Let me tell you why I love you..
There are a lot of reasons why, but let me share this one to you.
I fell in love with God. I fell in love with the community, the ministry, with my service. I served the Lord for more than a decade, I thought I would go through being a full-time pastoral worker, but, things didn’t happen as what I expected to be. God has a different plan for me. I didn’t go through the MV Program, instead I worked away from the ministry.
I got lost, I was unhappy, I started feeling ungrateful, I was guilty. But I have to go on to support my family. Even if I tried to have fun, I know that a part inside me was missing. Tho I attended mass services, I still pray the rosary, regular confession, but.. I didn’t know what to do to be able to have the same lifestyle I had before.
Then you came. You’re from the other side of the world for the last 22 years of our lives. We met, and I heard you sharing to everyone that you’re new to this place and living with your brother in YFC. Hearing that was a harmony in my soul. I felt that, there’s someone I could get along, who understands me and sing the same worship songs, whom I could openly talk about Jesus without judging me, telling me I’m weird. I have met a soul that understands mine. I found a home. And that’s how it started.
I was just happy I meet your soul, but what you did after that was another blast of surprises more than I thought I deserve. All I asked for is a companion, but God gave me you-the other half of me. And you always make me feel grateful all the time. I love you Joemell P. Duarte :*
