catches in your throat.

it's not the notebook he brings to class, as you thought originally, though it's pocket-sized same as the other. but this one, spine bared where it lies open and vulnerable on the desk, is filled with sketches.

of you.

not just in your hero costume either. some if them aren't even your full face - just your eyes, crinkled like you're laughing, or the arch of your lips in a smile, the scrunch of your nose when you eat something sour. the silhouette of your side profile, gazing at something unseen in the middle distance, and sitting cross-legged on a clumsily-drawn chair, like all the detail has been afforded to the pencil between your teeth, the hair in your face, your uniform folding and creasing in the crooks of your limbs. there's every shine and every shadow in bold black and white before your eye, and the one in the corner is messier than the rest, like his hands were shaking as he sketched. your own face gazes out at you impassively from the paper, detached and cool, somewhere far away and unreachable.

when you glance up, midoriya is frozen in abject horror, mouth agape, eyes round as coins.

in the instant your eyes lock, he jumps forward, slams the notebook shut with both hands and brings it to his chest. "you - uh - this isn't ..."

he looks so humiliated that he's on the brink of tears; he's flushed a darker red than you've ever seen him, but it's not the sweet, bashful, spring-pink blush you've come to expect from him - it's angry and embarrassed, like he'd really rather be anywhere but here with you.

"crap," he whispers, voice catching. eyes swimming with tears, he ducks his head. "i'm sorry - it's not - i k - know what you're thinking, but it's not ..." he looks around helplessly, as if he's looking for the right words to say, and suddenly you can't stand it anymore.

"it's okay," you say, coaxingly, like speaking to a flighty animal. midoriya doesn't even look up, only squeezes his eyes shut and shakes his head. with trembling hands, you undo the drawstrings on your schoolbag and bring out your own sketchpad. to think you'd spent so long hiding these drawings, from midoriya especially, and now ...

you flip open the page and nudge the pad toward him silently.

you don't look, but you can hear his startled gasp as he realises what he's looking at. you hear the soft rustle as he slowly turns the pages, and the way his panicked breathing begins to even out and he soaks in every line, every curve, every dot, placed with care and precision.

can he see, you wonder absently in all of it, just how beautiful he is to you, now?

when midoriya hands the notebook back, the air seems to have cleared slightly. his grip on his own notebook has loosened, in any case, and your cheeks burn as you stuff your sketchpad back into your bag.

"do you think it's weird?" you ask, breaking the silence. midoriya shakes his head wildly, eyes wide.

"n - no! not at all! i mean, i never thought ... why - um, why me?"

no going back now, you suppose, and steel yourself. "because - i think you're pretty."

💤🎤-You didn’t want to make a fool of yourself if they took you somewhere fancy and you didn’t know which fork was the right one to eat with. Soon you were sat in a big red booth looking over the menu. 

💤🎤-“What do you usually get?” You asked, peering over the big menu to look at them. 

💤🎤-“I usually the deluxe cheeseburger with a side of fries. They have onion rings as well. They have a great dipping sauce here for them.” Zashi hummed, sipping on the cola the waiter had already brought over. 

💤🎤-You had a Sprite, Shota ordered a sweet tea. 

💤🎤-“That does sound good, I could go for some onion rings right now. And you?” You turned to the dark-haired male, his obsidian eyes met yours. 

💤🎤-“I usually get the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings. Zashi is right, the dipping sauce they make here is really good.” He agreed, leaning back in his booth and stretching. 

💤🎤-Shota was wearing a black turtleneck shirt with matching black jeans. Zashi was wearing a white band t-shirt with ripped jeans. It was not something you expected to see them wearing taking into account their wealth. 

💤🎤-You thought it was refreshing that they didn’t flaunt their money. 

💤🎤-“Mmm. The cheeseburger sounds good. I’ll get that and some onion rings.” You put the menu down and looked over at them. 

💤🎤-“So how are you guys doing?” You asked, taking a sip of your soda. 

💤🎤-“Work had me running wild this week. I do some of the designs for our company and things kept getting messed up and delayed.” Zashi sighed, rubbing his head. 

💤🎤-Shota scoffed, twirling his straw in his drink. 

💤🎤-“You only had so many problems because your office is a mess. I swear every time I go in there it is a even bigger mess.” He scolded, siding eyeing his blond mate. 

💤🎤-“It’s an organized mess! Just how I like it!” Zashi defended, moving his hands around to get his point across. 

💤🎤-You just smiled at their loving banter. They made a nice couple. Soon the waiter came by and took your orders. Even sooner a huge burger and pile of onion rings were sat down in front of you. 

💤🎤-Your eyes couldn’t have gotten any bigger. 

💤🎤-“You could have told me the serving sizes were huge! I don’t even know if I can finish half of this.” You gasped, looking at your mountain of onion rings. There had to a least be two full-sized onions on your plate for you to have that much. 

💤🎤-The burger had to be held up by a wooden stick so it didn’t collapse onto itself. 

💤🎤-Zashi had already taken a fry and started munching on it. His golden eyes taking in your shocked face. He suppressed a grin that wanted to crawl on his face. He imagined your bobcat making the same expression when you saw his form. 

💤🎤-You still didn’t know what type of shifter he was. 

💤🎤-“We already told you that you should be eating more. This seems like a lot but once you start eating it disappears fast. Even if you can’t eat it all, I am sure me and Zashi would be more than happy to finish off what you can’t.” Shota reassured, holding his big burger with two hands.  

💤🎤-You meekly nodded before picking up an onion ring. You bit into it with a crunch and it was like your plate was suddenly half empty. You were down half a burger and onion rings. 

💤🎤-Once again your eyes widened. 

💤🎤-“Sho, she is too cute. She reminds me of when I was a teen and my appetite had just started to pick up as well.” Zashi nudged his stoic mate. 

💤🎤-You had caught his words and lifted your head. 

💤🎤-“You both were born shifters right? What’s it like growing up? Do you have any pictures of when you were cubs? Oh, I bet you were adorable when you were little!” You excitedly rambled, already picturing Shota as a panther cub.  

💤🎤-Zashi’s mood immediately dampened, he scowled at his mate. Shota already knew why he was getting a dirty look from his mate. 

💤🎤-“I wouldn’t know. Sho refused to show me a picture of him as a cub. Even though I showed him a picture of me when I was a scrawny cub.” Zashi huffed, he reached over and stole an onion ring from his mate just to irritate him. 

💤🎤-He didn’t even like onion rings. 

💤🎤-“What is so important about seeing me as a cub? I don’t see a reason in showing you.” Shota rolled his eyes, letting his mate take more onion rings off his plate. 

💤🎤-“What’s the difference between a shifter and a turned one like me?” You asked, taking a sip of your Sprite. 

💤🎤-“There is not really much of a difference. We are born and can shift when we turn about eight or so. Since you are turned that is a bit different. Right now your bobcat is still in its early stages.” Zashi explained, taking on a serious tone. 

💤🎤-“It is a bit dangerous for someone to be turned. For one, not everyone who is bitten lives through the change. A lot of genetic makeup is twisted around so some people can’t handle that and die.” His golden eyes took on a metal-like coldness. 

💤🎤-His lion was unsettled at the thought of never meeting you if your body had not accepted the change. 

💤🎤-“Shifters are not supposed to turn humans because of the chance that they might die. You are only allowed to change someone when you are taking them as your mate.” He paused, looking over at you to see if you were understanding. 

💤🎤-Shota picked up from there. 

💤🎤-“Since Hizashi is already a shifter I didn’t need to do this but a shifter would have to bite their human mate in order to turn them. It is a bit more detailed but basically a mating bite is unique since has a zero percent chance of the person dying while their body undergoes the change.” Shota continued, eyeing his mate, love clear in his eyes. 

💤🎤-They still carried each others mating bites on their necks to show other shifters that they are mated. A little of their scent mingled in each others just to push their status as taken. 

💤🎤-“So I was bitten and since my body was about to handle the change I survived. What do you mean when you say my bobcat is still in its early stages?” You asked, putting your elbows on the table and leaning on your clasped hands.

💤🎤-“It basically means that your animal half is not fully mature yet. You seemed a bit on the smaller side when we found you so that is why we assumed you were a cub. Your mannerisms also led us to believe you were a lot younger than what you are.” Zashi answered, remembering the way you rubbed up against him without a second thought. 

💤🎤-He shuddered at the thought of you rubbing up against a bear shifter you just met. A certain temperamental blonde he knew would have eaten you for lunch. He shoved the image of your small cat standing under a big brown bear away. 

💤🎤-“Don’t worry, it doesn’t take too long for your animal to mature. With a bit of socializing with our animal halves and more experience shifting you should be well on your way to becoming a fierce female feline.” Shota acknowledged, swiping a fry from his mate’s plate. 

💤🎤-“Speaking of fierce female felines, we were planning to introduce you to a friend of ours. She is a panther shifter like Sho, she should be able to answer any questions we can’t when it comes to being a women shifter.” Zashi hummed, bring a napkin up to his face. 

💤🎤-Even though they had been talking they still had enough time to finish everything on their plates. You looked down at your plate. You ate way more than you thought you would but there was still a decent amount of onion rings on your plate. 

💤🎤-You would have asked for a to-go plate but they would lose their crunch by the time you went home. You slid your plate in Shota’s direction, he was more than happy to get to work on the plate. 

💤🎤-“So is that why you invited me out this weekend? So you can help me mature my bobcat?” You questioned, looking at Zashi. 

💤🎤-“For the most part, we knew that starting a new job can be stressful so we figured after your first week you could use a shift to release a bit of stress,” Zashi explained, pulling out his wallet. 

💤🎤-“Oh, that’s smart.” You agreed, reaching for your purse. “I’ll pay for my meal.” 

💤🎤-Shota had just polished off the last onion ring before cutting in. “Nonsense. We invited you out so we will pay. Plus this was to congratulate you on getting the job. It wouldn’t be right to make you pay.” 

💤🎤-You felt a little uneasy about having them pay but they had a point. You would treat them to something when you got the chance. Just because they had money didn’t mean they had to spend it on you. 

💤🎤-You would return the favor. 

💤🎤-After some light conversation and playful banter they dropped you off at your apartment. You had fun hanging out with them. They cleared up a few things which was nice. 

💤🎤-Now it was time to prepare for your first day at work.

💤🎤-In truth, you didn’t really think you would get a job that required formal wear. You had only seen a little bit of the building and workers when you had came in for your interview so you were unprepared for their fancy skirts and button-up shirts. 

💤🎤-You worked at the library in your old town so you had an abundance of soft sweaters and comfy slacks. You quickly realized you looked out of place among everyone else. 

💤🎤-You tried to keep your confidence up but it was quickly dwindling. 

💤🎤-Luckily, the lady at the front desk was waiting for your arrival and sent you on your way with directions as soon as you walked through the revolving glass door.  

💤🎤-Soon the elevator you were in opened up to the top floor. You didn’t see anyone at the front desk to greet you but then you remembered that would be your job. You saw two wooden doors behind your huge desk. 

💤🎤-You assumed Shota and Zashi were behind them. 

💤🎤-You sat your stuff down and walked over and knocked. An excited voice yelled to come in. You opened the door and tried not to gasp. Shota was right, Zashi’s office was a mess. 

💤🎤-You supposed it was your job to organize everything. You found a hyper blond drawing away on a digital art pad. The top portion of his long hair was pulled back with a clip while the rest flowed down his back. 

💤🎤-He wore deep emerald slacks with a half buttoned-up white shirt. He had a suit jacket to match his slacks but it was tossed over the leather chair he was sitting in. 

💤🎤-He looked up and smiled at your entrance. 

💤🎤-“Hi, Y/N! I am glad you found your way here just fine.” He grinned, setting aside his pad and pen. 

💤🎤-“The lady at the front desk told me where to go.” You said, shuffling around stacks of papers on the floor.  

💤🎤-“I’m sorry about the mess. I tried to clean some of it up before you got here but it seems to be a two-man job. Since our last assistant was more focused on Shota’s ass than doing her job my office got a little out of hand.” Zashi sheepishly explained, twirling his thumbs. 

💤🎤-His lion still wanted to claw the tall red-head apart. Never trust a tiger shifter. 

💤🎤-“It’s okay. You are paying me to work right.” You smiled, loving his shy expression. 

💤🎤-“Before you got started on my office lets get something from the break room. We have one to ourselves up here so don’t worry about being shy when taking the donuts.” He chuckled, leading you out of his office and down the hall into the break room. 

💤🎤-“Shota should be answering his emails right about now. I’ll show you how he likes his coffee so you can take it to him. You can never add enough sugar packets for him. The more the better.” He smirked, leading you to the expensive coffee machine.

💤🎤-The week had gone by before you knew it. Shota and Zashi were on their way to pick you up and take you to their cabin. You had asked them if they lived there since it was so far out of town but they said they had a house in town and just used the cabin when they wanted to shift and get away from the hustle and bustle. 

💤🎤-You were only staying for the weekend so you packed light. You were standing on the sidewalk outside your apartment complex with your overnight bag slung over your shoulder. 

💤🎤-You didn’t have to wait long before a familiar black car pulled up. You climbed in with a happy grin. You were excited to hang out with them again. They were your only form of friendship in this town. 

💤🎤-You had gone out to cafes and even checked out the library but no one seemed interested in befriending you. You knew it probably wasn’t the best idea to hang out with your bosses but they didn’t seem to think anything was wrong with it so you didn’t either. 

💤🎤-They were just showing you a bit of guidance when it came to being a shifter so you didn’t see the harm. 

💤🎤-“Hey, guys! How’s it going?” You chirped, settling into the back seat and putting your bag on the floor. 

💤🎤-You noticed Zashi had a pair of yellow sunglasses on, they really brought out his golden eyes and blonde hair. He looked at you in the rearview mirror, his smile just as dazzling. 

💤🎤-“Hey, Y/N! Glad you are joining us today. Are you ready to find out what type of shifter I am?” He teased, putting the car in drive. 

💤🎤-“I am surprised you weren’t insulted when she asked if you were a sand cat.” Shota cracked a grin, shooting you a look in the rearview mirror. 

💤🎤-Shota hadn’t gone against his mate’s wishes and told you what type of shifter he was but he made sure to give you guesses to ask him that he knew would tick off his blond mate. 

💤🎤-It was payback for the tooth-achingly sweet coffee you kept on giving him. You always had such a bright smile when you handed it over so he couldn’t quite tell you he found the sugary beverage repulsive. 

💤🎤-He grinned and bared it. Every sip he took making him internally wince. 

💤🎤-“I take it as a compliment. Those things are adorable.” He boasted, sticking his tongue out at his mate.  

💤🎤-“We were gonna stop by the store before we headed to the cabin,” Shota informed, turning in his seat. 

💤🎤-“Yeah, someone forgot to pick up coffee last time we went.” Zashi teased, playfully nudging his mate. 

💤🎤-“Whatever.” Shota scoffed. 

💤🎤-“Sounds good to me. I can pick up a few snacks while we are there.” You hummed, looking out the window and watching the building pass by.

💤🎤-You went off to the snack aisle while Shota and Zashi went to go get the coffee. You were eyeing the vast array of chips when someone stepped beside you. You looked over nearly gasped at the hulking man. 

💤🎤-He had to be at least 6′4. If his height wasn’t intimidating enough he had muscles stacked on muscles. He looked like he could crush you with his hand, his grey hair and fanged teeth made him look even more intimidating. 

💤🎤-He gaze was still focus on the chips in front of you but it was clear he was talking to you. 

💤🎤-“I didn’t know we had any bobcat shifters in town.” His voice was deep. 

💤🎤-You instantly stood straighter. “I just moved here so you wouldn’t have seen me around before.” 

💤🎤-“Welcome to town, it’s always nice to have more feline shifters in town. The bears and wolfs take up most of the population here.” He growled, his eyes narrowing. 

💤🎤-“Oh, well I am glad to be here. Everyone has been more than welcoming.” You gave him a fake smile, wishing he would pick his chips already and leave. 

💤🎤-“Glad to hear. Us feline shifters have to stick together.” He advised, finally taking a bag off the shelf. 

💤🎤-“Hey Y/N! Shota wanted to know if you wanted shrimp Alfredo for dinner or spaghetti?” He walked towards you, not fully noticing who was next to you until he was close enough to smell him. 

💤🎤-Cougar. 

💤🎤-Zashi hid his distaste for the man standing beside you. His lion snarling at the slimy feline next to you. 

💤🎤-“Oh spaghetti sounds nice but whatever you want is fine.” You answered, plucking a bag of salt and vinegar chips off the shelf before turning back to the ashy-haired man.  

💤🎤-“It was nice talking to you. See you around.” You polity said, beginning to walk off with Zashi.  

💤🎤-“See you around.” He sent you a sly grin. 

💤🎤-You walked down a few isles before noticing Zashi’s tense shoulders. 

💤🎤-“Everything okay?” You questioned, lifting a brow. 

💤🎤-“Yeah, I just remembered I needed to send an email before I left the office today but I forgot. It can wait till Monday though.” He recalled, scratching his head. 

💤🎤-You could tell it was something else but you didn’t press him on it. You hoped whatever was bothering him would go away though. You didn’t like the tight look on his face. 

💤🎤-Zashi was glad Shota had sent him to find you and not the other way around. 

💤🎤-“Oh, that’s good. So what do you want for dinner?” You changed the subject hoping to put him at ease. 

💤🎤-“I am a sucker for spaghetti and meatballs so looks like we are having that. Shota just wanted to ask you in case you didn’t like it. He knows if it was up to me we would eat it all the time.” He responded, losing some of the tightness in between his brows. 

💤🎤-You chuckled, walking with him to find Shota. 

💤🎤-You hoped this weekend went okay.

💤🎤-You had gotten to the cabin and helped unload all the groceries before going outside and getting ready to shift. You had your back turned while Zashi and Shota got undressed. 

💤🎤-“You ready to finally see what type of shifter I am?” Zashi called, pulling his shirt over his head. 

💤🎤-“I am betting on cheetah shifter.” You theorized, thinking of how fast he can talk.  

💤🎤-He chuckled before shifting into his big cat. The first thing his lion did was stretch and yawn. Once he got that out of the way he padded over to you. He brushed his head against your open hand. 

💤🎤-You were quick to turn around and gasp. He was a lion! 

💤🎤-“Wow! I should have guess you were a lion considering your long hair! Your mane is so pretty. Can I touch it?” You asked, looking the lions golden eyes. 

💤🎤-He nodded his big head, giving you permission. 

💤🎤-Your fingers threaded through his thick fur. It was coarser than you imagined but it was still pleasant to touch. You petted him for a minute before he walked off and nuzzled against Shota. 

💤🎤-They looked so cute together. Like night and day. You wished you had some to be with. You pushed your lonely thoughts aside. You made sure they had their backs turned before quickly taking off your clothes and shifting. 

💤🎤-Your bobcat was all too eager to dash towards the big felines and nuzzle against them with a purr. It wasn’t really appropriate if you were a regular bobcat but since your bobcat was still young they allowed it. 

💤🎤-You only really nuzzled or rubbed your scent on family or close friends. While you fit the friends part it was much too soon. Zashi had no problem with it and went straight to lightly nipping and batting at you. 

💤🎤-He hadn’t played with a cub-sized feline since he left the pride. He forgot to hold in his strength since his big paw dwarfed you and sent you tumbling a few feet away. 

💤🎤-He dashed towards you, letting out concerned moans. 

💤🎤-Shota was a bit concerned but didn’t think the tumble did you much damage. His mate was just a worrywart. He thought of the future pups they might have and how he would turn into a major mother hen with them. 

💤🎤-His panther purred at the thought. 

💤🎤-For now he watched you hop onto your feet and pounce on his mate. You wrapped around Zashi’s neck like a scarf before falling down on your back. You happy chirps made his panther rumble. 

💤🎤-The panther turned and headed off into the forest. 

💤🎤-Your bobcat had immediately noticed his departure and bounded towards him. The lion was quick to catch up, playfully nipping and rubbing up against his mate. 

💤🎤-Soon you were in a large clearing. The sun was still up in the sky but everything had started to take on a yellow color. 

💤🎤-Shota had nudged you with his bulky shoulder and led you to the trees on the outskirts. He gave you a look that said he wanted you to watch him while he climbed and jumped down. 

💤🎤-You watched him for a few minutes observing him scale the tree before leaping down it. You tried to replicate what you saw and you seemed to get the hang of it after a few times of crashing face-first into the dirt. 

💤🎤-After you were sure you had gotten it down you nuzzled up against the dark feline and gave him a gentle purr. Then you shot off and went to play with Zashi, who was stalking a butterfly. 

💤🎤-Now that Shota got his teaching out of the way he laid down in the middle of the clearing and started cleaning himself before laying back and taking a nap. His panther was a lazy one, he liked soaking up the rays while drifting off to dreamland. 

💤🎤-Once you guys got all your energy out you and Zashi strolled over to the sleeping panther. Zashi leaned down and gave Shota a big long lick right over his face. 

💤🎤-Shota didn’t even opened his eyes and just lazily swatted at his mate. Zashi plopped down behind him and started grooming him even more. You felt like you were intruding so you curled up in a ball not too far away and dozed off as well. 

💤🎤-Your chest was light and fluffy. You hoped every weekend would be this peaceful. 

💤🎤-You didn’t realize that the next morning would be the last time you shifted for a while.

I had so much fun writing the dynamic between Sho and Zashi. They are a trip. Don’t worry the reader will get added into the mix soon enough. What do you think is going on with the cougars? Why do you think the reader won’t be able to shift for a while?

(Shifter AU) Panther Aizawa Shota x Bobcat Reader x Lion Yamada Hizashi x Part of Their Pride (Chapter One)

Title: (Shifter AU) Panther Aizawa Shota x Bobcat Reader x Lion Yamada Hizashi x Part of Their Pride (Chapter One)

Summary: The boys are enjoying a quite afternoon when something catches Shota’s attention. His panther is eager to investigate.

💤🎤-Shota and Hizashi were sitting on the front porch of their log cabin enjoying the quiet morning drinking coffee. Well, one of them was.

💤🎤-“I asked you if you wanted coffee and you said no!” Zashi defended, bringing his mug to his mouth and taking a sip. 

💤🎤-“You asked me right after you drowned the only cup of coffee in two pounds of sugar! You know I like mine black.” Shota glared, eyeing the sweet beverage.

💤🎤-“I told you we were running low on coffee and to make sure to pick some up when we come back to the cabin. And what happened? You forgot.” Zashi huffed, with narrowed eyes, he peered straight ahead at the lush tree line.

💤🎤-The log cabin was nestled in the middle of a thick forest.

💤🎤-In truth, they weren’t really mad at each other. They were just bickering a lot. It came with the territory of being in a relationship for so long. Even while they argued over coffee they were still snuggled up on the bench swing Zashi insisted on having installed.

💤🎤-A small sound caught Shota’s ear, his panther lazily lifted his large head. He was used to hearing the annoying chirps from the birds but this sound was different. He tilted his head in the direction of the forest.

💤🎤-“Do you hear that, babe?” Shota asked, looking at his mate. 

💤🎤-“Mm? I don’t hear anything.”

💤🎤-The small sound called out again. This time Zashi did hear it. The sound was a little more familiar to him. Since Shota was a panther shifter much like his animal half he tended to seclude himself and didn’t live within a pride growing up.

💤🎤-Zashi, having grown up in a pride, heard that sound quite often. It was a sound one made when a feline was in distress. He often heard it when he was surrounded by cubs calling out for their moms. His lion missed the sound, he had been thrown out of the pride after his father found out about his attraction to boys. 

💤🎤-You can’t be the leader of the lion pride if you didn’t have a harem of female lion shifters. He was fine with his small little pride, Shota and him. He was all he really needed. No one else mattered enough to him. 

💤🎤-“Sounds like someone’s in trouble.” Zashi pointed out, taking another sip of his too-sweet coffee. 

💤🎤-Shota pulled himself away from his mate’s side and stood up, brushing off his sweatpants like they had dust on them despite the little amount of time they sat outside.

💤🎤-He pulled off his black v-neck shirt.

💤🎤-“Want me to come?” Zashi asked, sitting up and staring at his mate’s chest.

💤🎤-“No, stay here and enjoy your coffee.” Shota threw a small smirk over his shoulder before shifting. 

💤🎤-A black panther stalked off into the forest.

💤🎤-Honestly, you didn’t even know how you got up here. One second you were holding back tears after getting rejected from another job offer and the next you had shifted and ran off into the forest.

💤🎤-You were okay for the most part but then you ended up getting stuck in a tree. You were still new to the whole shifter thing. You had been bitten by a bobcat while hiking and the next thing you knew you were turning into a small feline every now and then.

💤🎤-Shifters were common knowledge now after they came out to the world ten years ago.

💤🎤-Although they had made themselves known to the public they were still secretive and kept to themselves. That was the whole reason you moved to this shifter town in the first place.

💤🎤-You wanted to know how being a shifter would affect your life. You tried looking online but found close to nothing about living life as a shifter. So you took a chance and moved halfway across the country to a shifter town.

💤🎤-You had a little saved up so you have an apartment now all you needed was a job. Only no one seemed to want to hire you. You had spent a whole week applying and no one called you back.

💤🎤-The stress must have caused you to shift. Now here you were crying in a tree unable to get down.

💤🎤-Your cries stopped when you heard a branch snap from a tree nearby you. Your golden eyes snapped in that direction. A hulking black panther was latched onto a big tree branch.

💤🎤-Just as sudden as your cries stopped they started back up again. You backed yourself against the tree trunk and eyed the twenty-foot long jump down the tree. Should you take your chances?

💤🎤-You noticed the panther getting ready to launch itself onto your branch. You decided jumping down was a better option than getting eaten to death. Your small feet barley left the rough wood when suddenly you were being picked up by the scruff of your neck.

💤🎤-You went slack at the action. Even if you wanted to take a swipe at the large feline your body wouldn’t corporate, it was like he found your off switch. 

💤🎤-The panther jumped from tree to tree before finally reaching the forest floor. It must have looked comical the way you were swinging around in his mouth with every leap.

💤🎤-He relaxed his jaw and released you. You closed your eyes waiting for his sharp teeth to sink into your soft fur. Once a few seconds went by and you weren’t torn apart you opened your eyes and looked up at him.

💤🎤-His indifferent stare met your curious one. You noticed he had a large scar on his left eye. It made him look even bigger and scarier but he couldn’t be that bad considering he did save you. He could have left you stuck up in the tree. 

💤🎤-You let out a small chuff before letting yourself rub up on his front legs.

💤🎤-You almost fell when he started walking forward, he made sure to throw a look over his shoulder before walking away. He wanted you to follow him. You dashed off in his direction.

💤🎤-You spend the next few minutes nipping and playfully growling at him. He let you do what you wanted, not fazed by your playful mood. Lord knows his mate was a thousand times worse in his animal form.

💤🎤-It was only when you let out a small cry and whimper that he looked back at you. You had one of your front legs lifted off the ground. A thorny branch laying right next to you.

💤🎤-You hadn’t spent much time in your feline form so you didn’t have rough pads like your panther friend, he was able to walk on the thorns no problem.

💤🎤-The dark cat huffed before laying down and pulling you against his chest. He wasted no time letting his coarse tongue lick your injured leg. Once he was sure he got it out he stood up and grabbed you by your scruff again.

💤🎤-The walk back was taking way longer than he wanted.

💤🎤-Soon his intimidating frame was walking up the front yard. Zashi was standing on the porch waiting for him. 

💤🎤-“Aw! Who’s that cute little thing?” Zashi awed, over the small cat in his mate’s mouth. 

💤🎤-Sho laid the feline at his mate’s feet before shifting back. Zashi passed him his clothes before swatting down to look at the new arrival. He offered his hand so you could take in his scent. 

💤🎤-He seemed nice and friendly. Soon you were nuzzling his hand and legs much as you did with the giant panther. A small purr coming from you now and then. You about melted Zashi’s heart. 

💤🎤-“You think it is one of the cubs from town? Maybe they got lost?” Zashi looked up at his now dressed mate. 

💤🎤-“Beats me. I found them stuck in a tree. They nearly killed themselves trying to get away from me.” He pushed his long hair out of his face.  

💤🎤-“I would be scared too if I was their size and saw you coming.” Zashi chuckled, picking up the affectionate cub and walking inside the cabin. 

💤🎤-He walked you to the bathroom and sat you down on the wooden floor. You blinked up at him. You were too cute! His lion was purring at the adorable sight. The giant feline was more than ready to raise cubs.

💤🎤-“Do you know how to change back?” He asked, bending down with his hands on his knees. You merely twitched your nose at his question. You usually only changed back when your bobcat got tried. 

💤🎤-“Just picture yourself pushing your animal aside and focus on bringing forth your human. Don’t do it now though. Wait until after I bring you some clothes.” He smiled, before going to go get some clothes from the bedroom.  

💤🎤-He passed Shota in the kitchen on his way. 

💤🎤-“What are you doing? We already ate breakfast.” Zashi questioned, eyeing his mate cooking at the stove. 

💤🎤-“The cub is gonna be hungry coming out of a shift,” Shota replied, putting bacon in the pan. 

💤🎤-Zashi kept his lion from purring but that didn’t mean he didn’t have a huge smile on his face while he shuffled through his and Sho’s dresser. He knew his clothes would be best for the small cub. 

💤🎤-They would most likely still fall off their small frame. Nevertheless, he delivered the clothes and waited for them to change and come out of the restroom. While Sho was mixing up pancake batter Zashi was bouncing excitedly on the couch. 

💤🎤-The little feline was so adorable, he could only imagine what they looked like in human form. He was gonna have a hard time handing you over to your parents. He didn’t doubt that you had gotten under his mate’s fur as well, with your cute golden eyes and adorable tail.  

💤🎤-He heard the door click open. He had a bright smile on his face ready to greet the little cub, only a young woman was standing in the bathroom doorway, dressed in his baggy clothes. 

💤🎤-“You’re not a cub.” Zashi gasped, looking at your mature figure. 

💤🎤-Shota paused he stirring to lean over the breakfast bar and looked over at the timid female. He almost dropped the bowl. His panther didn’t even know how to react. He had been certain you were a cub with the way you interacted with his panther. 

💤🎤-Only a carefree cub would rub up against his intimidating beast like he was their parent. 

💤🎤-“A cub?” You asked, tilting your head, you bunched the band shirt the blond gave you in your hands. 

💤🎤-Sho and Hizashi shot each other looks. What the heck is going on?

💤🎤-“So you were bitten?” Hizashi echoed, gently brushing out your tangled hair.  

💤🎤-He stood behind the couch running a comb through your hair. He would have liked to have you sit on the floor while he sat behind you but he didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. 

💤🎤-“Yes. I’m still pretty new to the whole shifter thing so I have the climbing thing down but not much else.” You explained, purring at his gentle touch on your head. 

💤🎤-“Are you almost done? The food is gonna get cold.” Sho’s called from the table. They might have already eaten breakfast before you showed up but it didn’t take much to convince a shifter to eat twice. 

💤🎤-He secretly didn’t want to make you more uncomfortable by being the only one eating.  

💤🎤-“Hold on, Sho. Not everyone doesn’t care that their hair looks like a rats nest.” Zashi tossed over his shoulder, snickering at his mate’s cold glare. 

💤🎤-Sho rolled his eyes before dishing out the breakfast. He made sure to put a little extra on your plate. After a few minutes, your hair was tangle-free and you were led over to the table.

💤🎤-The steaming pile of pancakes looked delicious but the portion size threw you off a bit. 

💤🎤-“Are you sure this is my plate? It’s a lot of food.” You asked, staring at the plate. 

💤🎤-“Yeah, it’s yours. We ate a little before we found you so we are eating light.” Zashi assured, already munching on the fried bacon. 

💤🎤-You looked at both their plates. They looked like a normal serving size for men of their size. 

💤🎤-“Light?” You repeated, really confused. 

💤🎤-Shota felt a small tingle of worry slide down his back. 

💤🎤-“How much do you usually eat in one meal?” He inquired, leaning his elbows on the table and resting his scruffy chin on his hands. 

💤🎤-“Mm.” You pondered, before deciding to just show them. The severing plates and pans were on the table so you just slide everything back on their dish. You left two pancakes on your plate, one strip of bacon, and a small handful of eggs. 

💤🎤-“About this much.” You informed, looking down at your plate. 

💤🎤-Zashi choked on his pancake. His lion was completely displeased with this news. Shota had the same look of shock and uneasiness on his face. His panther pacing at the mere thought of you starving yourself 

💤🎤-“Honey, that’s not good. You need to eat triple that every meal or you will wither away. No wonder your bobcat is still in its early stages.” Zashi gently reprimanded leaning over and pilling everything back on your plate. He might have added a bit more as well. 

💤🎤-“Why I feel fine? I get a little hungry throughout the day but I just thought that was normal.” You questioned, finally taking a bite of the fluffy pancakes. 

💤🎤-“Shifters need a lot of food to sustain themselves. We burn a lot of calories even if we don’t shift that day. Speaking of shifting, why did you shift knowing you still don’t have a handle controlling your animal?” Shota questioned, lifting a brow. 

💤🎤-“Oh, I think it was stress. I haven’t been able to find a job yet and it has been weighing on me. I just moved to town so I don’t have a lot of connections.” You slumped in your chair, biting off a bit of bacon. 

💤🎤-Hizashi and Shota pass each other a look. You bounce glances at both of them. 

💤🎤-“What?” You hummed, scooping up some eggs. Shota was a good cook. 

💤🎤-“We kinda own a company in town. I am not saying we could give you a job but you can interview for our company if you want.” Zashi offered, sending you a warm smile. 

💤🎤-“Really? What type of positions are open?” You brightened, your heart lifting at the thought of getting a job. Your bobcat was also loving the idea of seeing them every day. 

💤🎤-“One the job that we have been needing to fill is an assistant for both of us.” Zashi glared at Shota. “The last one left crying.” 

💤🎤-Shota rolled his eyes, “She was only crying because I wouldn’t allow her to undress in my office.” 

💤🎤-You flushed at his sentence. No doubt they were both very handsome but you couldn’t picture someone blatantly throwing themselves at them.  

💤🎤-“Yeah, well I liked her. She made good coffee.” Zashi sighed, acting like he wasn’t prepared to maul the tall brunette every time she eye-fucked his mate. He was supposed to be the only one eye-fucking him. 

💤🎤-“Anyways, that position is still open and I believe we have a few others if you are interested in something else.” Zashi continued, hoping you would apply so he could see your adorable face every day. 

💤🎤-You simply thanked them for the opportunity before switching to lighter topics. Shota would chime in now and then poking fun at his blond lover. Zashi brightly talked about music when you asked about the band t-shirt he had given you. 

💤🎤-Soon your plate was wiped clean and it was time to head back to your apartment. The boys left to dress in something more suitable to wear before having you pile into the car. 

💤🎤-Once slow jazz song into the car ride and you were passed out in the back seat. Shota noticed your quiet figure and turned off the radio. He turned to his mate. 

💤🎤-“We are giving her a job right?” Shota bluntly asked, not beating around the bush. 

💤🎤-Zashi hummed and nodded his gaze staying focused on the dirt road and burred trees. 

💤🎤-“Yes. She is newly turned so it would be better for her to be around other feline shifters. You saw how she didn’t even know how much to put on her plate, she could use some guidance. From what she said she hasn’t been getting any job offers and as much as I don’t like to think about it, it could be because she is a feline shifter.” Zashi tapped his fingers against the steering wheel. 

💤🎤-Shota nodded, ”The town is mainly wolf and bear shifters so it wouldn’t be unlikely. They tend to want to stay within their packs. I’m just glad she didn’t apply for anything involving the cougar pride.” Shota’s voice darkened at the end. 

💤🎤-Zashi reaches over and took his love’s hand. 

💤🎤-“None of that. Let’s just be glad we finally get an assistant, a cute one at that.” Hizashi grinned, sending his mate a wink. 

💤🎤-Shota rolled his eyes but the smirk on his face relayed his playful mood. 

💤🎤-“Should I be worried about you taking an interest in our new employee?” Shota teased, rubbing his thumb up and down Zashi’s hand. 

💤🎤-“Of course not babe! You know you are the only one for me!” Zashi reassured, blowing Sho a kiss. Shota chuckled, looking back into the rearview mirror. He was glad to see you had stayed asleep during their talk. 

💤🎤-They didn’t know that they would be eating their words in a few months. It would take them a while but they would realize what they felt for you was more than friendship. 

💤🎤-They wanted you part of their little pride.  

A shifter AU! I had this Shifter AU idea in my head for a while but I didn’t think I would be starting with Sho and Zashi. I had this idea come to me last night so hopefully you all like it! I do plan on making other parts so don’t worry! 💛🖤
