"Nearly two years ago, I imagined creating an underwater series called Amanzi (which means “water” in Zulu) to literally and figuratively immerse subjects into another element.
During the editing process, I drew the majority of my inspiration from music, nature, life and religion.
My goal as of now is to be an underwater photographer and make people feel something, I don’t know what yet, I just want them to feel."

On the ancient art of burning sage:
Burning sage is one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing a person, group of people or space. Other qualities of sage when burned, such as giving wisdom, clarity, and increasing spiritual awareness are also indicated in the name. The Latin word of sage, "Salvia" stems from the word "to heal".
