Can you explain pumpkin rabbit?

Basically pumpkin rabbit and witch sheep aka Lorenzo and Rachel waterman are serial killers. They target kids every halloween. Being serial killers the photos of their victims are like a prize

Were last victims, which rightfully parents basically executed Lorenzo and Rachel

I think because of the deaths on Halloween that made the house haunted. All souls both killer and victims became trapped/dormant.

But then we have new batch of kids which awaken the spirits of Lorenzo and Rachel. Why wasn’t the house torn down after their deaths is beyond me lol

Story ends with Jenny ( dog girl) burning the photo book which I guess freed the souls of kids and in turn trap the killers. Hopefully the house gets torn down
